So I decided to start something that has been lingering in my mind. Something with high octane action, real car chases and the coolest vehicles. I had an earlier thread like this but I decided to rework my plot. I hope this won't be a waste. Will be dropping the first update soon (School work things). Twale to you all.

PILOT
*******************************************

When Alani entered the Trust bank, he felt suddenly lost like a man lifted from the ground without any warning or explanation. The confidence and composure which he had on the way seemed to have deserted him. Maybe it was the fact that the metal scanners wouldn't let him pass that was making him so nervous. Or it was the strange cold shivers sent down his spine by the air condirioners when he finally got through; he could not tell. All he knew was that he suddenly felt empty, the way a young woman feels when her skirt falls in the middle of a busy street. A few unkind directions and he found his way through the crowd of teeming customers. There was no queue in front of the third counter counter meaning he wouldn't have to wait. The female cashier was sitting comfortably in a low chair. She had a zine in her hands and was obviously very pleased with with what she was reading.Regarding her age, Alani deduced that she would never see thirty again, but through the use of buckets of cosmetics she looked much younger. The early shrivelled skin around her eyes gave her away. Otherwise she could deceive a hasty man that she was eighteen.

She put the magazine on her knees and observed Alani as he approached her. Her eyes fell on the second hand shoes and saw them bulging with pressure from the inside, the big toes pressing as if they wanted some fresh air. Her eyes momentarily lingered on the two year old trousers which she labelled as the type that accurately measures the direction of the wind. The trousers had once been green but now, due to wear, they were half-green, half grey. She then observed the stained white shirt and wrinkled cloth around the neck which this guy took for his best tie. Her eyes narrowed as she watched the cheeks jutting through underfed flesh, the half hopeful, half confused face and the somewhat grey hair. As a reaction, she frowned and let out a sigh to indicate her disgust. She was bored, bored with these badly dressed school leavers who entered ecvery firm as if they were God Almighty! She did not have to be told that Alani was a school leaver. She knew

"What do you want, Mister?" She questioned rudely not knowing her views were about to be changed.

"Mister man, what do you want?" She questioned again before Adamu presented a document. She frowned heavily on gazing through it and began typing in the details into her nearby desktop. It was a slip for the removal of some safety deposit boxes, then she stabbed the final key.

Her eyes opened wide in shock and staring at the screen. The boxes contained over two thousand carats of uncut ruby. An amount which could equal USD$10,000,000. Enough money to make a righteous man commit sin. This was no longer a standard transaction.

"Congrats, Mr Jude Alani". Alani flustered on hearing his name, he was about to ask how she knew only to deduce that the cashier must have seen it somewhere. He smelled a dead rat.

He realised that the Cashier was trying to run him. To her, he was no longer jobless but a future billonaire. He smiled at himself and decided to play along, his trap had caught a shrew. They made small talk for a while.

"You want the treasure transported to the airport, what adventure are you in search of?" She asked with a bright smile on her face.

"Just business and pleasure" replied Alani only to hear her voice erupt in laughter.

"Ah, why are you looking for something in sokoto when you have it in your shokoto dress" She said. He didn't understand and then she explained.

"I can give you pleasure, more than you can ever imagine" She said in between whispers. looking into his eyes seductively before handing him a card, it had a phone number on it.

"Follow me" ordered the Cashier leading Alani up the stairs where they would finalise the withdrawal and logistics. Alani's mouth watered as she wriggled her butt for him. He was going to definitely give her a call. No! he would use her and dump her, this was a wise idea. Was she not the type that was kept aside after being enjoyed. But she was wiser, during their discussion, she had confirmed that Alani was taking the proverbial treasure chest to the airport. Score! It was now a simple matter of hijacking and stealing it.

"Just caught up a real money load and its coming your way, Don't forget my share of our deal"

She added a few other details and clicked send.

An armoured van made its way through the Obafemi Awolowo road with a security escort pickup hot on its tail with sirens - blue and red flashing. Motorists and pedestrians who failed to pave way for the onrushing convoy in time received a fare share of strikes from the whips of the security men. Insults and abuses being rained with reckless abandon were the only ways their victims could react. A lanky dude on nerd style glasses could see all this on this on his laptop after linking to a surveillance camera discreetly hidden in a red and white comm mast that stood out beside the highway. The convoy was fast approaching a four junction with traffic lights.

