I witnessed it last week sunday. Coming to Abuja from PH, the driver took the Airport Road and when we got a few metres to that interchange that leads toward d airport, there was holdup caused by the closure of the road because the presidential convoy was expected to ply the road. We spent up to 30minutes before the convoy passed and the road opened. Motorists plying that route are used to it, but for 1st timer witness like me, e no funny oh, later that night I saw him on TV with nollywood celebrities in Lagos

Depend on the area u stay in abuja as this is not a new thing to peeps staying around airport road.
People always pray not to be on the road whenever our president is going to the airport or coming back.........u c both policemen and soldiers at every point say from central area to the airport....the distance they occupy wont even be up to 5miles to each other.

The most annoying is stopping all moving things from passing, from cars to human being. It so annoying that you will b looking at your house across the street and you wont be able to cross the road for almost an hour all because our C-in-C who is not even at the airport want to pass.

You dare not even make attempt to cross the road cos the combine police and soldiers on the road will make u 4get ur name if u try it
