Looks like Ghana are sell outs to Obama and the US allowing the US to use their country as a staging point. My gut feeling is that there will be some violence but not to the level that will require the US to send in troops to evacuate their citizens. Nigeria is not on the verge of a civil war.

Even more were dispatched from Fort Benning 2 days ago. So what does the US know

Those are support elements from the Army Medical Corps who are engaged in humanitarian efforts to help contain the ebola virus. Some of them just got back, and a different batch just deployed. They are not headed to Nigeria.

The news paper called the nation must be very sick for reporting this nonsense. How does Nigeria election became US headache that will now warrant US Marine station in one village called Ghana

They did not station fu ck Marine when 13,000 Nigeria were stained by Boko Haram? They refused to sell arms to Nigeria govt to fight these demons called Boko Haram but can station jobless Marine to be waiting for election trouble. The Nation or what did you call yourself your better name should have the The Allien or The Demon or The Devil. E-diets.
"The United States is said to have had an intelligence report that the election could turn bloody, if the result does not favour the ruling party. " “Their mission is to move into Nigeria swiftly, should there be any need to do so,” the source said.
Actually, looking at what OPC is doing in Lagos, What the Militants are doing in Rivers state and knowing how much Jonathan has armed these folks and how desperate Jonathan is, you wont be considered exceptionally brilliant if you say "there would likely be VIOLENCE when Jonathan tries to RIG the election!

But worry NOT!

When Laurent Gbagbo of Ivory Coast was WARNED to desist from causing wahala because of his political over-ambition, he did not hear!
French Special Forces nearby were quickly dispatched to arrest him and bring him to International Justice!

If Jonathan no hear word, all his Creek Militants and OPC will not save him ..... infact, OPC go just chop and clean mouth! grin

Like lightening, he would be arrested and bundled away to The Hague!
Seems like Mama Piss will have to spend sometime in jail as well kiss kiss
.

Choi! Jonathan cannot wriggle out of this one...... Na "One Chance" im enter grin grin

That is if they "ask permission" now! Did they ask Gbagbo for permission to enter Ivory Coast before putting him in handcuffs?

If you think THE WORLD WILL SIT IDLE-BY and watch you saddle the world with 180Million REFUGEES due to AVOIDABLE election Violence, as a result of Jonathan's desperation, then you need to think twice...... or advice that Otuoke creek mosquito to watch his moves and not try further, to rig this election.

This election and nigeria as a country is BIGGER than Jonathan and his co-looters!

Go! Jonathan Go!! is what the election verdict will be tomorrow tongue tongue

Did you read the article? U.S.A is not concerned about Nigerians, they are concerned about American citizens in Nigeria. If there is any sign of problem, they would withdraw their citizens. U.S.A are not really concerned about Chibok girls... they have 1001 problems of their own to deal with. Nigeria and Nigerians don't pay tax to U.S.A, so why should the U.S government be concerned about the kidnap of 200 African girls?

Re: US Stations Marines In Ghana In Fear Of Post Election Crisis - The Nation by Nobody: 7:45pm On Mar 27, 2015
USA is not interested in attacking Nigeria, they just want to get their American citizens out of Nigeria if there is a break out of violence. And if Nigerian Army does not allow them to get their citizens out, then USA WOULD UNLEASH WAR AND TERROR ON THE NIGERIAN ARMY!

Believe me, Nigeria does not want to f.u.cc.k with the USA.

Refugees and their "management" is an international problem that involves the UNHCR and other international bodies.
Countries also have to open their borders to these refugees, placing pressure on their social facilities.

Now, "Prevention is better than Cure".
World Powers have NOW concluded that it is Cheaper and more expedient to "CONTAIN" such Crisis at the host nation, than allow it to spread and become unmanageable or extremely costly.

Liberia or Sierra Leone would not have cost the world so much in terms of human lives and resources, if Samuel Doe or Charles Taylor have been seized ASAP, before they threw West Africa into chaos.

That was why Laurent Gbagbo was not allowed to throw Ivory coast into Chaos before being arrested and caged.
Ofcourse, the French Special Forces "nearby" was there to evacuate French Citizens in the event of Chaos! grin grin wink

America and the E.U has warned president Jonathan.... and put him ON NOTICE that he would be PERSONALLY BE HELD RESPONSIBLE (read that again please) for anticipated election Violence in Nigeria, having seen all the anti-democratic "tricks" he is playing on Nigerians.

So for those asking or wondering whether America can intervene, dont ask..... just wait and see.
Ivory Coast is a lesson in this context.
