Every religion is based on faith, ie, following your feelings. Hindu's, Buddhist etc do not follow empirical evidence nor are their beliefs any more rational than yours. How will you compare such with atheism? Did you really cite a verse from the Christian holy book to support Christianity? undecided

Nope, I said it's unfalsifiable. I don't know how you understood that as guess work. And no, science never uses guess work. It only covers the materialistic so the concept of god does not fall within it.

You can change the name but guess work is still guess work. It is only foolish people that take guess work as fact.

All I know is that evil was found in him.

It has been an erroneous antiquated notion that people think or reason with their heart. This idea came from primitive ignorant men, including the writers of the Bible. The heart is useless in this case. All it mainly does is to pump blood. We think and reason with the brain, not with the heart. So we should know what we oughta be building our points on now.
Why don't you use your head to reason out love and see how it goes.
Or do you use your head to find out if you are in love or not?

My friend there are certain things you can't use your head to find out but you can search your heart and find the truth there.

Illiteracy at its highest peak. Every thought, whether love or not, is sited in your brain. The heart, I repeat, is useless in this aspect. Only the illiterate and ignorant would think we think and reason with the heart. The Bible writers are no exception.

You know I'm not talking about literal heart (the organ).
I'm talking about the right side of our brain that is dominant in emotions and feelings.

Search your heart? For real? Like the heart is a memory center or some sort of storage device.

Why are religious people inherently dumb?

Good. So we are gradually leaving the heart and moving to the brain.

So consequently, Bart Erhman has no criticization from you. Huh?

Evil is not an entity. I seriously don't know where these guys come up with this nonsense. Evil is the nature of ones character, not an entity that can be uploaded or downloaded into a mainframe.

Its a shame people don't really think these days.
Or maybe God too doesn't think when He put this in the Bible:
"You are blameless in all you did from the day you were created until the day evil was found in you." (Ezekiel 28:15).

He are brother, I love you and I don't what to argue with you. But if I'm saying things you don't understand you should go ahead and make your brother look like a fool in front of these carnal men.
And if you want to voice out you should have approach me and I would try to explain myself, instead of implying that I don't think.

Please show love to your fellow brother.

I may have overestimated your English comprehension...

guesswork-
ˈɡɛswəːk/
noun
the process or results of guessing.

guess-
ɡɛs/
verb
estimate or conclude (something) without sufficient information to be sure of being correct.

unfalsifiable-
adjective un·fal·si·fi·able \ˌən-ˌfȯl-sə-ˈfī-ə-bəl\
not capable of being proved false.

How are these even related?

my good friend, long time.

Psalm 139:23

Search me, God, and KNOW my heart; test me and know my anxious THOUGHT.

Search me, O God, and know
my heart: try me, and know my thoughts. Examine me, and see if I have not represented my feelings as they really are. Keep on always searching me out and "trying my reins and my heart" (Psalm 26:2). My desire is to be proved and tested.

Many times in the bible we read the statement,
"... For I, your God, am A Jealous God.."

THE TYPICAL OYINBO ATHEIST FINDS THAT HE IS UNABLE TO FIND A LOGICAL ARGUMENT AGAINST GOD- THEREFORE, HAVING NO POINT IN HIS LIFE, THE ATHEIST LIES ABOUT THE BIBLE, IN ORDER TO BLUFF THAT HE HAS A POINT.

[The WOMAN Atheist merely follows the lead of some MALE Atheist- being incapable of sinking to such depths of unawareness without a suitable anchor. Women are reminded one-a-month, from MENARCHE to MENOPAUSE, that there IS a SUPERIOR POWER to themselves, whose Will they cannot Deny.]

. EXODUS 20:1-7.

AND God spake all these Words,
saying,
2. "I [am] The LORD
thy God, which have brought thee
out of the land of Egypt,
out of the House of Bondage.
3. "Thou shalt have
no other gods before me.
4. "Thou shalt not make unto
thee any graven image,
or any likeness [of any thing]
that [is] in Heaven above,
or that [is] in the Earth beneath,
or that [is] in the water under the Earth:
5. "Thou shalt not bow down thyself
to them, nor serve them:
for I The LORD thy God
[am] a Jealous God,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers
upon the children
unto the third and fourth [generation]
of them that hate Me;
6. "And shewing Mercy
unto thousands of them that love Me,
and keep My Commandments.
7. "Thou shalt not take
The Name of the LORD thy God in vain;
for The LORD will not hold him
guiltless that taketh His Name in vain."

