What The Future Predict.. (A Love Story) by Nobody: 3:01am On Feb 22, 2015
When I was eight years old, my mom
told me not to love any guy, because
she already had my future husband in
her hands. I was only eight years old,
how was I supposed to know she was
telling the truth?
Samaar Ahmed lives her whole life not
loving or crushing on anyone. Not
because her mom told her not to, but
because she thinks it is useless. Love is
only a name, and if she ever felt a liking
for a small crush, she would dismiss
the idea of having feelings for that guy.
She was born in Canada with a Saudi
Arabian background. She didn't like
culture, but she did love Islam. When
she asks for clothes, she only asks for
abayas, skirts and hijab. When she
makes friends, she make good friends.
But when her family loses all their
money, where will they go?
Samaar has to change high schools and
move into her father's best friend's
house. What she doesn't know is that
her fiance and her are under the same
roof. And she refuses to believe she will
have to marry such a smart, weird, and
stiff guy who happens to be a year older
than her.
Re: What The Future Predict.. (A Love Story) by Nobody: 3:03am On Feb 22, 2015
Samaar isn't quiet. But she is smart and reliable.
She's blunt and honest, but not perfect. Although
she has leadership skills, she can't seem to be
organized. She has no sense of direction, and no
will what so ever. She could dominate the whole
school, not looking into a guy's eyes. She takes
Islam seriously, but she still laughs at the idea of
marriage. She doesn't hate men, but she doesn't
like them either.
"No, I won't. Never in my life." Samaar said. Her
mom laughed.
"Samaar, you're going to have to accept the truth.
You spend one third of your life growing, the
second third of you life raising children and the last
part is growing older and older till death does you
guys apart. Why do you hate marriage anyways?"
Samaar's older sister, Aakifah asked.
"Samaar, I want nice, fat, and plump little grand
children." Her mom replied.
".... Mom, you sound like you're going to eat
them. Stop it." Everyone laughed. Samaar had a
couple of reasons, and one of them was her dream
of independence. Not as a country, but as a
women. Everyone around her thinks men are
better leaders. What about the women? Just
because they had to lower their gazes didn't mean
they couldn't rule. Her mom told her over and
over, that women and men are equal, but they just
have different roles.
_________________________________________________________________
Samaar sat in her dad's best friend's house. She
was looking at the ground, and falling asleep. She
was tired and frustrated. Her father lost his job,
and now 2 months later they have no house. Her
father sat with his best friend, with his head in his
hands.
"So this is Samaar. She grew up to be very
beautiful. Masha'Allah." Her mom nodded. It was
eleven o'clock at night. Samaar was like a baby,
and it was past her bed time, which was nine
o'clock. Samaar couldn't keep her head up high
anymore, she dropped her head onto her sister's
shoulder. Aakifah nudged Samaar, but it was too
late. Samaar was fully asleep. Nothing could wake
her up, except an offered bed. "Samaar's really
tired. I think we should get her to a room."
Samaar's eyes opened. "Uh, no, uncle. It's okay. I
just dozed off... a little." Her uncle smiled, "No it's
not, you need your sleep. I feel so sorry that you
had to go threw all that. You're family and we can't
do anything to help. We could at least offer you a
home, right?" We're family? Oh, okay... Her dad
started arguing with her uncle. "You've done so
much for us! How could you say that? I honestly
don't think our family can unite with your family in
the future... We've lost every thing. We can't even
stand on our own feet anymore. I'd like to try
getting Samaar and Aakifah's education done, but
it's simply impossible... Samaar can't marry into
such a good family like yours. Please reconsider."
Her uncle looked over to Samaar who was already
asleep, with her head in Aakifah's lap. "We will
reconsider, but don't expect my answer to change,
Amir. I want our family to be united no matter
what. We made this promise since we were
children. I'm not letting her go. Sakeenah, show
them to their rooms." Samaar's aunt showed them
to her room.
Samaar's POV
I was walking up the stairs, where my aunt was
leading. She seemed really serious. She got us a
bunch of blankets. Me and Aakifah had a different
room, than my mom, dad, and baby sister. I was in
somebody else's house. In somebody else's bed.
How was I supposed to sleep? My eye were wide
open, and my sister asked me what's wrong.
"Nothing, but I thought I heard Daddy say
something weird. But it must have been my
imagination. I thought we weren't related to this
family. Why does Uncle treat us like family then?" I
asked. Aakifah was staring at me with a blank
stare. I literally heard crickets in the background.
"Uh, Aakifah?"
Someone knocked on our door. I got up, and
opened it. It was my mom and my stone aunt. My
mom and aunt closed the door behind us, and we
all sat down on the master bed. My aunt's mouth
started forming into a smile. "Samaar's beautiful.
Masha'Allah." She put my face in her hands. "I'm
going to have such a nice a pretty daughter-in-
law, right??" She was starting to get excited.
Wait... more importantly, WHAT'D SHE SAY?
My face turned red. My mom and my sister were
smiling. "I hope you and Sheath can get married
quickly..." UH. NO. NEVER. NO! "... And have
beautiful children." Ch-Children?? Ya Allah, HELP
ME! "May Allah grant my son, and future daughter-
in-law Jannah! They'll make the best husband and
wife!"
"Sakheena, don't put too much trust in her. She
still needs to learn a lot." My mom said smiling.
"Don't worry, as soon as they get engaged, I'll
teach her too!"
Astaghfirullah! What are they talking about?? Who
is this Sheath anyways??
