Pls my GCKEY account has been locked, what do I do now. And another question, my agent cannot access the email he used in filling my form
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Newbiein2016: 2:51pm On Jul 19, 2023
C$185 for visa & biometrics

Your introduction letter (if any) from your workplace should be on your official letterhead.

However, others can be written without as they are not sponsored trips warranting use of official docs.

Please how much is biometric fee and writing sponsorship letter and cover letter , do I need to write that with my business letter head or I do it without it ?

Good day house

My passport request came was on May 06, 2023.

My agent sent me a copy of the passport mail request yesterday being 18th July 2023.

I have passed the expected one month time frame usually given for the submission of passport.

Please house, what can I do?

Should I apply for a new visitors visa and explained my reason for not submitting the passport earlier.

What are my chances now?

Please 🙏 help.

Reach out to vfs or ircc, u can claim u couldn’t access the mail for a long time. Don’t mention agent unless he’s a licensed one. It’s ntn serious, people still submit after 30days deadline.

Both - Introduction letter is part of employment docs showing your own your own business (people have the secretary sign it, search this forum for samples). Cover letter details your travel purpose, itinerary & other relevant details.

+ sponsorship letter for your children.

Hello House, @emmafe please i intend to apply for for both visit visa and permanent residence. is this safe? can i apply for VV first then later apply PR? or vice versa?. will be application be visible to VO?
i ask because, for VV i will claim my sole purpose is to visit and return but with PR application, it means i desire to relocate to Canada hence a contradiction. And is tourism purpose alone enough reason for visit visa application?

I think this is quite relative. The officer who checked me last Friday was black, and he looked at my passport so much so that my colleagues began to ask me if there was something hidden in the Nigerian passport which the guy wanted to find.
I think the POE experience one gets depends on the mood/instincts of the officer he/she runs into.
My next entry will be from Montreal, I hope I meet a jolly good fellow.
Toronto airport is notorious for unnecessary drama. I dunno why people are trying to downplay it. 9/10 persons with not so good experience passed through Toronto.

Create a new gckey account you’d see a page where you can link your old account. But you must have every details used in creating the blocked account. Including your UCI and application number.

These arbitrary numbers don't help in discussions and don't drive home any reasonable point.

For genuine travellers ( and others), you need to prep for possible questions and ensure you have the right documentation. Entry into any country is at the discretion of their border police so to reduce/eliminate the risk of rejection, PREP!

I've seen people on here asking about crazy scenarios e.g. getting a 4 month return flight booking on a '3 day conference travel purpose' and whilst I don't have the numbers on this, I can only believe that some of the harsher encounters people complain about is driven by historical abuse of the visas.

We need to push more accountability on fellow travellers especially around things we can control.

No matter how prepared you are. Pray you don’t meet a CBSA agent who is having a bad day. Or one racist A$&hole. Na Toronto be their headquarters. These I’ve learnt for countless videos/reviews I’ve seen. I’ll keep saying avoid Toronto if you can.

Good luck.

The choice is yours, but I will advice you get the visit visa, you might need it. I’ve seen student apply for visit visa just to stay in status pending the time der PGWP gets approve. I will advise you go for it o.
If I go for the visit visa, will it not override the SOWP? Someone said you can’t have 2 visas at the same time that once I submit passport for stamping, they will remove the SOWP. I need clarification anyway

Good day guys!

The attached screenshot came into my email. Passport was sent through UPS to VFS Lagos.

Since passport is ready for pick do I pick it up in Abuja or Lagos?

What is really going on in the screenshot?

Any one care to explain?

You’ve said it all. We just like to panic for ntn, if you’re clean, let them drill for hours you’ll still be fine. So instead of getting worried which POE is best, just do your assignment and be confident.

Watch the video again, it’s still about the traveler. Irrespective of the officer you met, if there’s sumtin fishy he/she will go deeper. I remember my POE experience, the last couple the officer attended to took few mins, I asked myself why this long interrogation bcox they were elderly ppl. This same officer only asked for my purpose of travel n wife’s study permit.

I understand they’re human and can be funny at times, but if you’re well prepared I see no reason to panic.