Rock me I rock you oh! Oya! I nor go runaway. Oya! Na me and you today. Oya!
The immortal lyrics to Sunny Neji's limelight hit single blared out from the speakers ofva mobile stereo. The young man continued to work on his laptop, squinting his glass covered eyes at the monitor and moving his head to the beat of music. He was in the passenger seat of a blue Nissan GT-R, his mouth seemed to be moving but he was not singing, rather he was answering the message on the earpiece sticking out of one of his ears.

His caller was a dark looking man behind the wheels of another blue GT-R. The GT-R's were about four in number inside an open warehouse. The dark looking man spoke with a commanding and querying voice. He was young but old enough to lead his own crew.

"Calm down, We can take care of the job" said the hacker only to be replied with hysteria. The leader was chuckling hard, this made the hacker angry. He was being underestimated.
"The van is protected by a security escort, how do you intend to take care of the job?" asked the leader followed by another banter of laughter. More voices from the other car joined in.

The hacker stared at the monitor to see the surveillance from his preinstalled camera. This would be tough but he wasn't going to back down.

"Have you read about the battle of thermopylae". The fun died down until the leader broke the silence.

"Who cares about that stuff, What's up with it?"

"In that battle, the king succeeding in defeating an army about hundred times bigger than his by funneling them into a narrow space called the hot gates where their numbers were useless. We are going to lure the kitten from mother cat and then seize it".

The leader couldn't help but think that the hacker was being smart. The hacker re-examined his plan. The four junction was in the shape of a cross with two cardinal points radiating off it. There was Allen avenue to the west and Oba Akran avenue to the east with the highway cutting through. The leader could get the idea as he saw everything through the onboard screen in his car.

A lowrider was refusing to pave way for the convoy. The Security escort overtook both the bullion van and the lowrider before running through the four junction. The lowrider didn't let the bullion van pass and would block its way whenever it was about to overtake. The traffic lights turned red before they could pass the four junction.

Gridlock time. The hacker executed, hitting a series of keys and in a sec the mosaic of traffic screens in the control center spirraled into darkness.
The workers can't believe it. They start hitting their keyboards trying to get the system up and running again but it's useless since the hacker controls the system now. A single mouse clicks loads the new algorithim into the conputer and all the traffic signals in Ikeja turn green simultaneously. Cars collide into each other forming a domino line of rear end crashes. A tricycle tumbling over. The traffic lights turn red simultaneously. Then all turn green. Then red again.

It's demolition derby time. Daisy chains of wrecks. Total traffic meltdown, the armoured van sepearated from its security escort. The van was solidly blocked ahead and behind.

"What the hell?" asked the driver to no one in particular.

"Opening up a space on Allen avenue" said the Hacker to the leader as his hands danced across the keyboard. Suddenly the driver saw a way out, a sudden opening on Allen avenue before making a turn into it.

"His taking it" added the hacker as he struck more keys.

"I now command you to turn left"

The armoured van comes to the next intersection. Every light is stuck on red except the left turn only signal which is green. No choice. The van takes it.

"Gentlemen, start your engines" ordered the leader with his men responding by starting their engines with souped up, throaty roars.

"Go!" The cars took to the road leaving the warehouse in a spray of gravel.
-

The trio of blue Nissan GT-R's caught up with the
van before coming out of their blurring speed.
The cars looked shiny and invincible with their
steel armored vinyl body. Their undercarriage
glowed green with neon and they all had the
trademark burning four round lamplights. Then
the cars began to overtake the van
systemically on both sides. Soon they had
formed an agressive formation around the truck
with the leader in front and the other two cars on
the left and right sides sandwiching the truck
driver in the centre like security aides guarding a
head of state.
The van driver thought everything was normal
until the roof of the leading car popped open and
a masked man armed with crossbow stuck his
body out, he was a hijacker. The driver
tried to swerve out of formation and knock out
the barricading car on the left side.
It was time to make use of the 1200 horsepower
the GT-R's carried. One of the cars on the side
tackled the van with enough force to send
it back into formation and with minimal damage
to the body. The masked man drew an arrow
fitted with a grappling hook and pulled it on the
bow before firing.
The grappling caught a part of the glass and a
yank on the arrow pulled it out. The driver couldn't help but gasp in disbelief, this was supposed to be an armoured bullion van, he was going to file a complaint but right now that would have to wait. The hole was big
enough for an adult to crawl through. The driver grabbed a baton from underneath his seat which he kept for dealing with touts,
nothing was crawling through that hole. The
Masked man leaped from the car's roof and
caught the hole with his hands. A heavy blow
from the baton left him hanging on one hand.
The driver raised the baton high up in a bid
to deliver the finishing blow when the car on the
left muscled up snd smashed into the truck. The
Impact was enough to send the driver crashing
back into his seat leaving enough time for the
Hijacker to climb in. The driver tried to retaliate
only to receive a stab from a green needle. He
began feeling dowsy and the last thing he
remebered was seeing the truck drive into the
distance like a mirage after he was pushed off
and then he blacked out.