My mouth didn't open, and I just forced a smile
on.

Re: What The Future Predict.. (A Love Story) by Nobody: 3:07am On Feb 22, 2015
Samaar slept until four o'clock in the morning. She
woke up, and stayed wide awake. She couldn't
sleep so comfortably at someone elses house. It
was impossible. Especially since she had a weird
'dream' about marriage, and having a fiance. But
she clearly knew it wasn't a dream. The only thing
she remembered about this family was that her
Uncle and Aunt had four children. Two of them
were already married and out of the house. The
youngest is probably in high school, right? Since
he was probably younger or older than me. But
there's also one in university. The two oldest
siblings were sisters... Ugh! What's going on??
Wait, I'm not the oldest... why isn't Aakifah getting
married?
Samaar's POV
I never wanted to get married. I know it's half my
deen, but it doesn't work for me... especially at
this age. Am I supposed to learn how to cook?
Clean?? How dreadful. I frowned in a small dark
room, next to my sister in bed. What about
Aakifah? Her only DREAM was marriage. She's in
grade twelve, and she's the most beautiful person I
know. I'm only in grade eleven and I'm the
clumsiest person on earth. I hate guys, and I hate
how they think. I hate it when they act ignorant,
and stupid. I wouldn't even want to talk to them. I
got out of bed, and stood up. I'm hungry.... at 4
o'clock in the morning. The bathroom was two
rooms away. What should I do? I don't usually
read Qur'an in the morning, but somehow it feels
like Ramadan. It feels fresh, and scary... It's
around the time of Ramadhan I start getting super
scared and aware of jinns. My sister told me they
only went after people who were conscious of
them. I was concious of them... a lot. But I always
read ayatul kursi.
I opened the door to our room, and went to the
bathroom. I closed the door behind me, and looked
up at the mirror. It was bright, the light was too
bright. I slashed water on my face, and looked into
the mirror again. I'm gonna betray myself if I
actually get married. So I won't. I smiled. Of
course I won't. I dislike guys, and my dad is the
only one who is acceptable. After I finished using
the bathroom, I walked back to my room, and
stayed up thinking, until the fajr adhan. At that
time the lights opened up in every hallway, and I
peeked out to see two full shining hallways. We
were on the second floor from the ground floor.
Three floors in total?? The house was huge.
Aakifah came from behind me, and pushed me to
the side.
"Hey!" I whispered to Aakifah. She rubbed her
eyes, "What?"
"You pushed me!" I said in a hushed tone. She
looked at me with dead eyes, "Sorry"
Aakifah wasn't really a morning person. She got
up, prayed fajr, and went back to sleep. But she
was a whole new person in the afternoon.
"Did you pray?" She asked.
"The adhan just went off. I was about to, but I
wanted to go after everyone already went to the
bathroom." I said, looking at her. She was
yawning. "Then I'll go after you, bye bye" She said,
closing her eyes, smiling, and waving, as she went
to the bed.
"Oh, no you don't." I said, grabbing her hand.
"Stay awake." Once she falls asleep, she never
wakes up again. "Samaar, I'll wake up. Don't
worry. I'm only gonna take 5 minutes more.."
"Aakifah, if you go back to sleep, don't blame me
for not waking you up..."
"B-But the bed's here are so comfortable." She
said with her eyes wide open.
"Aakifah! I'm not waking you up later on. You can
go before me." She sighed, and went ahead.
It was 8 o'clock in the morning and I was still
awake. I was reading a book the whole time. I
stretched and yawned, and heard a knock at my
door. I went to open the door, pulling Aakifah's
blanket over her face. You never know who's at the
door, and Aakifah would kill me if I let someone
laugh at her sleeping face. It was aunt, and I
smiled, when she did.
"Assalamualaykum, did you have a nice sleep?" I
smiled.
"Of course I did." I replied.
"Good, you can come down, and eat if you want.
Sheath already went to school, and his father and
your father went to work. Is Aakifah still sleeping?"
She asked. I nodded.
"But she'll wake up soon, so I'll bring her down
with me." I said.
"Don't worry about her, and just come down.
You're probably really hungry." She said, turning
around and expecting me to follow, and I did. My
stomach was growling. We were walking to the
dining table, when the front door opened abruptly.
It was a guy, sweating, while holding onto his
knees for dear life. He was wearing a grey hoodie,
with a jacket on top, and blue jeans. He had green
eyes and a messy hair-do....
"Mom, you forgot to give me my......." He stopped
mid way looking at me, as he was breathing
harshly.
"Oh, Sheath. Your lunch?? I'm sorry! I forgot. Let
me get it right now." Aunty said, leaving me and
him alone. Uhhhhhh..... Sheath? That name
sounds familiar... Ha..Ha..Haa. I'm gonna walk
away now. The awkwardest 10 seconds of my
life... I turned around to walk to the dining table,
but Aunty caught me by my arm.
"Oh, Samaar, let me introduce you to Sheath." She
said handing over the lunch to him. He froze,
looking at me, and so did I.
"Um, it's okay Aunty. He's probably late?" I
questioned.
"That could wait! Sheath, Samaar, say hello to your
new fiance..." His mouth dropped, and so did
mine. No, I knew, but I'm having a hard time
believing it. Yes, still. "Oh, Sheath you can go
now." She said with a smile. He kept staring at
me, with his mouth open, and I dropped my gaze.
This can't be happening.
He left, and I could cry of happiness. I don't ever
want to face him again.
After an hour, my mom, and my sister were awake.