. EXODUS 34:12-16.

12. "Take heed to thyself,
lest thou make a Covenant
with the inhabitants of the land
whither thou goest,
lest it be for a snare
in the midst of thee:
13. "But ye shall destroy their Altars,
break their images,
and cut down their groves:
14. "For thou shalt worship no other god:
for The LORD, whose Name is Jealous,
is a jealous God:
15. "Lest thou make a Covenant
with the inhabitants of the land,
and they go a whoring after their gods,
and do sacrifice unto their gods,
and one call thee,
and thou eat of his Sacrifice;
16. "And thou take of their daughters
unto thy sons,
and their daughters go a whoring
after their gods,
and make thy sons go a whoring
after their gods."

. DEUTERONOMY 4:23-24.

23. "Take heed unto yourselves,
lest ye forget The Covenant
of The LORD your God,
Which He made with you,
and make you a Graven Image,
or the likeness of any thing,
which The LORD thy God
hath forbidden thee.
24. For The LORD thy God
is A Consuming Fire,
even A Jealous God."

. DEUTERONOMY 5:1-11.

AND Moses called all Israel,
and said unto them,
"Hear, O Israel,
the Statutes and Judgments
Which I speak in your ears this day,
that ye may learn them,
and keep, and do them.
2. "The LORD our God
made a Covenant with us in Horeb.
3. "The LORD made not This Covenant
with our fathers,
but with us,
even us,
who are all of us here alive this day.
4. "The LORD talked with you
face-to-face in the mount
out of the midst of the Fire,
5. ["I stood between The LORD
and you at that time,
to shew you The Word of The LORD:
for ye were afraid by reason of The Fire,
and went not up into the mount;] saying,

6. 'I am The LORD thy God,
Which brought thee out
of the land of Egypt,
from the House of Bondage.
7. 'Thou shalt have none
other gods before Me.
8. "Thou shalt not make thee
any graven image,

9. 'Thou shalt not

11. 'Thou shalt not take
The Name of The LORD thy God in vain:
for The LORD will not hold him guiltless
that taketh His Name in vain.' "

. DEUTERONOMY 6:10-25.

10 And it shall be,
when The LORD thy God
shall have brought thee
into the land
which he sware unto thy fathers,
to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob,
to give thee great and goodly cities,
which thou buildedst not,
11. And houses full
of all Good Things,
which thou filledst not,
and wells digged,
which thou diggedst not,
vineyards and olive trees,
which thou plantedst not;
when thou shalt have eaten
and be full;
12. Then Beware
lest thou forget The LORD,
which brought thee
forth out of the land of Egypt,
from the House of Bondage.
13. Thou shalt fear
The Lord thy God,
and serve Him,
and shalt swear by his Name.
14. Ye shall not go after other gods,
of the gods of the people
which are round about you;
15. [For The LORD thy God
is a Jealous God among you]
lest The Anger of The Lord thy God
be kindled against thee,
and destroy thee
from off The Face of the Earth.

16. Ye shall not tempt
The LORD your God,
as ye tempted Him in Massah.

17 Ye shall diligently keep
The Commandments
of The LORD your God,
and His Testimonies,
and His Statutes,
Which He hath Commanded thee.
18. And thou shalt do that
which is Right and Good
in The Sight of The LORD:
that it may be well with thee,
and that thou mayest
go in and possess
the Good Land
which The LORD sware
unto thy fathers,
19. To cast out all thine Enemies
from before thee,
as The LORD hath spoken.
20. And when thy son asketh thee
in time to come, saying, "What mean the Testimonies,
and the Statutes, and The Judgments,
Which The LORD our God
hath Commanded you?"
21. Then thou shalt say unto thy son,
"We were Pharaoh's Bondmen in Egypt;
and The LORD brought us
out of Egypt with a Mighty Hand:
22. "And The Lord shewed
Signs and Wonders,
Great and Sore,
upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh,
and upon all his household,
before our eyes:
23. "And he brought us
out from thence,
that he might bring us in,
to give us the land
which he sware unto our fathers.
24. "And The LORD Commanded us
to do all these Statutes,
to fear The LORD our God,
for our Good always,
that He might preserve us alive,
as it is at this day.
25. "And it shall be
our Righteousness,
if we observe to do
all These Commandments
before The LORD our God,
as He hath Commanded us."

