Open Letter to Mr. President. by kosovo(m): 7:47pm On Dec 20, 2008 |
Nigeria as it were, is blessed with abundant salubroius natural resourses but After sevral rule from various dubious leaders, the country has turned to hell, a country of doom with visons(eg vision 2010,2020) from leaders who have never dreamt. Then came a new leardership that claimed could bring the desired change Nigerians wanted, hopes and expectation were high. we all taught you knew the problem in thIS country and could fix it. but after 19 months in office, your confused state has become more obvious by the day. 2008 budget of N2.74 trilion was spent through out the year, and is suprising to know that no major project was commenced or complected. it is however disgracefull to know that you are so unpopular and insignigicant as this was confirmed during BBC ' have your say' on democracy day. majority of Africans did't even know who the leader of self acclaimed gaint of their continent was. you poised to be the follower of the rule of law, but your gimmicks were uncovered when you unconstitutionally shut down channels. and made Nigera look like a joke when you said you doN't support the Mugabe government, when you came in the same way as the former. your major work sir, has been going to treat malaria abroad, dissolving and creating bodies, sacking and appointnig people, bringing lukeman; 73 to manage the oil ministy, and making PROF.DORA, a pharmancist, the information minister, which futher strengthen my asssertions that you are confused beyound any resonable doubt! you have failed and failed and if you can't disassociate yourself from that same old discedited Nigerian political phylosophy of Godfatherism, then, Nigeria will remain in it's present doomed state; The nation will remain stagnant and keep drawing the whole world backward. Mr. president, those who seek to acheive things should show no mercy. - kautilya, (3rd centuary B.C) Now that Supreme court has given her verdict, there is no more excuse., |

Guyz. What you've all said is the bitter truth but the problem lies beyond our leadership. Even some of 'we' followers are corrupt. Imagine a situation whereby a primary 1 pupil is collecting bribe from his fellow pupil just to get a favour. Just imagine! We need to give it all it takes afterall corruption isn't a native of Nigeria(or Africa) neither is prosperity an indigene of Europe(and America)! |

You guys should stop blaming this guy in anyway. Blaming Yaradua for his sluggish snd stagnant government is like putting on a child an oversized shoes and as ask him to run faster. Its Obvious that Nigeria is beyond wht people like Yaradua can move foward. Am even suprised people talk about his promises b4 the election as if they dont know tht we have heard a lot of those promises for years which ended up yielding to more failure. |

Democracy works you throw them out office, that is why the opposition needs to be strong. By having a weak opposition these idiots as someone call them will still be in Office. If Ghana can throw out an incumbent goverment I dont see any reason why Nigeria cant. |

LEADERSHIP Nigeria challenges is still based on lack of leadership. when you have a leader who can lead his/her own family, he may then be able to lead his community with example before he can lead a whole nation. However, leaders come from followers, and the followers mirror exactly their leader because they produced the leader in the first place. A good leader must however have vision to lead and gently persuade the followers to change course by showing them that the old ways does not work and show them what a new way can bring. There is also problem with succession, and that is where OBJ failed notably. a good leader success is measured by his successor. Take TINUBU to FASHOLA in Lagos state. Whatever our opinion of Tinubu, he has put up a good successor and that alone bring forth is 'thought' for the good well beings of Lagosians, and Nigerian cosmopolitans living in that state. POLITICS Our politicians and political system is dubious. It is based on personalitites without clear cut policies, agenda and ideology. A party must be strictly and statutorily required to produce a manifesto or contract with the people. They must say exactly what they will do in terms of all areas of life, when they are going to do it and who may likely do it, and the costs including where the monies will come from. Too much talk leave room for ambiguity. YAR A'DULL main problem is that he is not fit for whatever reasons to be able to handle that office. They wrote 7 NO POINT AGENDA and VISIONLESS 2020 for him during the period before the last election campaign. He was put there just to be President and 'NOT TO LEAD'. He himself does not know what to do. |