My aunt was talking to me for a full hour, and she
taught me how to make pancakes. And after we
finished making pancakes, she said, "These are
Sheath's favorite breakfast. He'll never say no to
them even if you fight." She was smiling, and my
mouth twitched.
"Um, Aunty, when was our relationship...
determined?" I asked, feeling really awkward.
"Oh, your mom didn't tell you?" She asked, adding
some food colour to the pancakes. Rainbow
pancakes, I guess. She motioned for me to sit
down at the dining table in the kitchen. I did, and I
faced her.
"Well actually it was decided when you were born.
Your father and Sheath's father met after ten years,
and they were best friends. They loved each other
like brothers. So without me or your mom knowing
it, we already had Sheath's and your future
planned out. Your mom and me met for the first
time, and we were happy with it. Your mom used
to be so funny back then, and we were the same
age too, so it worked out fine. I told Sheath that
he shouldn't fall for any girl, because he already
had you. It's so cute to see you guys grown up."
My mom said the same thing.
I heard foot steps from behind me, and turned
around to see my mom with a tired face.
"Zeenath, I'm so sorry I couldn't help. Sarah was
up crying all night with a fever..." My mom said,
exhausted.
"It's no big deal! Come, sit and eat!" My aunt said.
"Oh! Samaar, you're awake?" My mom asked.
I nodded, "Since four in the morning. Where's
Sarah? You left her in the room? I'll go sleep with
her after I eat." My mom nodded.
"Oh right, we have to discuss your school." My
mom said, looking at me.

"Aakifah wants to finish off her last year in your
old school. But do you wanna change or go to a
different school?" My mom asked.
"Samaar, why don't you switch schools? You could
spend your two last years in this school. Hmm?"
My aunt said. I didn't want to leave my old school.
I wanted to go back to Yusra and Zeinab. But two
years is plenty to make new friends I guess.
"I'll change schools."

Samaar's POV
It was the 10th of September when I finally went
to school. Only a few days late, because my mom
wanted me to adjust to the house. And during
those last 5 days, I didn't see much of my so-
called fiance.
I looked out the window, and I was staring down at
the backyard. It was huge. There was a cherry
blossom tree at the corners of the backyard, and
roses planted next to each tree. Auntie said she
liked gardening. Their backyard was nice and
simple, but their front lawn wasn't really that cute.
Auntie said she didn't get time for that, so she
only finished the backyard. I was wearing a blue
summer skirt with a black top, a black jacket, and
a black hijab, with a turquoise necklace. It was my
first day of school, and I honestly don't know
what's next. Aakifah got to the door, and banged
on the wall.
"Samaar, hurry!" I looked back, and Aakifah was
already running down the stairs. I grabbed my dark
brown bag, and made my way down the stairs. I
was apparently going to the same school as
Sheath.
Everyone was already at the dining table. My dad,
Uncle, Auntie, my mom, and Aakifah. There was
someone else, but I didn't bother looking in their
direction. After a couple of minutes that person got
up, and said salaam to my dad, and both families. I
still didn't look up. But from the voice I already
knew who is was. It was him.
"Sheath, you don't have to walk today. Uncle's
going to your school too. He'll drop you and
Samaar off first, then he'll drop off Aakifah." Uncle
said. I looked up, and Sheath was nodding at
Uncle.
"Sheath, help Samaar out, and don't let her get
lost, okay?" Auntie said, smiling at me. I smiled
back.
"I'll be okay Auntie. Don't worry." I said as I
finished eating. I picked up my bag.
"Good! You guys look wonderful!" Auntie said
looking from Aakifah to me. "Come to the kitchen I
have to give you guys something. Sheath go wait
outside. They'll be there in two seconds."
Auntie took out two small packets of what looked
like jewellery. There were two broaches in her
hand. She unwrapped them both, and put it on
Aakifah first, then on me.
"There! Now you guys look even prettier!" She
kissed both of us on our foreheads and Aakifah
smiled, and hugged Auntie, and said thanks. I did
the same, and we left.
We got to our dad's car, and Sheath was already
sitting there with my dad. I didn't dare look at
him.
Soon after our long ride to school, me and him
both got off. My dad left, and Aakifah wished me
luck. and said salaam with my dad. My heart
started pounding suddenly. I hate change... Ugh.
I didn't realize Sheath was standing beside me. He
turned to me, and I squinted because the sun was
in my face. I turned away to look at the ground.
I looked up and saw him looking straight at me.
Without realizing it, I was looking him straight in
the eye. "Were you tricked by that marriage talk?"
He asked. He was expressionless. I kept staring at
him. Right now, I'm too busy envying his eyes to
care about whatever the heck he's saying. Green
eyes. I want them!
"Why?" I asked, surprised by my voice. I sounded
a little sad. Samaar... WHY WOULD YOU SOUND
SAD? You can't marry a GUY. They're filthy, nasty
and dirty! Just marry money. It'll keep you happy
and wealthy for the rest of your life!
"It's all fake." He replied. It's fake? Alhamdullillah! I
sighed in relief, looking away. He was freakishly
tall, and skinny, and he stood as straight as a
rock. He was wearing a black shirt, with black
skinny jeans, and a gray jacket.
Well that's done. I dislike guys... a lot. They get
on my nerves. At least he's doing all the work for
me. Besides it's not like I can fall in love with a...
brick.

"That is... if we can break it up." He said. I sharply
shifted my eyes from the ground to his face.
"Excuse me?" I blurted out. " I thought you said it
was fake." I said in the sharpest voice ever.
