The most sensible message ever from sahara reporters.

I keep saying this.

Nairaland has 1million users
less than half are active
nigeria has 140million people
less than 1percent of nigerians are in nairaland.
So nairaland isnt a true reflection of who wins april election.

Nairaland is a microcosm of whole nation, is a mirror to what will happen in March

True but information on Nairaland is based on peoples opinion.
That is information gathered from fellow nigerians concerning the election.
Are you tell me that most of these rallies held by PDP and APC are internet rallies?

I don't see Buhari winning this election. God will not let it happen. It's better to remain with a clueless leader as some Apc e-rats call him than to be ruled by a jihadist, a coup plotter, cattle rearing, unqualified, health stricken, dictatorial, certificateless and illiterate Hausa/Fulani general. Meanwhile GEJ till 2019. #NeverAgain will a terrorist ever rule Nigeria again. Hit like and share for GEJ.

Some would argue that the social media echoes the sentiments of Nigerians. However, in it, everybody is responsible for his or her own opinions and cannot be said to be speaking for others. In France, the UK and the US, the social media will be an adequate tool to measure and sample the feelings of the entire population, but the same cannot be said over here. 20 million Nigerians cannot be said to be speaking the mind of 160 million others.

Wrong. The social media depicts the feelings of most Nigerians. Though there are many paid party members blogging and engaging the social media to create an impression of support for their paymasters, you still find that what is happening online is mostly the feeling of the people on ground.

Whoever you are that wrote this, keep it up. It's been a long time l read an article without errors. Most Nigerian newspapers and individual write-ups are always filled with bad grammar and wrong spellings. I'm not talking about abbreviations. When you see abbreviations you'll know. After reading some Nigerian online news and individual write-ups you weep for this nation and her future. Our leading newspapers and tv stations are the worst. This gives a bad impression of Nigerian journalism. It's actually a pity. Sometimes l wonder if they went through it at all before publishing. The rate of illitracy is alarming, even among those who claim to have gone to school. Some say buhari did not go to school when he's better than those that 'visited' the university. It's not about walking round the four walls of a university for four or more years. It's about learning what they are teaching. God help Nigeria. How l wish we'll be like the writer of this article. Keep it up dear. I appreciate good things when l see them.

southern Nigeria has an internet penetration of 0ver 65% compared to Northern Nigeria having barely 22%. this means that if the president is been trounced in an online poll supposedly dominated by his southern strong hold then he is as good as a goner sad

The Chinedu Ryan guy has a valid point. All the same, he forgets that social media reflect the feelings and thoughts of Nigerians on issues that bother on our everyday lives.

However small the users of social media might be, its a known fact every where in the country that Nigerians are tired of the current administration.

We must not fail to also say that the very instrument which put GEJ and the PDP is this present predicament is social media!. It helped in painting the administration of GEJ bad! Thus showing it for what it truly is, corrupt, inept and irresponsive to the yearning of Nigerians.

So to the writer, if social media can't win election, why and how come GEJ postpone elections slated for February 14?.

We should never forget, social media, play a significant role in disseminating information to the populace, whether positive or negative. It must not be underestimated!.

Yes now. Also the GEJ supporters are illiterates who don't know how to use social network.

Don't mind the fool that wrote the article o.

That means all the so call mallams, almanjiris and abokis who they call illiterates are now on twitter, facebook and forums and all of a sudden GEJ's support base (the SS and SE people) have become the illiterates that don't know how to use internet.

The guy is just looking for how to console himself and his supporters with these cooked up jargons.

If they are able to rig the election in their favour favor, they will come out and defend it with this spurious concussion of his.
