Akure—OVER 5000 youths from the South West, yesterday, converged on Akure, the Ondo State capital to endorse the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan.
Their endorsement came at the Post National Confab Summit, facilitated by the Ondo State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko.
The summit was entitled Youths: Our Hope for the Future.
Two other summits had been held in Akure, the Ondo state capital and Ibadan, Oyo state.
Speakers who include student union leaders, Kayode Ogunkuade and Rufai Adeyemi hinged their support and endorsement on the achievement of the President in all sectors and sections of the country.
They specifically said they were impressed with the achievements in the education sector
The youths said that the present administration increased the nine Federal Universities to 21 and also established 123 Almajiri schools in the North.

They are indeed 'punking' GEJ . It is the overwhelming loss in the SW the PDP foresaw that made them to postpone the election. This is the one region they think can save GEJ and this is why Jonathan, after the election postponement, has virtually relocated to Lagos to begin a 'dollar rain' on everyone in the SW he thinks can help him buy votes.

Only fools will take these insincere endorsement seriously. SW folks, in the majority, want change from the GEJ-led status quo. It is as simple as that and anyone deceiving GEJ about 'endorsement' is just 'chopping' his own share of the dollars our desperate President is sharing freely.

What would the SW be voting for if they support GEJ? More deaths? Greater darkness? Worsening poverty? Infrastructural incapacity? Monumental corruption? Brazen government-abetted scams? Bigger unemployment headaches for millions of our youths to include graduates with no jobs 5 years after graduating? In short, more "suffering and smiling"?

The SW is not affiliated with GEJ by ethnicity and thus owe him nothing. We do not want revenge against anyone either and certainly do not wish to support a 100% proven misruler because we perversely want to see him turn Nigeria into a failed nation.

To that end we can inspect GEJ dispassionately on what he has delivered over the 5 years he has been President and that alone. The overwhelming conclusion then is that GEJ has failed woefully far more than all others before him. In free and fair elections GEJ will lose overwhelmingly in the SW. Ask yourself, if an honest person, why it is the SW that GEJ immediately moved to woo after they postponed the election. Why has GEJ virtually relocated to Lagos to begin a dollars 'charm offensive'? Why is it almost entirely about the SW daily for the PDP, after the election postponement, if the ruling Party is secure about its chances in the region? Continue fooling yourself. The truth on the ground is that the SW has rejected GEJ because he is a huge failure whose Presidency has delivered virtually no benefit to the region. The PDP itself know this and this is why they are literally trying to buy kings, influential folks and opinion leaders in the region desperately before March 28.
