i thought part of the 2006 ceasefire is to station UN at the borders. What are the Un peace keepers doing and what happened to the ceasefire between lebanon and Israel. Who broke the terms of this ceasefire now!

Israel was attacked by "militants" and not the Lebanese Army! Can you make the distinction?

Moreover, just because you're attacked by someone of a particular nationality, does not mean you must attack their country!

Pakistani militants killed over a hundred in Mumbai, India. Has India attacked Pakistan? Apartheid Israel's kindergarten-driven foreign policy, after such an attack (173 dead, 308 injured), would have dictated that Pakistan be bombed! But India's foreign policy (much better than belligerent Israel's) applied common sense diplomacy and realized the consequences of fighting a nuclear-armed neighbor!

Even Israel's provider, the US (with her toddler-driven foreign policy), would not just attack a country mainly based on the fact that those who carried out the attack are from the said country.

Since the beginning of this recent conflict the US has held the UN to ransom. (1)The US has repeatedly said it would veto any resolution blaming Israel for disproportionate use of force. Militants from Pakistan attacked India and the two countries are not currently at war. The moral of the above is, strive to get nuclear weapon, but where would that lead mankind?  Should the Palestinian be given nukes? I mean that would neutralize Israels dominance over its neighbours and end the constant wars between them. Its not a bad idea is it?

At least three rockets fired from southern Lebanon have hit a northern Israeli city.

They were reportedly fired from the area of Habaniyeh in southern Lebanon.

The rockets landed in empty fields and no one was hurt, an Israeli emergency official said.
