It the army carrying the brunt of this war, or at least most if it
OK but at least he should be more accountable in my opinion. Providing us with more press releases information and official photos just like the air force so we can see what he's doing, also their social media and YouTube accounts need to step up, not every thing is secret. If people see a great media presence by the army, you'll see more support than antagonisim for the army.

As part of efforts to rid the North West and North Central States of the Country of armed bandits and other criminal elements, the Air Component of Operation HADARIN DAJI has launched a subsidiary air interdiction Operation, codenamed WUTAN DAJI. The Operation, which was preceded by the massive deployment of additional air assets and ground support equipment by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to Katsina, is aimed at taking out armed bandits’ locations that were painstakingly selected, based on impeccable Human Intelligence (HUMINT) reports as well as series of Surveillance missions, in order to significantly degrade the armed bandits’ fighting capability before it could be brought to bear against friendly forces or innocent civilians.
Since the operation began on 20 June 2020, 10 locations have been attacked and scores of armed bandits neutralized, as confirmed by HUMINT reports. Some of the significant air strikes include those executed at Dutsen Asolo and Birnin Kogo areas of Katsina State as well as at Dogo Gede’s Camp in the Kwayanbana Forest area of Zamfara State.
At Dutsen Asolo, NAF jets dispatched by the Air Component attacked the cave/hideout of the bandits, destroying the main entry point and neutralizing some fighters. Some surviving bandits, who were tracked escaping from the cave area were taken out in follow-on strikes. Also, on 21 June 2020, at the bandits’ enclave in the Kwayanbana Forest, an attack helicopter took out one of the bandits’ logistics huts, which was seen engulfed in flames. Similarly, at Birnin Kogo on 22 June 2020, some armed bandits, who fled their dwellings in the centre of the camp to nearby bushes on hearing the sound of the attack aircraft, were neutralized as the NAF fighter jets hit them at their hiding positions.
The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, who was in Katsina to oversee the Operation, has commended the Air Component of Operation HADARIN DAJI for their professionalism. He has urged them to remain resolute in the conduct of air strikes whilst continuing to provide close air support for ongoing ground operations in order to eradicate all armed bandits; thus accomplishing the directives of the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) to restore normalcy in the North West and North Central Zones of the Country.

the name "armed bandits" is beginning to look like an understatement for these people. Hope we will not see a northern Nigeria administered by factions in the future?

Every jet his good in its own class !

The jf17 is a multi-role fighter jet that can be used for ground attack, interception and to deliver anti-missiles etc
While the A29 his designed specifically for ground attack, ISR missions and can be used for trainer aircraft. The beauty of these A29 is the ISR capability & prosecute targets accordingly, easily to maintain and the variety of munitions this baby can deliver.

Couple of years ago, I was with this AFSF guy, he had just come back from the N.E and he was fighting these bandits in Kaduna, and he told me point blank, these bandits are boko haram, but the government is trying to cover it up, so as not to spread fear .

TACKLING ARMED BANDITRY: NAF TAKES FREE HEALTHCARE SERVICES TO DISPLACED PERSONS IN FASKARI, KATSINA STATE

In another gesture towards ameliorating the hardship of those affected by the activities of armed bandits, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has extended free medical services to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Faskari Community, Faskari Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State. This is coming just a few days after the conduct of a similar medical outreach in Sabon Birni LGA of Sokoto State. The medical outreach is part of the NAF’s non-kinetic, civil-military relations efforts aimed at providing succour to all those who had been displaced from their communities due to recent attacks by armed bandits. This is just as the Service has ramped up efforts to address the banditry challenge with the deployment of additional air assets to Sokoto, Kaduna, Niger, Zamfara and Katsina States.

The 3-day free healthcare services, which commenced yesterday, 24 June 2020, would also be accompanied by the distribution of palliatives such as blankets, toiletries, footwear, drinking water as well as food items and condiments, amongst others, to the IDPs. During the outreach, there will be free consultations, health education, immunization and de-worming of children, distribution of insecticide-treated mosquito nets, dental services as well as visual acuity checks and provision of prescription eye glasses.

While flagging off the medical outreach, the Director of Primary Health, Faskari LGA, Hajiya Rabi Abu Safiyanu, who represented the Head of the LGA Administration, was full of appreciation for the NAF's timely free medical intervention, which she believed would go a long way in alleviating the medical challenges of the IDPs. “We are very happy and grateful to the Nigerian Government and the NAF for the timely intervention,” she said. She therefore urged the IDPs to avail themselves of the opportunity by coming out in their large numbers to access the free healthcare services being provided by the NAF for the 3-day period.

Speaking during the flag-off ceremony, the Director of Public Health and Humanitarian Services, NAF, who is also the Leader of the NAF Medical Team, Group Captain Ali Tanko, disclosed that they were in Faskari on the directive of the CAS to attend to the immediate medical needs of the IDPs in the community. He noted that the medical outreach would run for 3 days during which free healthcare services would be rendered to the people to further enhance civil military relations.
The beneficiaries, who were mostly women and children, equally expressed their appreciation to the CAS and the NAF for the kind humanitarian gesture. Dignitaries at the flag-off ceremony included the Representative of District Head of Faskari, Sarkin Yamman Katsina, Alhaji Lawal Aliyu Saulawa; the Director of Administration Faskari LGA; the NAF Deputy Director of Civil Military Relations, Group Captain Musa Aileru, as well as other senior NAF officers and officials of Faskari LGA.
