See this one. You mean you cannot tell a passenger train from a cargo train? You need to see passengers through windows to know which is which? Kai.... smiley Anyway, I don't blame you. It is all those years of not seeing trains in Naija until Jonathan came along that has made you a train illiterate.

Confirmed odes full here wella.

Those are not locomotives
Those are electric trains. You see those wires above the trains? they not only supply the power (fuel), they also send the signal of the location of the trains.
Diesel engines are only used mostly to move cargoes and rarely, humans to remote regions in those countries.
You are also likely to have a few steam engines plying tourist routes like the Swiss alps.

I see you were adding new pictures after i called you out. how is that IRISH/Italian/Estonia train a passenger train?. Please tell me. Posting locomotives of third world countries and rural Europe to support Jonathan is simply pathetic. The joke is on you

Please stop embarrassing yourself here. Those are trains that come up when you Google ''Locomotive trains in current use''.

Unless you know more than Google!!

There is nothing like trains of ''rural Europe''. Trains connect every part of territory, rural and urban. There is no demarcation and no ban on locomotives in ''urban Europe''. So stop fishing.

Meanwhile, in the same India....since 2002....underground, on ground, overhead

A serious government (current and previous) that knows what they are doing

" The DMRC opened its first corridor between Shahdara and Tis Hazari on the of 25th December, 2002. Subsequently, the first phase of construction worth 65 kilometres of Metro lines was finished two years and nine months ahead of schedule in 2005. Since then the DMRC has also completed the construction of another 125 kilometres of Metro corridors under the second phase in only four and a half years.

Presently, the Delhi Metro network consists of about 193 operational kilometres with 140 stations along with six more stations of the Airport Express Link. The network has now crossed the boundaries of Delhi to reach NOIDA and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh and Gurgaon in Haryana.

The Airport Express link between the Indira Gandhi International Airport and New Delhi has now propelled Delhi to the league of global cities which have high speed rail connectivity between the city and the airport.

The DMRC today has about 200 train sets of four, six and eight coaches. More than a hundred trains of six coach configuration and over 60 trains of eight coach configuration are currently operational.

The Delhi Metro has also contributed tremendously on the environment front by becoming the first ever railway project in the world to claim carbon credits for regenerative braking. DMRC has also been certified by the United Nations (UN) as the first Metro Rail and Rail based system in the world to get carbon Credits for reducing Green House gas emissions as it has helped to reduce pollution levels in the city by 6.3 lakh tons every year thus helping in reducing global warming. It has also set up a roof top solar power plant at the Dwarka Sector 21 Metro station which is producing 500 kWp power. Similar plants will also come up at more Metro stations, parking spaces as well as residential areas. All stations of the upcoming third phase of expansion will also be designed as green buildings.

In the third phase of Delhi Metro’s construction, the DMRC is in the process of building another 140 kilometres of Metro lines which will weave a web of Metro corridors along the city’s Ring Road besides connecting with many other localities. Metro services will also reach Faridabad and Bahadurgarh in Haryana for the first time.

Apart from providing Delhites with a comfortable public transport option, the Delhi Metro is also contributing significantly towards controlling pollution as well as reducing vehicular congestion on the roads. According to a study conducted by the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI), in the year 2011, Delhi Metro has helped in removing about 3.9 lakh vehicles from the streets of Delhi."

Though this is just one city in India, see the pace of work and progress recorded in less than four years of initial operation and still being sustained, including future plans... FYI, I HAVE been on those trains a couple of times on a 2013 trip to India and I can tell you that the standard (from type of coaches to ticketing to stations is the exact same you'll find in the most developed countries.

OP, Don't let me embarrass you further by posting costs of the entire project so far and comparing it with how much money we have been playing around with in Nigeria over the years. You come here to insult the sensibilities of the citizens of an oil producing nation that has earned billions of dollars in oil revenue in the last decade alone with pictures of locomotives (many of which are strictly/mostly used for cargo) implying that we should accept your GEJ trains and thank him for the pieces of crap, while he continues to ride in several private jets. The sooner you GEJ apostles realize how far behind Nigeria is, behind countries that were not up to our level only few decades ago, the better. And what is worse is while the rest of the world is beginning to fly, we are still crawling, almost backwards, and people like you are telling us to accept that crawling (since it is a form of "motion" in any direction) and continue in that state. NO!

Buhari/Osinbajo 2015. If they and their team also fail to perform, or perform unjustifiably below expectation like OBJ did and GEJ has, by God's grace, 2019, we will vote them out too and put another team there who is more equipped to do the job, even if they are in PDP, APGA, LP, AD, UNDP, GDM, NNPC, EFCC, ICPC, NYSC...you get the point.

Locomotive trains are all around everywhere in the world. Nigerians that support APC behave as if they are under a spell. When they see a plain fact they try to twist it or outrightly deny it.

Pathetic.

This change they're calling for is a wicked one.
What worries most about APC is that their leaders are so bitter and undemocratic that opposition will just die were they to be in power. But God and Nigerians shall forbid such.

Ireland, Switzerland, Italy, Sri Lanka are cargo, the rest are passengers trains. Nigeria Trains are better than a few of them there. We actually need cargo trains to take cements and inflammable cargo off the roads. I am sure GEJ will improve on our trains if he wins re-election, I am also sure Buhari will cancel train projects if he wins, just like he cancelled Lagos Metroline Train project when he was in power.

We have a simple choice to make on FailBuhari

A serious government (current and previous) that knows what they are doing

Though this is just one city in India, see the pace of work and progress recorded in less than four years

Meanwhile in Nigeria, the 'excellent' governor of the alternative Association of Pretending Crooks, APC has been struggling for the past 16 years, along with their National Leader- JagaBandit Ogbeni Ojuyobo- to do ordinary metro for Lagos city alone. Lagos is much smaller with fewer people than India's New Delhi.

The Lagos metro CONSTRUCTION was started 32 years ago by Jakande before daft Buhari cancelled it despite huge penalties for breach of contract. Worse still, the ethno-religious bigot who was the military DICTATOR back then slammed our Action governor in jail while leaving his corrupt tribesmen in comfortable house arrests shocked

Fashola made a lot of PROPAGANDA noise to inspect his aloku scrap trains in Toronto four years ago, in 2011, also.

This state governor LIED to us in January 2013 that five months later i.e. June 2013 we will be tweeting from inside those trains. Two years later- today- we have neither seen train nor our money. In short our IGR plus the allocation from Niger Delta oil that Fashola collects monthly on our behalf don enter Toronto bush embarassed embarassed

Let us even forget, for now, the very sad story of Amaechi's metro for Port-Harcourt that he commenced while in PDP but abandoned as soon as he became Driver General of their useless alternative party, APC!

It is crystal clear that even the best APC governments (past & current) have been very unserious since 1999 and do NOT know what they are doing for the masses who VOTE them into power every four years!
They have been big FRAUDULENT SCAMS shocked

How can any reasonable Nigerian want to reward such gross INCOMPETENCE and blatant FRAUD with promotion of their APC to the presidency if that voter is not afflicted with the Cow Cloned Brain Syndrome, CCBS

Anyone who supports and promotes any candidate from Fashola's APC party is the reason our governments-

- Federal exeutive
- Federal legislative i.e. senator and representative
- State executive i.e. governor
- State legislative i.e. House of Assembly
- LGA executive i.e. Chairman