"Just think of it like that... I'll break it apart." He
said putting his hand over his head to block the
sunlight while he looked right at me. He stopped
for a second, and then said, "Do you wanna be the
bad guy? Or should I?" He asked in a heavy voice.
Is he starting to get sick or something? What's
wrong with his voice?
"The bad guy?" I asked. If I'm the bad guy, I'll be
the cool one right? Does that mean I have to get
on Aunty's bad side?
"Well, the first scenario could be you having a
boyfriend already, then my parents wouldn't even
think of getting us married off." He said. I was
already shaking my head.
"If you want me to commit suicide that bad, I will,
but not that way..."
He sighed. "Okay, what if I'm the one that has a
girlfriend?" I lifted my eyebrows. All cultures go
easy on guys though, right?
"What's that going to accomplish?" I asked.
"It'll accomplish a lot." A loud bell rang, and
Sheath looked back. "It's the first bell. I'm gonna
find you at... lunch." He said, inching away looking
behind me.
My shoulders grew heavy... Somebody was on
me, and I heard her voice clearly, as she said,
"Samaar, Samaar, Samaar. What happened to
lowering your gaze?" I turned to my right slowly,
narrowing my eyes and saw Yusra. She used to go
to Islamic School with me till grade nine.
"YUSRA?" I yelled, surprised. I saw Sheath leave at
the corner of my eyes. He was walking up the hill
to the entrance. I hugged her so tight, she gagged.
"I thought I was gonna die of loneliness! Yay yay
yay! Yusra's here!" She was still gagging.
"Samaar.... my neck..." I let go, and gave her my
puppy eyes.
"What classes are you in? Huh? Huh?" I asked
impatiently. She sighed.
"I told you to stop overdosing on sugar early in the
morning, didn't I?" She said looking at me with a
helpless expression. Yusra was my best friend and
my best sister.
"Wait... I didn't eat chocolate this morning
though..." At this moment all my energy drained
out. "I want some chocolate..." Yusra laughed, and
she asked me what classes I had, so I told her,
and she told me hers. We had three out of four
classes together surprisingly.
"By the way... Who was that guy you were talking
to you?" After smiling for so long, my mouth
twisted, and my shoulders drooped.
"Ugh. He's just some sadistic guy that's... Since
you're my best friend, and I've known you for over
seven years, I trust you, so I'll tell you. But... at
lunch!" I said, dragging her to school with me.
We surprisingly had three out of four classes
together. Except my first class was going to be
without her, but I wasn't scared
Besides, what's the worst that could happen?

Samaar walks into her
first period class, and
recognizes no one. She
went up to the history
teacher, and greeted
him. He smiled, and told
her to take a seat near
the door. It was the
second seat in the first
column. She sat down,
and felt a poke from
someone behind.
Samaar turned around
and saw a girl with
brown hair and hazel
eyes smile at her. She
was wearing contacts,
and Samaar smiled
back.
"Hey! You new??" The
girl asked with
excitement. Samaar
nodded. "Same here!"
She said.
"I'm Samaar. What
about you? Is the class
usually this noisy?"
Samaar asked trying to
make chit chat.
"My name's Alora and
who knows? The
teacher doesn't give a
shit anyways." She
looked like she was
African. Her brown hair
was straight and
pretty.
Samaar grinned. "Do you
like history?" Samaar
asked. Alora nodded.
"I love it. It's probably
the only subject I love
learning about. How
'bout you?" She asked.
"Same here. I love
learning about wars for
some reason. Don't
know why though." She
laughed, and so did
Samaar. Before they
knew it they spent the
half the period talking.
Alora was indeed
African, and she was
also an orphn who was
living with her aunt.
After their History class
ended, Alora and
Samaar parted. Before
leaving the class,
Samaar looked around
once again, searching
for someone. She
wasn't sure who she
was searching for. But
after leaving the class,
she realized she was
searching for Sheath
unconsciously.
Samaar's POV
What was I doing? Was
I actually searching for
that jerk? I probably
didn't have enough
sleep. No wonder my
mind's wondering
around.
I got to my second
period class and sat
next to Yusra. Yusra
saw me, and grinned.
We went to her locker
at lunch and sat down
next to it.
"Now. Tell me about
that sadisic prince of
yours." Yusra said,
stuffing a sandwich
into her mouth.
"Prince? What's so good
about him anyways? I
actually saw girls flirting
with him before second
period." I said. Yusra
was still chewing on her
food.
After a moment she
answered. "You
probably don't know,
but he's actually pretty
popular. He's nice, hot
and he's super smart."
At this point I was
eating the rice my mom
packed me, and I
chocked.
"H-Hot?" I asked, and
she nodded.
"You don't see it? And
he's super nice too. He
likes keeping his
distance though. Wow
Samaar, you really don't
know a thing about
that guy, and you're
interested in him. But
wait, I thought you
hated guys... what's up
with this crush of
yours?" Yusra asked.
I would have laughed if
I wasn't too busy
mentally stabbing
Sheath. Yusra just called
him my crush... my
crush... now that is
indeed hilarious.
"It's not a crush." I said
calmly. There was a
couple in front of us
making out. I turned
away, and looked Yusra
straight into her eyes.
"It's a marriage." I
whispered. Yusra stood
still, then broke out
laughing.
"Samaar, you look a
little pale, and you're
saying something with
that face. It's like you
have a disease or
something. Besides I
don't believe you." She
said, taking another bite
of her sandwich.
