The "royal" crooner has cut her New Zealand summer vacation short,
jetting to Los Angeles to hang out with showbiz pal Taylor
Swift.
Taylor posted a photo of herself, Lorde, members of the girl
band Haim, model Jamie King and figure skater Gracie Gold
strutting down a street in Catalina Island, just off the coast
of Los Angeles.
She captioned the pic: "Wandering around Catalina with my
favorite people to wander around with."
Lorde has taken a piece of New Zealand with her, donning a
grey boyfriend t-shirt by local label Lonely. The $99 t-shirt
has now sold out on the brand's website.
Lorde had spent the last two weeks travelling around New
Zealand with boyfriend James Lowe and sister Jerry. She
shared snaps from her road trip, including a lake-side snap
of her in a black swimsuit clutching a $10 Mitre 10 rubber
ring.
The 18-year-old is in California with her family ahead of the
Golden Globe Awards ceremony tomorrow.
The Kiwi teen's Yellow Flicker Beat - the theme song of The
Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 - is nominated in the best
original song in a motion picture category, alongside music
by Lana Del Ray, John Legend, Patti Smith and Sia.