. JOSHUA 24:15-25.

15 And if it seem Evil unto you
to serve The LORD,
choose you this day
whom ye will serve;
whether the gods
which your fathers served
that were on the other side
of The Flood,
or the gods of the Amorites,
in whose land ye dwell:
but as for me and my house,
we will serve The LORD."
16. And the People answered and said,
"God forbid
that we should forsake The LORD,
to serve other gods;
17. For The LORD our God,
He it is that brought us up
and our fathers
out of the land of Egypt,
from the House of Bondage,
and which did
Those Great Signs in our Sight,
and preserved us in all the Way
wherein we went,
and among all the people
through whom we passed:
18. And The LORD drave out
from before us all the people,
even the Amorites
which dwelt in the land:
therefore will we also
serve The LORD;
for He is our God."
19. And Joshua said unto the People,
"Ye cannot serve The LORD:
for He is an Holy God;
He is a Jealous God;
He will not forgive your Transgressions
nor your Sins.
20. "If ye forsake The LORD,
and serve strange gods,
then He will Turn
and do you Hurt,
and Consume you,
after that He hath
done you Good."
21. And the people said unto Joshua,
Nay; but we will serve The LORD.
22. And Joshua said unto the people,
"Ye are witnesses against yourselves
that ye have chosen you The LORD,
to serve Him."
And they said,
"We are Witnesses."
23. "Now therefore put away," said He,
"the strange gods which are among you,
and incline your heart
unto The LORD God of Israel."
24. And the people said unto Joshua,
"The LORD our God will we serve,
and His Voice will we obey."
25. So Joshua made a Covenant
with the people that day,
and set them a Statute
and an Ordinance in Shechem.

. EZEKIEL 39:21-29.

21. "And I will set My Glory
among the Heathen,
and all the Heathen
shall see My Judgment
that I have executed,
and My Hand
That I have laid upon them.
22. "So The House of Israel
shall know that
I am The LORD their God
from that day and forward.
23. "And the Heathen shall know
that The House of Israel
went into Captivity
for their Iniquity:
because they trespassed
against Me,
therefore hid I My Face from them,
and gave them into the Hand
of their Enemies:
so fell they all by the sword.
24. "According to their Uncleanness
and according to their Transgressions
have I done unto them,
and hid My Face from them.
25. "Therefore thus saith The Lord God;

'Now will I bring again
the Captivity of Jacob,
and have Mercy upon
The whole House of Israel,
and will be Jealous
for My Holy Name;
26. 'After that they have
Borne their Shame,
and all their Trespasses
whereby they have Trespassed
against Me,
when they dwelt safely
in their land,
and none made them afraid.
27. 'When I have brought them
again from the people,
and gathered them
out of their enemies' lands,
and Am Sanctified in them
in The Sight of many Nations;
28. 'Then shall they know
that I am The LORD their God,
Which caused them
to be led into Captivity
among the Heathen:
but I have gathered them
unto their own land,
and have left none of them
any more there.
29. 'Neither will I hide My Face
any more from them:
for I have poured out My Spirit
upon The House of Israel,' " saith The LORD God.

. JOEL 2:18.

18. Then will The LORD
be Jealous for His land,
and pity His people.

. NAHUM 1:1-3.

THE Burden of Nineveh.
The Book of the Vision
of Nahum the Elkoshite.

