Thought it right to find solace and nice advice here. Please nairalanders, how do I bring my fiancee from US to Nigeria to get married to me? Useful advice could be posted here or sent to adunga4u@yahoo.com. Much thanks. |

If he is ur fiance and he is for real why the question? I am assuming fiance should mean he has proposed to you and has given you ring and met ur peeps etc. If not, stop dulling yaself and ask him str8 up what he wants with you. Time they say, dont wait for anyone o! |

Simple, you go there. We thought of that but she's a bit skeptical about the whole thing, then she suggests coming down here. She has asked me to find out the processes that will bring her here and that's why I'm asking the house to help me out. She sounds real, and I'm dead real and serious. We have spoken on phone on so many occasions. |

Yes, many things sound/seem/feel real. Its a pity!! Gone are the good old days when people were given sound and real advice here at nairaland. Now, things have fallen apart, the forum bastardized and miscreants all over making mockery of people. How the hell do you know that this's not real? Do you know the extent we have gone? I don't blame anybody. |

Re: Sincere Advice Please! by luckyme9(f): 2:42pm On Jan 03, 2009 |
Dear poster, first of, your fiancé needs to get a passport, as most Americans don't have one. Then u need to send her an invitation letter just like any other embassy. Then she gets bank statements and pay stub together, get on the nigerian embassy website and apply for tourist visa. |

Anyone can write an invitation letter. It doesn't have to be formal or perfect. Include your name address and phone number, I mister lagbaja hereby invites mister tamedu for a couple of weeks visit to Nigeria. That's all you have to say. I forgot to tell you she will need some prove of immunization. Ask her to go to any travel clinic or local department of health for info. What city/state is she in if I may ask. |

Either travel down to Nigeria together if you are both in the US, or invite her to Nigeria if she is the one in the US. Take note! I heard Ikoyi registry is the only marriage registry recognized by the US embassy. |

What city/state is she in if I may ask. She's based in Houston, Texas. |
