After my dad’s burial, his brothers took over his properties and barred my mum and me from even going close to any of his houses. My dad died without writing a will. My mum, having nothing left in Anambra, had to move us back to Lagos to pick up the pieces of whatever was left of her life.

At this juncture, I stopped reading. Seriously, why tag my state with devilish and barbaric acts?

A graduate of law got stripped of all her husband's wealth by her semi-literate in-law, leaving her without a penny. That has nollywood written all over it. I know it's fictional but you have to date this story back to the 80’s for it to be a little digestible.

Look, I'm sitting on okada right now typing this. Its not everyday we see a short story on fp. I'll save this page, and read it during supper.

This guy coins his words with perfection.. I love this story line..the writer is so good in getting the readers interest and I love the suspense in the write up
