Child abuse has become like a norm in Nigeria.2 out of every 5 children has been subjected to abuse. And the government needs to stand up and implement harsh laws and capital punishment to people caught in the act of child abuse or soliciting child pornography.

Many... So many things happening in the world today.

A thread was opened here two days ago speaking about how a paedophile molested a 6 year old child or so from Enugu ...A lot of people here were putting the blame on the paedophile, I quickly said: I BLAME THE PARENTS.

Most parents are ignorant about this.
They go about their jobs and leave their children at the mercy of neighbors, even with relatives is risky- They must protect THE GIRL CHILD.

It's not just I cover my child with the blood of Jesus. Nah!
Cover her also with Knowledge!

All those male and female home lesson teachers, watch out!

All those house girls and house boys, WATCH OUT!

All those neighbour's children, watch out!

Many learned mothers are just ignorant in this aspect. They watch home videos all day and despise to seek what their teenage daughter is going through. She wants to talk to mummy, but she's busy then she goes to talk a boy who in turn defile her. #deep sigh #

# PROTECT THE GIRL CHILD#

I recommend this book by the OP.

Don't forget dangers of early exposure. In Russia Putin made it illegal for adults teaching younger ones dangers in homosexuality, he doesn't even want kids knowing homosexuality exists.

But why is this directed towards female kids alone, does that mean male kid don't get molested? Pls, stop this double standard and educate your male kids about sex!

This is a very important piece, sexual education must start early and moved up as kids age.

Parents must create an atmosphere that makes kids comfortable and able to communicate with them. Parents must actively listen to their children and must not be dismissive of their statements.

When I was much younger, one of my ex neighbour used to 'touch' his house maid in public areas when he thought the coast was clear. She was like 10-13 and just developing. He was caught a few times. This man was married.

Mothers have an important role to play because they are usually closer to the kids.

Fathers can be close to. (CAN)

No sir. The book is directed at both. Even on the book cover, there are pictures of a male and a female child.

You will notice that the OP even started her introduction with the story of a male child protecting his privates.

Male children get molested too.

there is this dark short swimming instructor at Rita-Lori surulere who is of the habit of fondl.ing girls in the pool, regardless of the age.
he tried it recently with my little sister of about 16 yrs old, i did not know until we got home and she told me that's why she left the water permanently. I wish she had told me right there and she would have been the last girl he would ever touch.
cant remember his name

If you're sure it's his habit, people need to take action against him. Report him to the people that employed him please. Please do something about it.

So the time i spent reading this, about a hundred persons have commented already undecided
Lordmykel ar you a learner? angry

mostly male abusing female, the girl child is always at risk.
Thank God i'm male.

And to all the male with female monikers on Nairaland and a fake (f) beside his name should be careful,
he could be abused grin

Now i know almost every female has been abused. Once again i thank God i'm male.

About 90% of boys/man (male) who comment on this thread have abused someone sexually in one way or the other.

Thank God I'm a shy boy, i dont even have the courage to approach a girl. Atleast this is the only sin i have not commited for now.

Who knows tomorrow? wink