I sighed, and put my
hands on my forehead,
"It's not like that. I'm
actually pretty serious."
"Serious about what?"
She asked.
"He's my fiance."
"Yeah, right." I smacked
Yusra on her face.
"I told you I'm serious."
I said with a lazy
expression. Somehow
Yusra finally got it, and
swallowed her food.
Re: What The Future Predict.. (A Love Story) by Nobody: 2:21pm On Feb 22, 2015
"Samaar....
CONGRATULATIONS!"
She jumped me with a
hug. I almost died of
suffocation.
"Yusra, I thought you
were... praying... for my
happiness!" She was
hugging me to the
extent of taking my life.
"I am! May Allah grant
you all the happiness in
the world!"
"I dislike guys!"
"I know, and now I shall
help you love them!"
"You insane woman.
Just try doing that, and
you'll see someone dead
earlier than you expect."
I said, calmly.
"You and your death
threats... Jeez. So tell
me from the beginning."
She asked with genuine
happiness on her face.
I told her, and she
started frowning at the
end. "You guys both
want to break it off?" I
nodded.
"I'm sorry, but marriage
just isn't my thing.
Besides I don't want to
be forced into
something I oppose." I
said.
"Did you even tell your
parents that you don't
want to get married?" I
shook my head.
"How in the world am I
supposed to do that?"
Yusra pulled her gold
hijab forward, and
pushed her hair back
into her hijab.
"Well, you're right. It
isn't really easy.
Especially if his mom is
that nice to you." She
got up, and dusted her
yellow, gold skirt. She
was wearing a black
top that said, 'Make
Love, Not War' in silver.
She picked up her bag,
and told me to follow
her the the bathroom,
and I did.
After fixing her hijab,
she cursed at her silky
hair for popping out all
the time. Yusra was
pakistani, and she loved
learning about Islam.
She had her own world
of Korean dramas and
Japanese anime. She
even got me into it at
one point, and when I
get bored, I watch a
couple of Korean
dramas. They're classic,
and amazing. But once
people watch it, they
get too addicted to
stop.
She started telling me
about the school's MSA.
I didn't even know
what it was.
"It's a Muslim Student
Association." She said
putting her pin onto her
hijab. "Wanna take a
guess at who made it?"
I shook my head.
"As if I know every
single Muslim in this
school asides from you...
Wait YOU made it?"
Yusra turned to me and
laughed.
"I would have never
have come up with the
idea, you loser.... My
crush did." I raised my
right eyebrow.
"Excuse me, Mrs. Yusra
Sheikh. But who might
this lucky man be?" I
asked grinning.
"You wouldn't know.
Actually you would. He's
a loud guy. But then
again, you've only been
in this school for about
three hours." We left
the bathroom, and I
kept begging Yusra to
tell me his name.
"Tell me, tell me, tell
me! Yusra, that's so
unfair!" Yusra turned to
me smiling.
"Stop acting like a brat
Samaar. I'll show you
him... after you join the
MSA!" Yusra said.
I frowned, "You'r
blackmailing me? How
rude!" I scowled. My
scowl turned into a
smile. "Okay! I will!
Insha'Allah!"
I heard someone
laughing and knew the
voice was familiar. It
was Alora, and she saw
me, and waved. I
waved back. After
talking about Physics,
Yusra and me turned a
corner as we started
going towards my
locker. I spotted
Sheath, and so did
Yusra. Sheath was with
his friends. He was
laughing, when one of
the whispered
something to him. Then
the whole group
started nudging Sheath,
and teasing him. I
looked around him, and
saw a white girl with
brown hair walk past
them as she smiled at
Sheath. Sheath blushed,
and Yusra smirked.
I looked at her, "I
wonder if he still likes
her?" Yusra asked, as
we started walking
past them. Sheath liked
her? It's only expected
that no Muslim boy
would fall for a Muslim
girl. For some reason,
guys never have the
nerve to ask hijabis out,
and I've already had
proof of it.

They're all fobs deep
inside who want to try
to abandon their culture.
Yup.
But it's only obvious
guys would go after
beautiful girls. She
looked smart too.
I feel sorry for the girls
who have creeps after
them.
"Oh, so he likes he...r?" I
said, as someone
grabbed onto my arm. I
was facing Yusra, and
felt extremely
uncomfortable. It
wasn't a girl grabbing
my arm. Yusra was
alarmed, and I was
dumbfounded as I
turned to see Sheath. A
guy... is touching me. A
guy is touching me. Why
in the world is a guy
touching me?My left
fist clenched, and he let
go, realizing my
threatening aura.
"I need to talk to you."
He said. At the side I
saw Yusra judging
weather she should
leave to give us some
privacy or stay to
protect me from this
beast. In the end...
"Samaar, I'm gonna go
ahead to my locker. I
left my wallet in there.
And Sheath just try
missing tomorrow's
MSA meeting. I dare you
to try." She turned to
leave me and Sheath
along. That traitor.
"What?" I said, sternly,
while I turned to him.
For some reason I got
pissed off at him in the
last full minute. He
turned around looking
back at his group of
friends who hadn't
realized he left and then
turned back to me.
"We'll hold back
destroying our so-called
future relationship...
until later on." He said,
lowering his voice while
looking around. Is he
trying to hide our so-
called relationship?
"Why?" I said loud, and
sternly. He finally looked
straight into my eyes.
"Because I want to
spend my last year in
this school in peace." He
started coughing. From
this morning, he looked
like he needed a pillow
rather then education.