2 God is Jealous,
and The LORD Revengeth;
The LORD Revengeth,
and is Furious;
The Lord will take Vengeance
on His Adversaries,
and He Reserveth Wrath
for His Enemies.
3. The LORD is slow to Anger,
and Great in Power,
and will not at all
Acquit the Wicked:
The LORD hath His Way
in the Whirlwind and in the Storm,
and the Clouds
are The Dust of His Feet.

. ZECHARIAH 1:12-15.

12. Then The Angel of The LORD
answered and said,
"O LORD of Hosts,
how long wilt Thou
not have Mercy on Jerusalem
and on the Cities of Judah,
against which thou hast had
Indignation these
threescore and ten years?"
13 And The LORD answered
The Angel that talked with me
with Good Words
and Comfortable Words.
14. So The Angel that
communed with me said unto me,
"Cry thou," saying,
"Thus saith The LORD of Hosts;
I am Jealous for Jerusalem
and for Zion with a Great Jealousy.
15. "And I am very Sore Displeased
with the Heathen that are at ease:
for I was but a Little Displeased,
and they helped forward the Affliction."

. ZECHARIAH 8:1-8.

AGAIN The Word
of The LORD of Hosts
came to me, saying,
2. "Thus saith The Lord of Hosts;
I was Jealous for Zion
with Great Jealousy,
and I was Jealous for her
with Great Fury.
3. 'Thus saith The LORD;
I am Returned unto Zion,
and will dwell
in the midst of Jerusalem:
and Jerusalem shall be called
A City of Truth;
and the Mountain
of The LORD of Hosts
The Holy Mountain.'
4. "Thus saith The Lord of Hosts;
'There shall yet old men
and old women
dwell in the streets of Jerusalem,
and every man with his staff
in his hand for very age.
5. 'And the streets of the City
shall be full of boys and girls
playing in the streets thereof.'
6. 'Thus saith The LORD of Hosts;
'If it be marvellous
in the Eyes of the Remnant
of this people in these days,
should it also be
Marvellous in mine Eyes?' "

OF ALL THE SIXTEEN PLACES IN THE BIBLE WHERE THE WORD "JEALOUS" OCCURS, THESE ELEVEN SCIPTURES ARE WHERE THE TERM IS DIECTLY APPLIED TO GOD.

The POINT being that YAHWEH GOD JUST RESCUED The Children of Israel from 400 years of SLAVERY.

As HE PROMISED that He would to ABRAHAM.

Are you insane or mentally-deficient, that you do not understand that THESE PEOPLE were SELECTED BY GOD- being created by HIS DIRECT INTERVENTION?

. GENESIS 17:1-8.

AND when Abram
was ninety years old, and nine,
The LORD appeared to Abram,
and said unto him,
"I (am) The Almighty God;
walk before Me,
and be thou perfect.
2. "And I will make My Covenant
between Me and thee,
and will multiply thee exceedingly."
3. And Abram fell on his face:
and God talked with him, saying,
4. "As for Me, behold,
My Covenant (is) with thee,
and thou shalt be
a father of many nations.
5. "Neither shall thy name
any more be called Abram,
but thy Name shall be Abraham;
for a Father of many nations
have I made thee.
6. "And I will make thee
exceedingly fruitful,
and I will make nations of thee,
and kings shall come out of thee.
7. "And I will establish
My Covenant between Me and thee
and thy Seed after thee
in their Generations
for an Everlasting Covenant,
to be a God unto thee,
and to thy Seed after thee.
8. "And I will give unto thee,
and to thy Seed after thee,
the Land wherein
thou art a Stranger,
all the Land of Canaan,
for an Everlasting Possession;
and I will be their God."

GOD WANTED THIS ONE PEOPLE- THAT OWED HIM EVERYTHING- TO RUN ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS ON THE EARTH.

No god cared for them.

No god cares about fixing the Earth.

Therefore Yahweh God could ill AFFORD for the Children of Israel to go worship the very Entities that were KILLING THEM, and spoiling the Earth.

The universal definition of Jealousy is thus:

A negative feeling of resentment, anxiety, inadequacy, insecurity againsts a another or rival who appears to enjoy greater advantage or success.

So, againSt whom was the omni omni creator of the universe feeling resentment and insecure?
