Anybody that think boko haram is sponsored by APC or some northern politicians or even PDP is very delusional.

Boko haram is well organized terror squad that can only be funded, armed and trained by a very strong foreign (and I don't mean any african) interest(s).

Boko haram base has no sea or ocean around it. And yet they don't seem to run out of ammunition.

They are simulteanously fighting three countries and don't seem to have shortage of foot soldiers and attack strategies. And these are supposed to be guys with no known military training on warfare?

How come CNN and other European media can have access to them to conduct 'interviews' and yet they are invisible to the nigerian army.

Is anybody aware that a large deposit of oil has been discovered in the CHAD basin (boardering nigeria, Cameroon and chad)?

And is it any coincidence that these are the same countries that boko haram is attacking?

How come these guys have access to more suphisticated arms and our government can't (but arms are usually bought from practically the same source)

Listen..., everyone should take a chill pill and stop this APC/PDP blame game. Broaden your thinking and begin to analyse this issue from a multi-faceted approach.

Our politicians from both parties know the truth but can't face up to it.

The bombings, the CHIBOK girls, the recent fire outbreaks are all linked together.

MY FELLOW NIGERIANS YOU BETTER START TO THINK INTELLIGENTLY AND STOP THIS CHILDISH ARGUMENTS ON THIS FORUM
May God bless you.

Ooer, was intending to use the video above to make a point but Lo and behold, the darned critters have evolved. The once in that barrel are actually cooperating to fend of the threat of the guy poking at them. Look, in one part, they even formed a pyramid. shocked They’ve evolved while the humans beyond Nigeria have not - how humiliating embarassed

Hmmm...wonder if Nigerians will behave in the up-coming election and show the rest of Africa how evolved human beings are superposed to comport themselves.

The problem and difficulty in achieving this would always be The Northern part of Nigeria. Do you think they would allow such to happen,
without thinking about what they gain from those illegal immigrants during census and election? This you can't mention to a president of Northern estraction or immigration that has ever been controlled by same North to correct.

The North fights and kills everything that would move the nation forward ( Quota System, PIB, State police, true federation , etc) in as much as it would benefit (only) them.

They actually planned ahead by creating more LGAs, States, etc, in The North to have voting ( decision ) advantage over South.

As we speak the South is still sleeping, except the East who really saw or anticipated what was coming early ( years ago )...

.

^^^Thank you Bros!

I'm having a little chuckle at all these peeps jumping at any opportunity to blame GEJ for the rut the Nigerian army is in, and for our inability to deal a decisive blow on these boko bastards! The dice is loaded against him from the onset, and all you enumerated above are just the 'known' and 'observable' obstacles in the way of a truly workable and dynamic nation......a lot of sabotage and bad-belle is going on behind the scenes and it owes a lot to ethnic and religious leanings!

The core muslim north have been happy to look the other way, or even encourage the influx of illegal immigrants from Niger, Chad and Mali (i'm sure this nonsense has been going on since the 60s)! They did this for the reasons you stated above; and decided to boost their unwieldy population even further by encouraging multiple births, marriages, and child brides......all with an eye on increased allocation from the center via returning mind-boggling census figures, and having a massive number of registered voters that could help swing any presidential election in their favor! This devilish policy has now come round full-circle to bite them real hard in the butt, and they blame just about anybody but themselves: from GEJ, to the 'nyamiris', to even poor Ihejirika, to christians, to aliens from planet mars, etc.......you couldn't make it up!

People need to look at bh from a different angle, but we have a weak president who fails to lead by example. Doesn't nigeria have a clandestine service similar to the CIA? Why we cannot infiltrate boko haram for intelligence is very surprising. What is the Nigerian secret services doing about boko haram for goodness sake? cry

If you see youtube videos of Cameron ion troops at the border and nigerian troops at the other side you will weep..seeing the gear it self ...I u r army were only wearing camos Cameroonian s were wearing bullet proof vest..RF G'S and gP s...

To add to your very pertinent post below are links to the Cameroon BIR engagement with Boko, may I add very succesfull engagement, the border runs through this town, the Nigerian section of the town is in complete control of Boko, who have not ben able to penetrate the Cameroons section of the town. Further on we see the Chinese CS/VP3 MRAP (not fit for purpose in my opinion) recently acquired by the NA abandoned by our troops why its simply IRRELEVANT and gives you us no offensive adavantage a waste of money.

