Some of them lack "enough" talent to sustain their careers ,therefore its only Government patronages guarantee good cash flow when their career take downward swings. 9 Likes |

Some are being greedy Some are being patriotic about it Some their talent can sustain their big mouth Some just wanna feel among. But, anyone who is blinded by what to eat and drink..... Tried to shove a square peg in a round hole to the populace will loose his/her credibility youth are asking for credible role model.... Will the musicians act wisely and let common sense prevail on their choice 4 Likes |

I don't see anything wrong with it. They, like everyone else have the right to vote. Humanly, they would also want others to see and move to their tent, hence the endorsements. What we shouldnt condone is overaggressiveness in campaigning. Btw, nicely written article OP. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

The state of the Nigerian political interest is at its apogee, and there is therefore no party or individual that will open his/her eyes wide open until an ant pass through. Celebrities are Nigerians too and they have the right to pitch there tent. After all some of them have joined the political race, some won and others lost. At one point or the other in life, one of these must happen to you. Its either you win or u loose to win. As it stands, if you don't stand for something and rather prefer to sit on d fence u are d no one enemy of state. They are popular, there opinions too will be propagated farther. The worse scenario will have been a total askance where all d celebrities decide to follow the incumbent government. Its all good, let them heat up the polity! 2 Likes |

Its a norm all over the world. So that their followers may endorse the politician. Usually some of them are paid to do it while some of them are just being philanthropic. |

Nigerian artiste are also Nigerians who feel the brunt of the current useless govt. If I can talk and express my wish why shouldnt the artistes as long as you are not on the side of oppression If you are on the side of oppression most likely your career would go down I remember the artistes that went for the Youth Earnestly Ask for ABacha, like Shina peters, Baba Fryo their career went down the train immediately after. In OAU Ife Sir Shina Peters actually had to prostrate and beg That is why a musician like Fela remains a legend even decades after his death, He stood with the people 4 Likes |