"What about me? You're
a year older then me.
After you're done
school, you can move
out and leave and
everything will be
solved. But I'd have to
wait another year to
get some peace." He
was looking down
straight into my eyes,
and I turned away.
Goodness, doesn't he
know how to lower his
gaze? My cheeks were
flushed.
I don't know how he
was looking at me, but
it felt weird.
"Okay, if that's how you
feel then. Why don't we
wait until our actual
marriage date is
brought up then?" His
tone changed, and he
was speaking more
quietly. I didn't dare look
at him.
"But... What if they get
us engaged?" I
whispered to myself. I
wasn't asking him that
question. I was asking
myself. But he
answered anyways.
"Don't sweat the small
stuff." He said, coughing
again. Oh. Okay.
"Hey!" Sheath
screamed. I looked up,
and saw a guy hugging
Sheath.
"Sheathy, you're
secretly talking to a girl
eh?" The guy said,
smiling at me. I stared
back, expressionless.
"Finally cheating on your
crush?" The guy asked,
with his eyes glued to
me. I turned to Sheath,
and he smacked the
guy on his head.
"Shut it, Josh." Sheath
said in a rough voice.
"Oww! Sheathy!" The
so-called Josh said. Josh
tried hugging Sheath
again, but Sheath
pushed him away again.
Josh scowls, and turns
to me, and he extends
his hand out to me, and
says, "I'm Josh! What
about you?" He asked,
excited.
Ugh.... Another guy. I am
not shaking his hand.
Nope. Never. No matter
how nice he is. I
continued staring at
him. He looked like a
puppy. He was about
the same hieght as
Sheath, and he had dark
brown hair, and brown
playful eyes. Josh
wiggled his arm in front
of me, and I was about
to lift my hand, but
Sheath already grabbed
Josh's shoulder, and
turned him around.
"Don't go touching other
people's girlfriends."
Sheath whispered to
him.
Was I not supposed to
hear that? What the hell
just.... happened?
"Meet me at the front
entrance after school,
okay?" Sheath said
from afar.
Sheath was still holding
onto Josh tight like a
dog on a leash. I put my
head down, and looked
straight at the ground.
What the hell is that
supposed to mean?
I heard Josh's voice in
the distance, "Hey!" He
said looking straight at
me and waving. "You
look gorgeous!" He was
at the end of the hall
already, and the hallway
was pretty empty. I
turned around, and tried
to fan the heat from
my face away.
Stupid Sheath.

ATTENTION ALL
READERS: Salaam! I
haven't touched my
work yet... because I
realized people actually
like his character. Well
originally, Sheath was
supposed to be a cold
hearted person but
honestly it takes a lot
of time for me to build
onto that type of
character... especially
since I suck at thinking
about good plots -_-- So
instead I'm sticking
with the shy, nice,
smart, but offensive
Sheath. Yeah he doesn't
stay good all the way!
hehehee... I was joking. I
write my stories with a
weird flow, so even I
don't know what
happens next! ^.^ Okay,
enough of me talking!
WAIT! I shall warn each
and every single one of
you -I DISLIKE EDITING
MY WORK- I'm sorry sad
Samaar's pov
I can't find it.... Where
did I put it? WHERE THE
HELL IS MY ERASER?
I sat their concentrating
with all my heart on my
math homework, but
my eraser runs away.
Really Eraser, really? I
was sitting in the living
room on the dining
table. Aunty and Uncle
were gone out to dinner
with my parents. My
little sister, Sarah, was
with my parents too. If
she was left here with
us, she'd be crying
every second until mom
came back. My head
was hurting like crazy
because for the first
time in my life... I
opened a book. It was
only Sheath, Aakifah
and me in the house.
A book? More like bad
luck.
I wanted to start off
grade eleven as the
best year of my life. I
was dedicated, and full
of energy. But was I
going to do good this
year? Nope. I have this
dedication and energy
every September, but in
the end it disappears by
October.
Aakifah was upstairs
taking a bath. And
Sheath was... doing
some..thing. Wait I'm
not his wife or anything.
Why the hell would I
care what he does??
It's only been a full
week since school
started. And tomorrow,
Monday, is supposed to
be the day I get to walk
into an MSA. I wonder
what an MSA is like. Our
old school never even
had a Muslim Student
Association. It had a
Christan and Jew
Student Association.
But I guess it made
sense, since there were
absolutely no Muslims in
that school except me,
and a couple of other
girls, and also my best
friends. Aakifah was
shy so she only hung
out with her friends.
But I was different, I'd
go from table to table,
and talk my head off. It
was truly my one and
only flaw. My mom was
actually worried about
me being a little too
social. 'What if you start
talking to bad influence
and you don't even
realize it??' That's what
my mom said, but
honestly I'm not that
dumb. I know my limits.
But this year will be
different, Insha'Allah. I'll
do everything in my
power not to cause any
trouble.
I heard footsteps
coming down the stairs.
There was thunder
outside too. Ha! I'm not
afraid of thunder.... but I
am extremely scared of
Jins.... To a certain
extent.
I got up, and walked to
the fridge which was
the room right beside
the dining room and
saw... Sheath. He was
wiping his face with a
towel and his hair was
leaking wet. I was a
little too cautious of
him because of all the
manga and anime I've
been watching and
reading. But then again...
manga's and anime's
are full of
exaggerations. Just
what the hell was I
thinking. Samaar think
straight. All I wanted
was my beautiful and
most delicious pudding.
