Guess the grace does not work then.
it sure do.......a distinctive differences between a believer and an unbeliever is the ability to consciously withdraw from sin and feel sorry if found guilty(believers) and the inability to(unbelievers) respectively. So Grace just comes in here.......Salvation attracts more of this Grace which enables this distinction

Well, I honestly do love this and fully understand what the OP has written. But may I add also...

When micro organisms are transferred from their natural habitat to a medium culture, it is for the purpose of isolation and identification. The culture medium contains their necessary nutritional requirement for growth and reproduction. At the first instance, the micro organism adapts to its new environment at which its growth is slow. After this, it goes into its exponential phase where its growth and reproduction is most active and rapid.

Accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour takes you from your natural habitat (the world) to your spiritual habitat (the kingdom of God), which is your culture medium. Your ability to adapt to your new environment is by the spirit of adoption, Holy spirit (Rom 8:15). The kingdom of God has all the necessary nutritional requirement for your spiritual growth. One thing with growth factors is that they are substances required for growth and can not be synthesized by the organism. It is in God that you receive your growth requirement, you can't get it by yourself. The Holy spirit takes you to your exponential phase when you yield to Him. At this point, your spiritual growth and reproduction, which is your multiplication is very active and rapid. The evidence of your spiritual growth are the fruits you bear. We are being isolated and identified with Christ. You must first be isolated from the world before you can be identified with christ.

Don't worry if your spiritual growth seems to be slow or even stagnant. In fact, we are commanded not to worry (Phil 4:6-7, Matt 6:25_34). You are a work-in-progress, just yield yourself and surrender completely to Him. Matt 16:24 says; then Jesus said to His disciples if any one wishes to come after me,he must first deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me. He has given us the power to choose, He works with what we choose. Do you desire to follow Him but still holding back to yourself, to that which is not? Mark 10:28; Peter began to say to Him, "Behold, we have left everything and followed You". All you basically have to do is to surrender and follow him.

Be the clay and let Him mould you, be the vessel and let Him fill you, be the light and let Him be your source of power. Be the carrier of His presence.

Since we are expected to commit sin every now and then and feel guilt we don't need the grace na. It's just your conscience you need.

We are not expected to commit Sin Oo grin Ha!
As a born again you are expected to do away with Sin at all cost but if per adventure you fall because of flesh it does not make you less a born again you are just a born again guilty of sin. And God punishes His children for every wrong deeds and yet He forgives them when they ask for forgiveness.
We are not expected to Sin.

Ecclesiastes 7:20

Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins.

Anyone that tells you otherwise is just in denial. smiley
The Bible does not lie.
Sins are committed in 3 main forms: thoughts, words and deeds.
Furthermore, it's connected to several other things in our lives.

Nevertheless, the objective is not to give in and continue wallowing in sin whenever we fall but to pray for God's grace to be able to pick ourselves up and continue the spiritual race.

Pray... Even if you feel so weak, and it's only a whisper you have left, just pray.
Support the prayer with your belief that the word òf God will never return void. smiley

In order to overcome, we need to know the enemy:

Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

One of the most fundamental and yet mostly ignored is the spirit of distraction. The objective of that spirit is to weaken your mind in readiness to entertain thoughts and deeds that are not pleasing to God.

Few examples we should be able to relate to:

●The tiredness you feel when you want to pray in the morning vs the energy you have to reach for you phone and socialize smiley

●That sleep that comes when the sermon is on in church but quickly evaporates after the sermon. cry

●The hundreds of distracting thoughts and brilliant ideas that bombard you when in prayer but readily vanish after prayers. shocked

●Bothered about the clothes and shoes people wore to church. cool

These things distract us from benefitting from the power and blessings we are suppose to receive from our connection with God.
Remember that we speak with God through prayers and there are forces all around us aimed at killing our urge to pray.
Let's not remember to pray only when we're in trouble or have a need.

