Some of you generals quick to criticize and insult, I don't see you praising the nation's for our little wins, eg our rail now works, military wise this means huge number of troops can now be mobilised and moved to parts of the nation easily, do you think d government/ military dosent know this before designing the rails, we have new civilian airports being built and upgraded this means worsts come to worst the airforce can use them, Nigeria is now a defence exporter PROFORCE ARA MRAP is being fielded on various battle fields on the continent, and much more, we lose some battles yea, but have we lost the war no, will we win the war definitely Yes.. 4 Likes |

If I have 600mil in my account what will I buy with it to persecute this insurgency war. I would buy super tucano just the same way the air Force bought it. They army are trying to get their hands on funds and are expecting equipment to come in early not long duration, that is why some of us assume that they are buying piecemeal 1 Like |

Due to the lack of bad news this days some people are on a low key, while the rest are on the offensive insulting our inbound planes because they know pass military hyrachy, anyway as for me my only prayers is NAF goes back to the days of the immediate past air chief AVM Sadique Abubakar when strike footages was reported daily, a joyful site to behold when precision guided bombs shot from a super Tucano from kilometres away fly sweetly and take out targets who never saw it coming with pin point accuracy 7 Likes

RiceProducers: Reread my post again please. I never advocated for the drones to be armed. They are there strictly to provide battlefield surveillance and enable accurate weapon targeting launched from our military bases. I still maintain we overpaid for what we are getting and that it's not the game changer required. 1 Like |

DaddyGoo:You stopped reading because reading is not your thing. You should know enough to know that's a mistake. Someone that knows enough to call the aircraft turboprop knows the difference between jet engine and turboprop. But you decided to use that escuse to further your long running family tradition of not reading and illiteracy. What good thing did you think will ever come out of your calling me out? Salatavor: Bros, your education and civilization levels are clearly not so great. Mine aren't the highest, but definitely I'm not at this your market level of flinging unnecessary insults! With all due respect sir, turboprop and jet are two different types of propulsion plant. And if you truly knew a female sheep is called an ewe, why did you wait for my correction to use the word ewe? You and this your I too know behavior remind me of our local journalists that refer to Tucano turboprop airplanes as fighter jets and Mi35 attack helicopters as attack aeroplanes. This is probably down to poor research from them, or stubborn I too know as you are currently displaying. I normally won't engage an obvious ITK like yourself, but Sallah don give me time...........if you like continue in your myopic ways, if you like take correction and improve yourself. Na your effin business. 3 Likes |

GeneralFarouq: So,if I cut your hamstrings and leave you to d1e in a waterless desert did I kill you or not? It doesn't matter if Boko Haram did or did not directly kill all 350k people, but that it provided the enabling environment for them to gruesomely die. As for your number 1, I think it's time you go into sambisa forest and ask the Boko boys why they are appointing governors for locales and levying taxes like a government. How dare they!!! Have they forgotten they should be doing hit and run rather than seizing, holding ground and ruling over a populace? Do let them know this kind of outrage will not be tolerated. 6 Likes |

DaddyGoo: Ignoramuses know nothing shouldn't be dignified with a response. They are a shame. The propeller of the A-29 Super Tucano is the aircrafts advantage for sustained ISR, armed overwatch and loiter-combat-patrol over the vicinity of interest. It can stay close to the fight, take off and land from austere air strips even roads, it can power up speed if need be and most of all stay out of the reach of AA guns by flying at high altitudes from which it can see with eagles eyes via sensors to pick a rabbit on the ground and hit with fire & forget precision. It is a 21st century 4th gen. aircraft and one way experts simply describes the aircraft with its stall speed, avionics, sensors and weapon systems is "a very deadly beast in the air". 1. 2021 Supplementary Budget Details Recall the FG is going to borrow Over N800Billion for 2021 supplementary budget which Security agencies would get ~N722Billion for capital expenditure. Sha here are the best snippets Army Vehicle Requirement 48,670,100,000 Defence equipment N96 Billion Navy Arms and Ammo Requirement N36B Purchase of equipment N34Billion and Medium term equipment N21B Overall the Navy is going to spend N157Billion without mentioning any specific purchase (e.g ships) Airforce Additional aircraft N140Billion Other equipment N84B However, if we add these two items we get N224Billion, in US dollars using CBN exchange rate of 410 that is $546.3 Million. So that is some serious money. Excluding the Tucanos, i can't remember Airforce spending such amount at once. Overall the airforce is spending N239Billion 2. Super Tucanos may be delivered tomorrow, in fact it would be according to the Americans . Around May 7th The Perm Sec Defence said below, and it is on its way so i think the Schedule they gave is on track. "We paid $496millon to the American government and it is getting to three years now, the Super Tucanos are yet to arrive. Last week, we received an email that it will come by 21st of July" - ^^ So in the next 24 hours it should be in Nigeria We can only hope the Chiefs would tackle some fundamental problems that has been recurrent in this war for years which the Super Tucano cannot solve. 3 Likes

The A-29 Super Tucano is armed with weapons that can take out a single individual, take out a moving vehicle or destroy with precision an improvised hideout from stand off distances. In short the Nigerian Air Force inbound A-29 Super Tucano aircraft can shoot through a marked window of the enemies house with minimum collateral damage hitting its target. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhazfkVSrDk 2 Likes |
