Is it a bad thing to meet, date and eventually get married to someone you met on a social site?

I dont feel its wrong but a colleague is saying otherwise...so i decided to put it onhere to seek u ppl's opinion.

It all depends on what you want, it doesn't work for everybody. For me I won't risk it.

it has happened, its happening and it will continue to happen. but personally, i will find it difficult to trust that person wholeheartedly becoz, am sure am not the only person she might have met on social network and probably will continue meeting others behind my back

her character and will determine if i will trust her. moreover, u and i both knw that meeting elsewhere is the general and normal way people meet. you get to know each, things starting to work out beautifully, the trust gradually starts to develop. but social network, i hardly can trust that person deeply

Badoo, 2go, fb, Twitter...na the same everywhere bro, whatever will be will be.

@Op like this dude stated, it depends. The reason some people resorts to online dating is 'cause some are either introverts, or too shy to walk up to a lady or man as the case may be or they have very tight schedules(this is common), and there are the scammers too.

These are the same set of people you see putting out their details on print medias, radios, TVs for potential partners...so you see it's not even only on social media.

Wether you end up with a good or bad one is at your own discretion. There're numerous relationships started online that ended up in marriages working perfectly and vice versa.

Sometimes it works out fine, sometimes you ain't just lucky enough.