Deposit your prayers in the prayer bank now. It costs just a few minutes on your knees alone in your room or enclosure.
Several unknown people out there on the other side of this world needs your prayers. We are one big family.

Shalom

May our prayers, sacrifices and love bring us closer to God in Jesus name. smiley smiley smiley

1. Do you think the divine nature in Christ is the same as divine nature in us even though we both live in the flesh?
2. Since you became a Christian, and you are of divine nature, have you sinned? Did you sin today and will you sin tomorrow?
you are right my brother.. God him self is not ignorance of our weakness as humans.that's one reason why Christ came in the flesh to experience how it feels to be in the flesh.he cried when the time drew near for him to be offered, he said the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak..been in the flesh he had to pray for strength from above..even with his exceptional divine nature he still feel it harsh..so as humans its not ezy for we to not sin..but its by his grace and the mercies of God that we can obtain salvation..
Re: Why Do "Born Again" Christians Still Commit Sin? by Nobody: 10:24am On Sep 04, 2016
The main thing you guys ought to know is that humans are not impeccable so we sin often.your top most concern should be not to remain in sin whenever you fall. That is why we have avenue that we can make reparation to God.if devil can tempt jesus then how much more we mere mortals.despite your born again status, you can still fall prey to sin but once you fall, rise, pacify God and continue the race.

Hell No! To ur hypothesis of no substantial proof in d scripture. Jesus lives in this flesh and was sinless!!! Its better not to talk than to say something that will accuse u on the Last day.

The consummation of Jesus christ is not the same as ours hence I agree with the old nature thing which made our salvation to be by grace. Shallom

IT IS IN THE BIBLE GO AND MAKE UR RESEARCH VERY WELL...ONCE U AR DEPPEN INTO THE WATERS, YOU ARE DEAD TO SIN AND ALIVE IN CHRIST...I.E, EVERYTHING ABOUT U BCOMS NEW JUST LIKE THE WAY U WERE BORN FROM UR MOTHERS WOMB. THE WORD born again christins simply mins born again christlike because we are many...UNBELIEVERS ALSO DU BAPTISM AND DEY ALSO USE THE WORD BORN AGAIN...SO WE USE THE WORD CHRISTIAN/CHRISTLIKE. TO MAKE DE DEFNCE...ALTHOUGH, IT IS DERIVATIVE...(SO
I have adressed this issue over and over again. There is nothing like born again Christains!!!
Re: Why Do "Born Again" Christians Still Commit Sin? by Taolyn4lif(m): 11:29am On Sep 04, 2016
I see Christianity as a journey, a long journey to our heavenly father in which we learn more as we progress through it.

A Christian may not fully understand the gospel of Christ at the beginning of their Christian life, thus may commit sin due to ignorance. As they progress through the journey and in further realization of more truths, they realise that they had committed sins sometimes ago, and ask for God's forgiveness and case settled.

And as a matter of fact, that someone is a christian doesn't make them lose their human nature. They face temptation of different kinds, and even persecutions. That brings about battle between the spirit and the flesh. Sometimes the spirit wins and sometimes the flesh overcome. Our duty as Christians is to try as much as possible not to let the flesh overcome, but if it does we soonest repent of our sins and restore and even strengthen more the good relationship with our heavenly Father.

So Christians committing sins is not a kind of mystery like the title of the thread portrays it. It is explainable and understandable.

IF WE SAY WE HAVE NOT OR WE AV NO SIN, WE DECIEVE OUR SELF AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN US....WE AR FLESH AND BLOOD NOT IMMOTAL LIKE GOD DAT HS NO SIN...SO SIN IS EMINENT DAT IS Y GOD IS DER AND EVER JUST TO FORGIV US OUR SINS ANYTYM WE SIN AND ASK FOR FORGIVNES...WE CANNOT BELIKE GOD.

Please this is very important, I urge you read it, it changed my thinking about the sin ish.

