Dear NLs,
I wish to briefly share my New Year Free medical outreach here with the hope of inspiring us all to do the little we can for poor people before raining insults on Government! I have been an Active member of this Forum hence I had to create a New Moniker to maintain some degree of Anonymity!
With the Election Frenzy everywhere and the bad news that seems to choke every media we turn to, one sees himself losing touch with Humanity daily, thus this New Year, I decided to touch a few lives in my village(with my chukuli small savings)
I bought some Medication, called up some Colleagues who willingly accompanied me to the village which is somewhere in Idomaland! We sought permission from the relevant authorities, made announcements and spread our Tent! We saw approximately 240 of them on an Outpatient basis and consulted, counselled, prescribed, free lab testing, and gave free drugs!
It was such a touching experience because majority of these people were so poor, they could barely afford the cost treatment for their conditions(as simple as they were) even though their "Sons" occupy lofty positions in Govt and are promising them Heaven and earth should they be voted in 2015!
Either way, Whether APC or PDP, Christian or Muslim, North or South! Let's remember we are Humans 1st before being Politicians thus we owe Humanity the basic Love, Care and Kindness required of us!
Thank You and Happy Sunday!!!

PS: please I would love a link on how one can volunteer to serve in some of the IDP centres scattered across the North!
