Why can't GEJ improve our home Universities for these "first class graduates" to study or to be trained here. This simply means education in dis country is a mess. 4 Likes 4 Shares |

Out of 940 first class graduates. They need only 100? Whereas more than 30000 militants were sent abroad 4 rehabilitation. Our president is now encouraging us to be a problem2 d society rather than an asset to the society. 3 Likes |

They are bragging about the fact that Nigerian education is not good enough. The MINISTER OF EDUCATION is proudly announcing that 100 students in the entire country will receive a quality education... IN ANOTHER COUNTRY. They didn't even say where. Just "anywhere but Nigeria". Nigeria. Is. A. Joke. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

clemz88:give them job and they earn 250,000 monthly and it ends there, what abt gaining wilder knowledge that will give them opportunity to establish themselves to be the one to employ people instead of working for somebody. I believe those graduates will prefer the offer made to them then given them a job. |

Thought this is a new scheme... It started in 2012 with more than 200 beneficiaries as at the last round. I can't believe this is just getting noticed by most people. Nigeria... Relevant news spread very slow! |

jboy73:U just spoke my mind. The money for a program in abroad for a single graduate would have served more graduates here in Naija Universities. They can not just think straight. GMB will put things right bro. |

You don't have to go abroad to get quality education if you fix the education system we have here. Wole Soyinka is a product of a Nigerian University (UI) why don't these myopic leaders spend the money fixing the universities here instead of contributing to the development of foreign universities. Do they not know that foregn universities use the higher fees they charge foreign students to subsidize education for their locals? Why don't they spend the money recruiting the best foreign lecturers to come here and impact their knowledge for which more than 100 students will benefit? |

This is it, when such a program is designed and designated abroad, what then happens to our tertiary institutions here at home. They spent huge money to better the lot of universities abroad with firm foundation already, and leave our very own universities tattered and underdeveloped... |