VICTORY OVER SIN

“For we are saved by hope, but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth why doth he yet hope for?” Romans 8:24

A lot of persons are crying in their closest, “Lord I have given my life to you, why does sin still have dominion over me. But they are shy to say it, because the last time they went to church their pastor preached that “Once you are born again, the power of sin instantly dies” and likewise a lot of Christian live in condemnation.

The question then is, what is the problem with the gospel of salvation that we heard? We see it in teachings but not in practice. Is it that the blood of Christ that was shed 2000 years ago has expired and can no longer save from sin? Did Jesus really die?

We hear that sin is defeated at salvation, but peter was born again, yet he denied Christ, Paul spoke rashly to an elder, and peter in Galatians 2 was caught in hypocrisy. And so Paul said to him if I build again the things which I destroyed I make myself a transgressor.

What really is salvation and how do we lose it? Let me make it clear, Jesus can save us from sin, and his blood never expires even after 2000 years. But there is one enemy of salvation, and that is the flesh.

Let us examine what we were taught about salvation. 1 John 5:18 says “He that is born of God does not commit sin” What is written there is not “he that is born again” or he that said “Jesus come into my life”, it is clear, it reads “He that is born of God”

Another surprising thing is that John 1:12 says that “But as many that received him…to them he gave power to become sons of God” better put, to them he gave power to become “born of God” so at salvation we are given the power to become sons of God, not necessarily that we are sons of God.

The question then is, how can we become “born of God?” We are considered dead until we become born of God.

Remember that John 3:16 says that “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes on him shall not perish but have everlasting LIFE” Also remember that when Adam and Eve fell, they lost eternal LIFE. And so Jesus died, and the Bible says that he became the first born, and we are sons. So Jesus came to give us eternal LIFE, through sonship. So to enter into heaven we must be “born of God”. Now that LIFE of sonship that qualifies us for heaven can only be attained by one means. See below

Romans 8: 6 says, “For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is LIFE and peace” Hence the equation has been solved to be born of God is to be spiritually minded.

Now victory over sin comes by being spiritually minded and not just born again, those are the people that cannot sin, because they are not of the flesh. What it means is that sin becomes repulsive to them, not that they are completely immune to sin, or if they sin it would not be counted against them.

And so the Bible says in Romans 12, “be ye transformed (into sons of God) by the renewing of your mind” so you can truly overcome the works of the flesh. Our mind is renewed by the word of God.
Now you see why you may still sin even after salvation, because the spirit and the flesh are in constant contention. But from today’s text, we are saved by hope, and everything we hope for may not be seen at the moment. But the power over sin has been given you.

You must refuse to let your failures deter you; if you fall today you will not fall tomorrow. Let your faith be strong in Gods saving grace. Run back to God, it does not mean you are not born again.(1 John 2:1) Be transformed to become born of God by reading the word and walking by the spirit, giving no room for the flesh. In this generation you need the infilling of the Holy Spirit

You cannot say that you have been delivered from the spirit of masturbation and you are still watching pornography! It will come back. Give no room for the flesh!

Romans 8:23 says, Paul speaking, “…Even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption to wit (to become born of God), the redemption of our body”

Salvation is faith. It is not giving excuses for sin; it is the hope that sin is defeated, even if it does not yet appear. But we know that once hope is perfected in us, then we are made perfect. This is the pressing into perfection called sanctification; the total defeat of the flesh.

With love,

It is more of grace to make heaven, because no one knows God's marking scheme or can read his mind, mind you, some parts of the bible were truncated.

If God should require 75% as the pass mark to make heaven, then am sorry to say, Hell fire will be overcrowded.

let's just try and reconnect with our God at all times
for instance, the thief at the right hand of Christ who asked for forgiveness at the last moment went to heaven despite all the crimes he committed,
but some loyal or faithful followers might die in the act of sin,

That's why we shouldn't put our money on modern day pastors, or even judge.
