Vice President Arc. Mohammed Namadi Sambo has said the recent meeting of the All Progressives Congress(APC) Presidential candidate General Muhammadu Buhari with the Christian religion leaders from the north east is a good precedent of peaceful co -existent and religious harmony. He stated this in his remark at a sensitization and mobilization of Islamic clerics on non violence 2015 elections held in Kaduna yesterday.

Sambo said the meeting was a clear demonstration that Nigerians must live together irrespective of their religion or ethnic background because God would have made all Nigerian Muslims or Christians if he so wishes.

“When the APC presidential candidate visited the Christians religion leaders from the north east, it showed every Nigerian that we should all live in peaceful coexistence. They even presented him with a Bible gift which he accepted, he never said he is a Muslim and shunned such meeting.

“This is a good omen for our country and General Buhari has set good precedent for our country. Religion should be devoid from politics and that is what the Goodluck Jonathan administration has been preaching since we assumed office.

“From our independence in 1960 it has always been a Muslim and Christain working together; Sir Tafawa Balewa worked with Azikwe and Shagari worked with Alex Ekuweme, Obasanjo worked with Atiku Abubakar and the Late Umaru Yar’ Adua worked with Goodluck Jonathan and today by Allah’s will I am his vice. All these show that Christians and Muslims in Nigeria are neighbours and nobody can separate them only Allah can turn the whole people to any particular religion if he so wishes them to be and nobody can question that.”He said.

Speaking on the forth coming election the Vice President said the nation cannot afford to have a repeat of what happened in 2011 hence there are needs for restrain from politicians and their followers.

Just wait till PDP's next campaign. This is the same Sambo that will use such visit against Buhari to score cheap and irrelevant political points. Saying. ..'cos buhari is mixing with christians , he is less Muslim. '

Is it not the same Sambo that blackmail Buhari with his visit to the redeem church in the south during the pdp campaign in the north? The man is indeed clueless and confused.

The same way Sambo cannot deceive all of us. He may have deieved you but we remember three weeks ago when he addressed an islamist meeting and told them that APC is a Christian party and shouldn't be voted for. So what are you talking about?
