Fire outbreak occurred in the early hours of today at the multi-billion naira Heritage Mall in Ibadan. the fire gutted the multimillion naira cinema at the mall belonging to Filmhouse Cinema.

Onlookers said the fire outbreak started in the early hours of the day which made it very difficult to put under control considering the fact that no one sleeps in the mall and offices don't open until around 10 in the morning.

Since it began operations about 2 years ago, the cinema has been a beehive of activities attracting thousands of movie lovers every week.

Following the success of the cinema, the management decided to open another branch at A new mall that recently opened at Samonda in the heart of the city, very close to the University of Ibadan.

Movie lovers expressed shock at the development, hoping that reconstruction work would be sped up so that movie lovers in Ibadan can begin to watch films at the cinema once again.
