The average salary of Nigerian worker based on the national minimum wage is N18,000.00, So, the yearly salary is N18,000.00 x 12 = N216,000.00 ($1,333.00)
Remember, Yearly Salary of Nigerian Senator = $2,183,685.00.
Proportion: $2,183,685.00/$1,333.00 = 1,638

It will take an average Nigerian worker 1,638 years to earn the yearly salary of a Nigerian Senator.

you have to give a more credible source before quoting bogus digits. you can claim that is how much they loot but not how much they are officially paid pls. I know senators who are not really wealthy even after 4 years in office. you guys should stop mis-leading people

That is why most of them want to kill themselves to get there. Nigeria won't compare itself to America when it has to do with what affects the masses welfare, its only compared when it benefits the government.

Polithievians
Legislooters
Sedators
Representathieves

And the masses are happy and not even perturbed about it. Some folks will soon be here chanting "Sai Buhari" and saTANists will come with theirs.

The senators you know that aren't wealthy after 4years probably borrowed money to fund their elections into office and they had to pay while in office so they went bankrupt after their ill 4years in office.

Also they had to settle their political godfathers with large proportion of their pay. Don't you know that some political office holders are just mere protege?

Do you know how many senators are in Nigeria? multiply your figure per senator. cross-check with the national budget listing, then come back and apologise.

When you divide this amount by the number of Lawmakers at the federal level, you will get a mind boggling amount. That should put it in proper perspective for you @jasper7

Just figured how crazy this guy is...he converted yearly allowances to monthly. ..personal assistant, severance gratuity leave, car etc are yearly allowances but instead he adds every thing as monthly and still multiplied it by 12...sick