-
Soon a crowd milled around the scene where the van driver had been tossed out. They were all gossiping and arguing about the cause of his dazeness as he couldn't speak. Some said he was dropped off by some kidnappers who thought he was a waste of time, others claimed he narrowly escaped some ritual killers. Except for a middle aged man whose eyes were quick enough to see that the cars accompanying the van didn't have plate numbers, he made a phone call.

"Mehn, Patrol just tough today, see as town dey hot" commented one of the police officers sitting on a bench at the back of a station wagon with visual warnings at the top as the vehicle pulled into a nearby precinct.

"Those bad boys think say them get weapon? See as I dey empty clip, I dey pump lead ..." added private Bisi before he was cutoff by the killing of the engine. About five men in black uniform - helmets, overused bulletproof vest, khaki trousers and combat boots humped off as soon as the vehicle came to a stop. They had finished their patrol and walked in one after the other with their captain, Sergeant Obaro leading the way and brandishing his standard issue AK 47 rifles. His gallant weapon had not disappoint him, neither did his boys despite the fact that they were all rookies and greenhorns. He was going to recommend Private Bisi for a promotion. But now, they were here to submit their artillery and go home for a well deserved rest.

The landline telephone began to beep hotly until it was picked up by the customer service officer on duty. It was a distress call. A crew of robbers had jusy perfomed Grand theft auto. Sergeant Obaro was filled in on the details and rallied his boys. They were not getting any rest soon.

A couple of Toyota Tacoma pickups with emergency lights got out of the station and took to the road. They drove for some time passing some houses, trees before parking across the road and mounting a road block. Everybody was on high alert. Bisi was already aiming down the asphalt with his shotgun. Then he spotted the bullion van rearing its flat head.

"How strong is this armored van" asked the leader through his earpiece with his huge arms gripping the steering perfectly. His reply was practical.

"There's only one way to find out" replied the hacker. An evil smirk appeared on his face as he felt turned on. The leader stepped on the gas taking the van to blazing speeds. The Policemen knew he wasn't going to stop and dived out of the way. Not Bisi, he aimed for the tires and fired only for the van to drift in a zig zag manner, dodging the shot. It was too late, when he dived. The van caught him in mid air before crushing through one of the Tacomas. Sergeant Obaro got up and ran to Bisi when the van was finally gone.

Bisi's body was completely battered and messed up. his face was damaged beyond recognition. It was a goring sight with bits of metal sticking out of his entrails. Hard tears enveloped Sergeant Obaro's eyes, a thick lump forming in his throat that he was unable to swallow.

"Noooooooo!" Sergeant Obaro shouted, it was a heart renting scream and could be heard miles away. There was fire on the mountain and the valley was going to burn.
Sergeant Obaro's heart burned with rage. This was somebody he knew from the academy as a prospect. He slapped the keys to one of the Tacoma's that survived the onslaught from another rookie. He started the engine and sped off.

The hacker heard a voice ordering them to surrender coming from a tumbler amidst a wailing siren. he peered into his mirror to see a Tacoma pickup coming in fast on full speed. The GT-R's scattered immediately into different directions. The GT-R carrying the hacker was now heavier and they deployed a decoy to max effect.

But Sergeant Obaro went after the van and was catching up fast. The world outside the windows was rushing past at lightspeed. Some bolts popped out of the roof while the side bumpers flailed off, the Tacoma was pulling apart but the Sergeant still charged on. Soon the two vehicles were racing neck to neck. Obaro threw a quick glance to the side and saw the leader's face -- relaxed except for a scar above his left eye, he wasn't even straining a muscle. The leader did the same to see Obaro -- his eyes were bloodshot and beads of sweat rolled down his forehead. Obaro rammed the Tacoma headlong into the van but the leader was not going down that easy. The van bumped back the Tacoma. Obaro decided to end this. The finishing line for them was up ahead in the form of a train crossing. The bell began ringing trying to warn of an approaching danger combined with the loud rumblings of a diesel engine behind a bullet train.

The van gunned ahead at the last possible moment. Slipping through the rail tracks and missing the metro train by nanometers.