Why must you be here,
Sheath? Why? I was
probably glaring at him,
because the next thing
I knew, he was staring
right at me with an
expressionless face. I
relaxed my scrunched
up face, and grabbed a
fudge pudding out of
the fridge. Yeah, that's
right. Not even Sheath
can separate me and
my pudding.
I pray for the person
who invented pudding.
it's the cure to all my
problems, especially
marriage. Well, it's not
like me and Sheath are
being forced. We still
have a choice... but we
don't really know how
to choose...
Sheath was still
standing there, when
he finally grabbed a
cooled water bottle
from the fridge, and
started walking away.
The doorbell rang. It
can't be our parents,
they just left half an
hour ago. I was walking
without noticing it, and
my arms extended out
to open the door.
Sheath didn't move
from his spot. He was
still standing there. The
door opened, and a guy
with a layered cut and
ear piercings was
standing right in front
of me. He was drenched
wet, and by the time he
pushed himself past me
while grinning, Aakifah
came running
downstairs.

"Samaar, did mom come
back yet?" Aakifah
asked. She stopped,
looking from me to
Sheath to the guy who
walked in on his own.
"Subhee..." Aakifah said
slowly and quietly. Wait,
who?
"Subhee... What are you
doing home this early?"
Sheath asked.
"Which one is your wife,
little bro?" Little bro? Is
he... the brother who's
supposed to be
studying in America?
Wait... WHAT'S WRONG
WITH CANADA? How
dare you abandon your
own country! Boys...
suck no matter what.
"My what?" Sheath
asked, raising his
eyebrows.
"Your wife." This
Subhee guy was already
sitting down in the
guest room. I closed the
door behind me, and
noticed who Subhee
was staring at. It
wasn't Sheath. It
wasn't me, but it was
Aakifah. Did those two
know each other? He
was smiling at Aakifah.
Not grinning, but smiling.
Aakifah returned the
favour with a disgusted
look. She turned around,
and started walking
away.
"I'm not married yet."
Sheath said confidently.
"You will be.. right after
you graduate from high
school." His older
brother replied back. A
year later? "At the
most, you'll probably be
engaged.. I guess."
Ugh. My memory is too
foggy. I don't remember
meeting him or Sheath
when I was a kid. How
does Aakifah
remember?
"You still love your
pudding, don't you
Samaar." I was still
holding onto my beloved
cup of pudding.
"Yes! Of cour.... Wait.
How do you know
that?" I asked him. He
had three peircings on
each ear, and dark
brown hair covering his
eyes. He was wearing
baggy wet clothes. Was
he really Sheath's
brother?
"So... Why did you come
home? Weren't you in
America? Studying?"
Sheath questioned.
Subhee rested his head
on the couch and closed
his eyes and sighed.
"The only food I got
was cupped noodles
and junk food. You think
I'd let it happen for my
second year in
universary?"
"That's the reason you
came back? Food??"
Sheath said in disbelief.
I looked at Sheath, and
saw him looking at his
older brother with
worry.
At this moment I
realized something.
Two guys. One girl.
Haraam. Ugh. I don't
wanna go to hell
because of creatures
such as guys. It's a
disgrace to me and my
pudding.
I left the room,
grabbing a spoon from
the kitchen and my
books from the table. I
didn't have a third hand
to carry my bag. I'll
come back down for it
later. All of a sudden,
Sheath was beside the
table. He motioned for
me to hand him my bag.
"I'll carry it for you." He
said. His brother was
already walking up the
stairs.
"O..kay." I said. My bag
was filled with
textbooks. I didn't
receive my locker yet.
Yusra's class was all
the way at the other
side of school. I
wouldn't really have
enough time to get to
class early if walking to
her locker took me at
least three minutes.
The next day
It was lunch time, and I
was already at the MSA
meeting room.
The president.. was not
there. So the vice
president had to take
over. It was a nice
meeting. People were
talking, and planning.
They were talking
about the year end field
trip. They had to raise
up a lot of money, and
do fundraisers too. At
least that's what Yusra
told me at the end of
the meeting. Sheath
was there with Josh.
They were sitting at
the front. They were
laughing like a pair of
idiots.
Re: What The Future Predict.. (A Love Story) by Nobody: 8:53pm On Feb 24, 2015
After school, I started
walking home on my
own. That was one of
the requirements. We
could be dropped off at
school, but we had to
walk home after school.
My dad didn't agree
with my mom. He told
my mom I'm a girl. And
my mom assured him
I'd be fine. Since my dad
started working again,
his hours weren't really
that flexible. Neither
were Uncle's hours. So it
was fine. Sheath would
usually come late,
because he always
walked home with Josh,
who happened to live
right across the street
from us. Our school was
a nice long thirty minute
walk from home.
"Samaar!" I turned
around and saw Sheath
running towards me. I
stopped, and he caught
up.
"What happened to
Josh?" I asked sternly. I
obviously saw myself
as being the most
angriest girl on earth
when I was with guys.
I just didn't like them...
at all! Ever since I was
eight years old.
"Well today I had to
ditch him because of
that family dinner we're
having, remember?"
That was today?? I
thought it was on
Friday! Wait.. today is
Friday. He was out of
breath, but recovered
quickly.
That means we have
to clean the house till
there's nothing left. It
was funny how I
became immune to
cleaning in that house. I
felt guilty staying there
for free, so I used to
help Auntie and mom
with food and cleaning.
While I was in my own
thoughts, Sheath was
quiet.
"Hey.. " He said.
