The average age on nairaland is 25yrs, and 2002/2003 was 13yrs ago, minus 13yrs from 25 you get 12. I wonder were some liars above get 50k to buy sim and phone.

And that is exactly why a lot of you don't know. You all were too young to remember or own one.

Nairalanders will be calling a generation "Indomie Generation".
When this sim pack was been sold was when Indomie came out too.

Indomie Noodles has been in circulation since the early nineties. Between 91 & 92.

Thank God for Globacom.
These bascards will av continued raaping us

The point is that you guys dont understand how things work. Everything cost a lot at it very bigining, it proberbly cost mtn a furtune to bring dawn gsm to Nigeria and nobody knows his agreement with then Goverment the Obasanjor regim. So they have to sale to cover up its birth price before bringing dawn the price.

The price of cellphones sim cards and other telecom items are the only things that obey the law of gravity in this Nigerian economy. We hope others follow suit...Petrol has done it.Still hoping for private jets and land to join.

Made me remember when my dad was transfered to warri from ondo state, he had to get one for my mum... The sim card I think was 35k and the Nokia 3310 (with a big blue "pali" like say na cooler dey inside even the charger na like adapter, and the "pali" sef na VIP for our house, u dear not touch it anyhow), the phone sell for a little above 40k then,
But my papa salary suffer ooo... And we drink the phone garri.

You must truly be an "indomie generation" product!

I first ate indomie in 1990 during my days at FGC Kaduna. How would you believe that indomie came out in 2000 (the year of GSM!)? Nsogbu dikwa!