Its no longer just hearsay and fictional good PR Cameroon has ensured that Boko have not been able to take one inch of thier territory Why

Little Cameroons whose total army does not exceed 20,000 soldiers has pushed back Boko when you consider their actual budget is nowhere near ours.

To make a conclusion on success, performance and or excellence there has to be a comparative unit of measurement to make that assessment upon. We keep saying our troops are trying, that’s not the issue, for instance Sunshine stars can try as much as they like even die but they will never beat Chelsea.

So is trying enough, clearly not. We are currently failing comprehensively in trying to contain forget about ending this devilish insurgency by boko. The question is WHY the answer its multi faceted but we need to face up to it. I could answer or proffer one constructively but not right here.

Meanwhile imagine the national disgrace
and utter shame if Chad’s soldiers come and liberate Baga for us Chei BIG SHAME.

Like I stated before, if Bokoharam is genuinely a radical Islam outfit part of Saudi Arabia/Qatar sponsored revolution, they will eventually target Cameroon. However, if Bokoharam was a Western funded outfit, they will target Nigeria and concentrate on Nigeria. Any incursion into Cameroon, Chad and Niger will only be a smokescreen intended to fool Nigerians into viewing Bokoharam as the evolved group from that which Mohammed Yusuf lead before his death.

Right now, the way things are shaping, with Bokoharam mocking around in Cameroon, and attacking Nigeria endlessly, looks like the West is behind this or the West exploiting Saudi's sponsored radical Islam revolution which was meant to spread in the West Africa region. Cameroon couldn't cope with what Bokoharam is doing in Nigeria. It's not some fancy Cameroonian brilliance stopping suicide Bombing in Yaounde or other smaller towns, buses or shopping centers. Mind, you, thank god that they're not committing atrocities in Cameroon cities. But France is likely providing the Cameroon forces with intelligence and, acting as double agent, probably providing Bokoharam with intelligence. They will do this through aerial reconnaissance, satellite as well as have agent on the ground advising Bokoharam leadership. These men will be expendable. They, foreign powers, will sacrifice people on both sides just to seem judicious and obfuscate the reckoning of it by Nigerians and impartial world observers.

What we want as Nigerians is to be mindful of the West and the Mile-Easterners. Even if you don't believe that there are any external forces behind this, we should prepare as if there is one. Informed by history, this would mean preparing for the West using Bokoharam as an excuse to forcefully act inside Nigeria. Chad heading for Cameroon is likely at the behest of France and now America joining them. They monitor our responses and maneuver accordingly. But the upshot is that as Bokoharm attacks our sovereignty in this opening salvo they external powers will act in a much more concerted way that undermine our sovereignty. True or not the best we can do is prepare for such eventualities. The best way to do this is rule none of the plausible eventualities out, which mean military preparation.

In this relative war situation, Nigerian civilians can play their part by supporting their army hirachy and accepting what they say above that of foreigners even if you don't believe deep in your heart. If you are Nigerian ,play your part by supporting your nation and your people of Nigeria. Those that are not Nigerians will always praise the foreigners above you but if you say nothing or actively and positively support your nation, the debilitating effects of their Negative comments and observations will at least be less effective for you'll not add to their noise.

On the this thread:- CNN False Reporting About Nigeria Again (photos)
https://www.nairaland.com/2092844/cnn-false-reporting-nigeria-again/5#29801865

I stated:

You may not believe, but Bokoharams needs Western intervention more than Nigerians do. They are going to loose and they know it so they will do everything they can to get the involvement of the West.

Perhaps this is what's happening by proxy. If so, then there will be incursions into Nigeria in pretext of wanting to curb Bokoharam at its fictitious source from destabelising Cameroon, a French puppet. The consequences of this could be dire. On the other hand, If Bokoharam is sponsored by the Arabs, then it could be that Bokoharam is doomed, perhaps the sponsors are abandoning them and the West have got wind of this. The objective would then be to prevent Nigeria form finishing Bokoharam on her own and then boasting about it in future.

Important actors:

What would a Victorious and resurgent Nigeria Military mean for United States Africa Command ?
What message was Obama sending to Nigeria when he visited Africa and skipped Nigeria?

If Bokoharam hierarchy works for the suspected Western Foreign power/s, their foot-soldiers wouldn't have a clue, they would believe in the cause for which they are fighting, ideological or booty. They wouldn't realize they are expendable pawns in a bigger game. This could explain the continued existence of Sheku. He would be secured somewhere in French Africa. The pawns would be the ones sent en mass as "Islamic terrorists" if they succeed in causing the requisite Nigerian implosion good but if they fail then plan B would be called.
