Height of a plantain does not mean that its an improved variety or that it will produce a bigger bunch.
The height help in knowing the variety of that particular plantain.
Producing Bigger bunch boils down majorly to good management and experience

Sacelfarms:
Hello dear Compatriot, Greetings to my Listening Audience. I feel Honoured, blissful and delighted In this 21st century, the most
lucrative business (on a large scale)
after petroleum and IT/Telecoms it's Agricbusiness, the need to feed
and be fed dawns on many other
needs and in third world countries, it is a major struggle to make it
sustainable, anyone with a good
plan and little or huge amount of money. you are bound to succeed in the world of Agric business (from Pre- production, Production,
transportation, processing to Sales). Like I always say, Agric business is a
Goldmine with a surrounding mine
field, but its rewards supersedes its
risks in a 1:100 and that’s
investable by all standards. Agriculture is the new oil
boom and a foreseeable future
cannot be ignored. But the risks of agriculture (as do
any other sector) comes with
heavy lawsuits and expensive
quality control. Even from the
paperwork of obtaining lands for
agriculture to ordering machineries from abroad, human
rights, contracts and affiliation with
government and corporate bodies
etc the works of the 21st century
Lawyers go way beyond criminal
litigation and writing drafts. They are imbibed with skills to fit into
any sector and ministry in the
country. This is exciting especially
when both the ambitious hoes and
the cautious wig are one, either as
a company or as a couple. Take a time out to think about the
prospects?? At the end of the day, it's the job
of good barristers and farmers to
make we all and our investor
friends filthy rich.
PHILOSOPHY
The practice of Agriculture is as old as the creation, when God entrusted man the responsibility of caring for the beautiful and perfect Garden of Eden and all of nature. Man’s role as steward of the environment is still as binding today as ever. The challenge of food production to meet the needs of the ever increasing world population is indeed a daunting one. With increase in knowledge, giant strides have been taken from using primitive methods to hunt and gather food to the highly industrialized scientific and technological methods. In response to the call to stewardship and as a means of contributing to the development and growth of the human race, Sacel Farms Limited and it's Agric Business Extension is committed to the training and holistic development of young people as stewards of the environment and resources for the glory of God and the benefit of the human race.
BENEFITS AND INCOME FOR ONE ACRE
OF PLANTAIN FARM
In one acre of land thats Four Plots respectively, you can plant about 800 Plantain sucker swords with the
Planting spacing of 5ftby5ft and in
between them you can still plant other crops like Maize, but make so sure
that ,the crop do not hinders one another...
The income for one acre of plantain
is calculated by 800 divided 12
which is 66.6 dozen, let say 66 multiply by N10,000 equal to N660,000.00 is your
initial income.
we can do another simple calculation:
Now if you planted 1000 plantain suckers and you sell them at N1,000 per bunch at maturity, that is N1,000,000. After deducting expenses of about N250,000 From the Gross Income you have N750,000 and you must harvest every nine months. The 1000 plantain suckers you planted this season will multiply itself by six times next harvest.
Now imagine having a land with 12,000 plantain suckers planted on it. Can you see how lucrative it is? The worst case scenario is to sell at N750 per bunch and that will give you N9,000,000 if you plant 12,000 suckers annually. it is ideal that you have to acquire a large piece of land like an acre or more. As we also Sale/lease Out suitable soil for plantain farming here In Delta State that you can obtain at cheap Price.
Where and how do i have to market These plantain fruits? Yes you can both in Nigeria and abroad for serious profit?
To sell your Plantain produce in large
quantities determine how you want
it. Selling it in large tons like
loading it in a truck (One Load) will be more sterling. You can storm different markets like Zuba Market in Abuja or in your state for sales of your trailer load of your farm
produce (PLANTAIN ) but
all market has it Social committee that regulate the market price and it may not allow you as an individual to storm the market yourself and start selling. All you can do is to sell to
the market wholesaler committee. name the price you want to trade your farm produce and recieve your cash.
You can also
call market women directly to your
farm for sales. Because they buy per dozen, now for instance in Delta State. it is 12
bunchies for One Dozen at N10,200. While a Full trailer thats One Load from the Farm is 250 Dozen at N3,000,000.
For International Sales and Export you also market your produces on Www.Alibaba.com, www.tradekey.com, www.ec21.com to get your prospective worldwide Buyers. so you are sure of earning Dollars, Euro, Pounds and other Foreign Currencies from Plantain Farming.
So it's our Nature because
Agriculture is Life.

