And how is the situation you depicted there better than in Lagos where people depend on mai-ruwas because for 16 years the Thief'nuibu cabal that has ruled the state cannot provide something as basic as TAP water for everyone shocked

The traditional heads of Ndigbo in Lagos, led by Eze Ohazulike, on Monday, endorsed the candidacy of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Jimi Agbaje, for the governorship race in the state.

The endorsement was made known after a meeting of the traditional leaders at the Palace of Ohazulike.

Addressing newsmen on their deliberations, Ohazulike said the group took the decision after studying the manifestos of the various political parties vying for the election in the state.

“After exhaustively studying the manifesto and matters concerning our interests, we resolved that the interests of Ndigbo in Lagos would be better protected under a future Agbaje-led administration.
“Accordingly, we endorse him as the candidate of Ndigbo in the coming governorship elections on behalf of our subjects and Igbo people in the state,” he said.

Uwazulike also urged Igbo in Lagos to vote for Agbaje, saying he is the only candidate who has good plans for indigenes and non-indigenes in the state.

He described Agbaje as a man of character and integrity whom he believed would deliver his campaign promises.

He said so much has happened in the past 16 years in the state, which necessitates change.

The traditional leader also urged the Igbo people to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Some of the traditional leaders at the event included Eze John-Greg Ezebuadi, Eze Benjamin Eluii, Eze Ikem Agbasi, Eze Jonathan Ekwem and Eze Samuel Udol among others.

the igbos thinking JK would do them good should have a rethink. If PDP wins Lagos, expect the likes of Bode George, Kashamu, Ogunlewe, Obanikoro to be in charge(look through these names) who's igbo amongst them? Which of them isn't from a criminal background? Igbos should have a rethink.
[b]You spoke well my friend, but both candidates are both controlled by thieves and will be controlled by thieves(when any of them is been elected),i dont just like this country leadership at all,no matter how good you think a leader will be,when you check his sponsors you just weep.

36STATES:

Read this and shut up.

Imo state produces 6% of Nigerian’s 2.9 million barrels of oil per day. That is 174,000 bpd. When oil was $130, that amounted to $22.6 million per day and $8.3B a year. Today, oil is $50 that means Imo State is generating £8.7 million per day. That is $3.2B per year. Abia State produces even more, Anambra a little less. The whole of south south produce almost 75 of the remaining.
Now how much do all the Yoruba states contribute to the running of Nigeria? We in the east and south south are subsidizing both Hausas and Yorubas. You guys should be grateful for ones to those that are keeping you breathing.
You can’t change the facts on the ground by following Joseph Gobble’s mantra: repeat a lie as often as possible and people will begin to think it’s true. Those of you that hate Igbos and south south people will never see progress because nobody bites the hand that feeds him/her without inviting the anger of God upon him and the family.

Do you think Lagos lives on FG allocation like other states? How do u think Lagos cater for over 10million people? Do you know how many tribes go to primary schools paid for by the state? How many tribes go to subsidized hospitals in Lagos? Road millions of people use done by Lagos. With all the statistics you quoted, what have those states got to show like Lagos. Be wise friend and lets stop all this ehtnic bias that does more harm than good to us

lt would have been better for these leaders not to drag their people into lagos politics.
The igbo leaders should have remained neutral. if apc wins, they will know the true meaning of marginalization. many innocent traders in the various markets in lagos would bear the brunt.
i doubt if the apc people in lagos would take this endorsement lightly.

@topic,

Again, .....another fvk up by Ibos!

You do not endorse a party or a candidate without negotiating and getting something concrete in return for your commited support. What has Agbaje given you in exchange for your endorsement? Has he promised to make you deputy Governor, has he declared that you are now indigenes of the state,

This is 2015, not 1987....a politician's promise does not hold water, particularly in the case of a political novice such as Agbaje. He has zero experience and knowledge of political manuevers, meaning he will be at the mercy of political godfathers....none of which is Ibo!

I thought Ibos have a think tank group. What do they do, formulate policies on spare parts Shyyte!! undecided undecided

Please all traditional rulers should be told to never ever use the term subject, no human being is a subject to another human being! Thank you! As for their message, we need change and it will start from lagos, as we have to sweep our own houses before embarking on sweeping other people's houses!
