The All Progressives Congress Campaign Organisation (APCPCO), has said that President Goodluck Jonathan, by his own admission, has ceased to play his role as the Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian armed forces, on account of which he needs to urgently clarify his position under the constitution.
In a statement signed by the campaign’s director for media and publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, the APCCO said that Jonathan’s loss of control was quite evident in the media chat which the president hosted on Wednesday, February 11.
“President Jonathan claims that he had no idea about the plans to postpone the elections,” Malam Shehu said. “Who then gave the command to the service chiefs to write the letter to Jega considering that the NSA’s line of reporting is directly and exclusively to the President? Did they write it without clearance from the commander in chief?”
The statement further noted that the service chiefs, at the prompting of the National Security Adviser, made presentations to the Council of State.
“Who authorised them to make that presentation since the President claimed that he was not informed about the shift in the polls date, nay by extension the security issue that was raised by the security chiefs for the postponement of the polls?” Malam Shehu asked.
“Is the President telling the nation that the top brass of the military can act without his consent? If that is the case, what then is his constitutional responsibility as commander in chief?”
The APCCO noted that the situation is troubling for Nigeria and for our country’s democracy, where service chiefs could supposedly act independently of their commander-in-chief.

We all know GEJ lied..if not, why is it that the one person not complaining about the postponement of the elections is him. And he insists that he was not involved in the electoral commission’s decision. What a shame! but unlike his nightmare, GMB, he has not protested it either.

A C-in-C who claimed he was not consulted by the security chiefs before the security situation was used to arm-twist INEC to postpone the election is not fit to be the C-in-C.

Many of us Nigerians know that Jonathan is a pathetic liar. He is that bad that he doesn't even consider the implication of what he says before opening his mouth.

of cause he's just the Comedian-in-chief.

I really don't understand why he likes to admit his ignorance on air like we are going to pardon him for not knowing.

Jonathan is severely alienated, confused and manipulated by his handlers.
If you closely observe recent events, you'll realise that GEJ has lost control of his aides from top to bottom.

Nigerians are fed up with him. We want change.

It was an irresponsible claim, is either Jonathan is a liar or he has lost control of rule of his government.

Some persons like APC are just good at twisting words and sentences of the president. Anyway I'm not surprise, their minds have been skewed since 00 BC.

#GEJtill2019, who God has promoted, no man can demote.

This is the kind of asinine comment that makes it difficult to comprehend what the APC stands for.

Jonathan is the C-in-C and as such reserves some degree of latitude on how to chart the ship of the state.

You don't operate from your position as an opposition and from there obliquely covet the position of the C-in-C by making wild conjectures and prevarications.

I will do not know what this assertion by this manifestly misguided APC official was intended to achieve.

Jonathan is the C-in-C as such time rarely runs against him.

GEJ is a professional liar. A true son of the devil - who is the father of all liars.

The same way he lied that he was not involved in an agreement to just serve as a one term president.

The same way he and his service chiefs have been lying repeatedly about this Boko Haram insurgency.

The same way he went on Amanpour CNN to shamelessly lie and he was disgraced with the truth. Little wonder Christiane Amanpour called GEJ a failed president.

GEJ - The sincere son of the devil.