They often remove all the suckers on a mat, except for the one selected to replace the mother plant. Conventional planting materials require less inputs and can be planted immediately in the field, unlike the more fragile tissue- culture plantlets, which need to be hardened before planting. Tissue- culture plant lets also require appropriate management practices right after being transplanted to the field. to an empty land, it grows in all kinds of soil but best in a Clay -loamy soil
-Prepare the soil by decomposing it with decaying plants etc. this is to protect the suckers from the harsh sun that may dehydrate it

We also Have French Horn Hybrid Plantain Farming E-Book For 2015 season on Sales now get your copy fast!!! Question: Why must i buy this E-Book?
Answer: Plantain has risen tremendously in Nigeria in recent years because of the rapidly increasing urbanization and the great demand for easy and convenient foods by the non- farming urban populations. Besides being the staple for many people in more humid regions, Plantain is a delicacy and favored snack for people even in other ecologies. A growing industry, mainly plantain chips, is believed to be responsible for the high demand being experienced now in the country. The demand for plantain within the country is high, with supply struggling to meet demand. This has hampered the status of this crop as a foreign exchange earner. It has remains an important staple food, as well as the raw material for many products. It also serves as a source of revenue for many people and as raw material for industries producing value-added products in many parts of Nigeria. Plantain occupies a strategic role in rapid food production, being a perennial and hybrid Annual rooted crop with a short gestation period. The crop ranked third among starchy staples after cassava (Mahihot escultenta) and yam (Dioscorea spp.). It is a major source of carbohydrate for more than 190 million people. In Nigeria, all stages of the fruit (from immature to overripe) are used as a source of food in one form or the other. The immature fruits are peeled, sliced, dried and made into powder and consumed as ‘plantain fufu`.The mature fruits (ripe or unripe) areconsumed boiled, steamed, baked, pounded, roasted, or sliced and fried into chips. Overripe plantains are processed into beer or spiced with chili pepper, fried with palm oil and served as snacks (‘dodo-ikire’) Plantain is a very lucrative business, a bunch of plantain cost N1,000 some could be sold for higher price and can be sold to market women directly Now imaginehow much N1,000 multiplied by 1,000 plantain that is a whooping sum of N1,000, 000 but don’t forget, there were expenditures like renting of land, cleaning bushing payment of security. See manual for expenditures Plantain Plantain chips production is one the easiest business you can start in Nigeria if you want to generate quick cash right at home. The reasons why plantain production business is easy to setup is because plantain chips is a snacks widely eaten by all, the start up capital requirement is low, you don’t need to rent a shop and plantain is readily available in the country especially in the south/middle belt regions of Nigeria. Firstly, the economy will have to depend on agriculture for its survival as oil price drops.

Plantain is such a crop that can perpetuate itself for decades through suckers.
It saves you the stress, effort and money in starting cultivation of another crop after the end of the harvest season for the previous crop planted.

The farmland where Melon, cucumber, corn is cultivated this season will be needed to be retilled and reploughed the next season after the harvest of the crops increasing stress and efforts involved in production and also the cash involved.

The demand outweighs what farmers are producing.
150 suckers will be enough for 1 plot of land
you will have little profit but i will advise that you use the plot as experimental purpose to learn the rope of the business

You can't take the equation of water from agribusiness, water is essential.
In fact this is the best time to cultivate plantain because of series of factors which I will explain more on my plantain threads tomorrow.
You cannot do plantain business this season if you don't have irrigation on the farm or source of water. My advice is to do other crops that require less water to cultivate
Crop like watermelon will be extremely profitable for smart agro-preneurs

My Repy: The strategy is to dig well or borehole depending on your financiaI capacity for irrigation purpose
I will state some of the reasons why you should cultivate more this year.

1.You will have advantage of selling at a higher price as food prices will be on the high side this year as a result of low supply in the market.

2.This season is an opportunity to make more money from crop like watermelon as it requires low volume of water for cultivation

Intercrop your plantain with short term crop like watermelon.
