Yes, I thank the Almighty God JEHOVAH for keeping us alive to see the New Year 2009.
I am really glad and grateful for being alive and well to welcome you to the New Year, but did you know that many relationships crashed when the Nigerian Stock Exchange crashed in 2008?
Many people lost their investments and many other lost their jobs and houses. But the irony of it all is the fact that most Nigerians were ignorant of the gravity of the financial crisis. Things are no longer rosy for those at Skye Bank and Spring Bank and the honeymoon is over for Zenith Bank.
Nigerian banks gave out huge loans to customers to buy major stocks and they lost millions of naira when the NSE crashed.
The loss cost many people their, investments, jobs and houses.
Those who invested in real estate are also in troubled waters.
The financial crisis was adverse to many relationships and they crashed.
Imagine a broker who lost his job before Christmas and his wedding plans have been suspended.
Guys are broke and their babes are clueless and do not even care.