Good use of quick reflexes and Obaro slammed deep on the brakes. The ABS kicked into action almost bringing the Tacoma to a halt with a part of it scraping against the fleeting snd shiny blue coaches. It was a long stretch but soon they were gone, the onrushing wind they carried leaving a cloud of dust. Obaro stepped down from the Tacoma before pulling a pistol out of his hip holder. The Bullion van was upside down and totalled on the other side. It seemed to have met its water loo when it supposedly lost control and crashed into a building.

Obaro walked up to it, his pistol was posed to handle any threat before he opened the door to its wreck. What Obaro saw made him suddenly weak.

"Sh1t" He cursed, the van was void and completely empty.

CHAPTER ONE

The Taxi driver tried to turn on the taxi but it wouldn't start. There was an auto shop nearby but he was afraid to go there. The mere size and organization of the place looking like a car factory made him shiver. The cars parked outside looked flashy and were the latest brands unlike his rickety. DANNY'S RIDE was emblazoned on the top of the magnificent building in red italics. Instead of embarrassing himself, he was going to find people who would help him push.

Danny knew that his workers were always obnoxious. They flaunted the fact that they worked here. He could see Chike trying to ask out a girl he was supposed to be helping. The other customers were busy getting delayed. Some kept themselves busy by gazing at the mystery girl. She had long black hair that danced in the wind. Her bust was small but perfect. Her waist thinned down to amplify the size of her butt. Overall she was seductive. The man behind her was busy trying to tap current. Danny knew he had to intervene.

"Chike what's up? You have been attending to this queue for ages, maybe you need some help" said Danny. Before Chike could protest, he pulled the girl away. She was a little taller than him. He had a jotter and pen in his hands so everything looked professional. He felt like knowing her a bit.

"What's your name, miss?" He asked pretending not to care.

"Don't you want to know the name of my car?" She said in reply. He feigned control and asked her for it.

"You should have asked for my car's problem first" She said making him foolish. No wonder Chike was having a hard time with her. He decided to admit what he was doing.

"Okay, I'm just checking you out. Has anyone told you that you look nice?"
She blushed before frowning to hide it. She elbowed him in the stomach.

"You are just like your workers, hitting on ladies. Follow me to my ride" She said sweetly. Danny followed her like a sheep led to the slaughterhouse.

"My name's Mia" She announced as soon as they reached the parking lot. Danny's jaw almost fell off at the sight in front of him.

"This is my Bugatti"

I don't know why you stopped, loving this
Re: Speed Kings- Nemesis by Shadowbean(m): 9:22pm On Apr 07, 2015
For some minutes Danny was stuck admiring the fastest car on the planet. He rubbed the invincible red shiny metal covering it softly to make sure he didn't leave a stain. The caps on its huge wheels were still spinning. An EB was etched into its chasis in form of a logo. The interior was covered in perfectly hand sewn leather, everything gave it a supercar look. If this kind of ride cruises your street and you don't smile like a clown then you've got no automobile soul.

"So what could be wrong with it?" asked Danny before popping the hood. He almost gasped for breath. The engine looked like something out of a spaceship. Four turbochargers and sixteen cylinders in layman's terms translated into a whole lot of speed. He was eager to know what sort of records he could break with this vehicle. Right now, Mia was waiting.

He produced a scanning device and took looks at the vehicle.

"The AI is having some systematic problems, that's all" said Danny.

"How do you know?" asked Mia. Danny waved the scanning device.

"So when can I get my car back"

Bugatti cars like this could only be repaired in places like Germany and Italy. It would be impossible for a roadside gig to even change its sport tyres. He knew this was a big risk, but somehow he had to take it.

"Maybe a week" said Danny before walking away only to be stopped by Mia.

"Let me make this clear. This is expensive stuff. I don't want to hear any kaput, blamo, tottaled and never to be driven again stories, see you in seven days" said Mia before walking out to flag down a taxi. It was the taxi driver, his rickety was moving now with the help of a few pushes.

Danny watched her enter before the cab spluttered on with the fast moving traffic. He smiled when he took another look at the car. He was going to do this, get all the help he could. She must come from a rich somewhere, a lot of money would be in it for them. It wasn't just the cash reward that made him happy. Here was a new car to take on a spin. He was going racing.

He walked back into the building before speaking with Chike.

"Hey man, get everybody you can. We've got work to do"

***

"So how did it go with the suspect?" asked the Taxi driver.

"He took the bait for sure. Gave me a week, enough time for us to find our grand theft auto gang" replied Mia.

The driver turned his head to flash a smile at Mia. It was Detective Obaro.
