This is no surprise to me. INEC has been barred from disqualifying any candidate. It's only the political party or the courts that can do that. This was the verdict given by the Supreme Court in 2007. This is the same issue Buhari is facing. Buhari failed to submit copies of his WASC as requested by the law. INEC noticed his defect but went ahead to list him as a contestant since they've been barred from disqualifying candidates. It's now left for patriotic nigerians to take Buhari along other violators of the law to court and obtain the court verdict. The under-aged candidates will be disqualified by the courts. Buhari also will be disqualified by the courts unless he shows us his certificate. #BuhariShowYourCertificate 29 Likes 1 Share |

NairalandOP:This is the problem I have with you GEJ Supporters. Big time mediocres!!! You now acknowledge the Electoral Act because it favours your warped and myopic thinking? Don't you think Patriotic Nigerians should take to court Jonathan, his fellow thieves and all PDP State Governors (Imoke and co) who donated billions of naira at Jonathan's Election Fund Raising? The Electoral Act clearly states that anyone who donates above 1 million naira is susceptible to prosecution and might even face Jail Term and this same Electoral Act was violated in the presence of Mr President with reckless abandon. Three PDP State Governors were present donating Millions of Naira meanwhile their citizens spent the Yuletide season without Salaries. Febuary 14 should come quick so Nigerians can kick out 'cluelessness' and wickedness from power. 46 Likes 1 Share |

You can see the desperation of the youths to go into politics at the highest levels. For me and my household, any thing to dislodge that Otuoke born from power next month would suffice. Whether underage or overage, I don't mind... SAI APC |

every government anywhere in the world only performs their very best during the first team, this is to ensure they secure a second team in office and a name for themselves after completion of first team. This will not only guaranty the people trust but also massive support for the government for second team election, and even for him to enjoy as saying thank you for what you have done for us. The second team is the season of branding the image the government made for itself in first team struggle. As far as nigeria is concern for 2009 to 2015 that is 6 years, we can boldlicaly say this is the best of jonathan. if this is the best of jonathan and the pdp we do not want them again. What jonathan cannot do for 6years he Simply cannot do for another 4 years. its not by force, You must be selected by the people to selves them in a public office. bringing back jonathan will be the biggest mistake nigerians will ever make. And his second team will even be worst with what we are seeing. Jonathan has nothing new to offer and we have seen it all and his best. Watch his campaign tricks. He is attacking personal characters rather than what he has done for good 6 years. Let try someone else, look what jonathan has reduce nigeria to. Think very well before making decision this february 14 2 Likes |

Zuria: If that were the case.. unfortunately we know that youths are easy pickings for God-fathers unlike the adults who will later turn on their benefactors and try to do right.. youths are not that ambitious |

The Law should be amended and the age be further lowered, unfortunately, it is the older people that are in the National assembly that we are expecting to amend this law |