"What?" I said, realizing
my girlie tone. Uh-Oh. He
obviously didn't notice
or care.
"You really love glaring,
don't you?"
"Why would you say
that?"
"Cuz that's all you do."
I grinned. "Well
obviously. I hate
smiling."
"It's sunnah."
"I know. I don't need a
guy to tell me that." He
faced me and laughed.
"So you glare cuz you
hate guys."
"Extremely." He started
laughing again. "What?
Can't a girl live with her
own hatred??"
He didn't ask why, and I
was glad. Because I
didn't really know how
to explain it.
"You hating guys is kind
of pointless though..."
He said, looking at the
ground. I looked up a
him.
"Excuse me?"
"For the next part of
your life, you'll need one,
won't you?"
"For what?"
"For everything."
"I don't believe so. If it's
about money, I can
work. If it's about
children, I can adopt
them. If it's about life,
I've got one."
"If it's about love?"
"Then I'll love myself
twice as much."
"You narcissist."
"Repeat it one more
time, and I'll smack you
across the face." I said
sternly.
He laughed, and said "No
thanks." He was looking
down again.
"And let me guess, you
joined the MSA because
Yusra asked you to?" He
asked.
"Even if she didn't tell
me... If I knew public
schools had MSA's I'd be
the happiest girl on
earth."
"I joined it cuz the prez
told me to."
"Who exactly is the
president?" I asked.
Re: What The Future Predict.. (A Love Story) by Nobody: 9:04pm On Feb 24, 2015
"Omar."
"Oh." I still don't know
him. He's not in any of
my classes.
"Grade twelve." Sheath
said, reading my mind.
I guess it wasn't that
bad... talking to a guy...
suspicious. It was as
hot as hell and we
finally got home some
time later.
"Assalamualykum." I
said entering the house
with Sheath.
"Walaykumassalaam."
My aunt and mom said
in harmony.
They were cooking in
the kitchen as they
peeked out and saw me
and Sheath.
"Oh, you guys came
together?" My mom
asked,
"Sort of." Sheath said.
"Aunty, you look really
nice today." He said to
my mom, smiling. My
mom was wearing new
clothes. They were
royal blue with silver
linings.
"Jazak'Allah, Sheath!
Aww, your son is so
cute." Sheath gave a
little kid-ish smile. Okay,
I can't lie.. It was sort
of cute. But I still glared
at him.
He saw me glaring and
grinned at me. Is he
trying to get me angry?
Cuz it's working.
The things I have to
deal with in this house...
I sighed.
...I still don't get that
Subhee guy.

Subhee was walking
around the house,
looking for something
to do. He was no longer
wearing his piercings
and his hair was cut a
little shorter and
smarter. Samaar and
Aakifah were dressing
Sarah up. Even after
crying a whole bucket
of tears, they couldn't
get Sarah to keep quiet.
Sheath's mom knocked
on the door and came in.
"Do you guys need
some help with Sarah?"
Sheath's mom asked.
Samaar nodded, and
Aakifah handed Sarah
to Sheath's mom.
Sarah instantly became
quiet and soon she was
asleep in the living room
in Samaar's lap. Samaar
kept watch of her, and
looked out of the corner
of her eyes to find
Subhee straightened up.
She was shocked. But
that wasn't it, he was
talking to Aakifah in the
hallway. What are they
talking about? Samaar
thought.
Samaar's POV
Well I guess I should
ask Aakifah some day. I
lifted Sarah up, and
took her into my arms.
I'll put her asleep
upstairs. I was almost
to the stairs when I ran
into Sheath. I backed
away from Sheath with
my eyes directly on
Sarah. Please don't tell
me she's awake....
Please don't tell me
she's awake!
And that's when it
happened her startled
fragile little body awoke
and she cried like no
tomorrow. I stood their
tired, and decided I
wouldn't even try
putting her back to
sleep.
My task was to handle
a small baby... a SMALL
baby, and I couldn't
even handle her. I
looked up at Sheath. He
was a little startled as
he hesitantly took
reached for Sarah.
"Sorry..." He whispered.
He took Sarah, and
started walking up the
stair. She cried and cried
as I followed him.
Sheath and me entered
my parents room
where Sarah slept with
them. There were a
bunch of stuffed
animals laying around.
She was only about a
few months, but she
had a billion toys.
"Sarah, mom loves you
so much she brought
you a billion toys but all
you ever do is cry." My
parents never brought
me and Aakifah any
toys because they
were very stingy I
guess.
"She doesn't even know
what goes on, you can't
blame her." Sheath said,
lying her down on her
blanket on the ground.
He sat down right next
to her, and I sat down
on the bed. She was still
crying.
"Yeah I know. She can't
even get used to her
own two older sisters,
but she can get used to
your mom in a second.
That's so unfair. I'll
never ever have kids!" I
shuddered and realized
what I said to Sheath.
What the hell?
"That's cuz you're
acting like a kid.
Obviously you think like
that."
"Excuse me!" I said with
an attitude and turned
to Sarah. Sheath got up
and found Sarah's
pacifier. He went to the
bathroom and washed
it. He came back out,
and it almost seemed
as if Sarah snatched
the pacifier from
Sheath. Sheath laughed
and Sarah was closing
her eyes again. "Hey...
did our family ever
meet when we were
young?" I asked Sheath.
He didn't turn to me and
kept his focus on Sarah.
"Yeah.. A lot." He
answered quietly. "You
don't remember?" He
asked.
"Nope." I answered
"I was nine years old
back then and our
families went to a
