Wife of the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Hajiya Aisha Buhari, Monday, donated assorted drugs and other relief materials to victims of the multiple suicide bomb attacks that occurred last weekend in Maiduguri the Borno state capital.
Mrs. Buhari presented the items through the Borno State First Lady, Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima Monday at the State Specialist Hospital Maiduguri.
The Borno State First Lady extended the condolences and sympathies of Hajiya Aisha Buhari to the people of Borno state and government over the multiple bomb attacks in the metropolis, while calling for prayers for peace in the land.
Hajiya Buhari further commended the efforts of the security agencies and the Civilian JTF in fighting the Boko haram insurgency in the state.
Collecting the items for the victims, Chief Medical Director of the Borno State Hospitals Dr. Salisu Kwaya Bura thanked Mrs. Buhari for the gesture, adding that it will go a long way in attending to the health needs of the patients within the state owned hospitals, describing the suicide bomb attacks as senseless.
He expressed gratitude to Hajiya Aisha Buhari for the kind efforts, describing the gesture as timely.
The items include 150 cartons of assorted drugs, 1000 multi-vitamins, polythene mats and blankets etc.
