He's a doctor. Doctors take some days off. What does he do during these days?
Does he have a side job?
Has he invited you to his workplace?

1. Maybe he doesn't want to be seen with you. He's sure no one can see the 2 of you together at night. If that's the case, you are a side chick or he has another lady that comes first in his life.

2. Some people are workaholics. So he's only thinking about work.

Mmm, he is a guy like me. My first girlfriend had this same complaint. I work very hard in the day (mostly indoors) and come out in the evening to relax with some friends or to sit alone and gaze at the stars. For months, we only saw at night. But she finally saw me on Christmas day after like 2 months. She came visiting in the day. Maybe, you should try visiting in the day. Call him first however. If he refuses severally, then, there has to be something about his face that he is hiding.
