Whyem15: Omo we need to start archiving more than these single digit casualties on BHTs, that means employing more mortars and artillery strikes when they are herded into a kill zone, these are the major causes of casualties in a battle field 1 Like |

Tobiloba24072: I believe they must have learnt not to cluster together after several years of Battlefield experience. Sending more snipers to the Frontline will increase the figures. Also the airforce actually records significant casualties against the enemies. |

Whyem15: I agree that they space themselves, but the mortar team and artillery out to have plotted their environment out to a certain distance, each plot/grid is given a certain code name...and spotters placed with a copy of the graph, each time there is a tiny cluster of enemies, the spotter just calls the code name, it just a matter of dialing a preset numbers on the weapons, against each codename to pre targeted zones. It's just a .matter of drilling to achieve a certain level of competence. 1 Like |

The bitter pill of IPOB recklessly killing and enforcing hardship on civilians in the South East is very difficult to swallow for those who encouraged them when this madness started hence the silence. If it were to be soldiers killed or police station burnt, it would have been trending enormously. The government would be making a lethal mistake by launching another military operation in that axis any time soon, allow the miscreant to continue with this behavior for some time, it is only a matter of time before the people who originally supported them start mobbing them and giving Intel to law enforcement agencies. They progressed from declaring sit at home once a year to enforcing it twice a week. Just this morning, someone posted an advisory for people to stop driving or moving around with hilux vehicles as they are now attacking people in such vehicles. It can only get worse from here as most of these supposed freedom fighters are actually criminals recruited after the jailbreak and this is what they live for. Whoever is heading IPOB won't be able to stop them when he realizes the damage that is being done. 18 Likes |

Whyem15:***Edited*** They knew IPOB/ESN killed Chike Akinyili when they mistook him for a politician yet are somehow blaming herdsmen, the red pill is obviously difficult to swallow. I am just watching the cognitive dissonance in awe. It is amazing how people can be easily brainwashed when you appeal to their emotions. Even in Zamfara, the epicenter of banditry in Nigeria, bandits don't commit their crimes in public places. They always prefer secluded places and mostly under the cover of darkness, yet Dr Chike was murdered in broad day light with civilians watching and video taping the whole ordeal. When the man made several harrowing futile attempt to stand up with his dying breath, no one came to help him . Everyone was focused on getting the perfect gut wrenching video. The masses have been thoroughly brainwashed, truth is now secondary. 17 Likes 2 Shares |

Whyem15: They needn’t even be Jail breakers to act as is ongoing, they just have to be ordinary, narrowly informed types; those types you see in every corner of town, at mechanic scrap yards, hanging around kiosks, bothering people at the market, football watching joints; sometimes he is muscular or thuggish looking. The type that group around draft boards placed on lorry tires or blocks, talking loudly and expressing opinions add odds with the reality of the world. This type is an ITK of fustian politics whose opinions are only true by virtue of how loud he shouts them, cowing others. This type, on joining something like ESN or any group promising salvation by dint of the relevant theory and recommended course of action, will be the most enthusiastic. His type will want immediate outcome because he wants to enjoy those benefits in his lifetime not comprehending that no such benefits is in the first place possible. Before now, he somehow confused the gratification he vaguely believes he will enjoy, by hurting those more fortunate in life than him, with the better future his people will enjoy from his violent actions. And in this case since the course of action is independence through bloodshed, he will pursue bloodshed ravenously, desperately. He hasn’t the acumen to understand reality or how his limits are at ones exploited by leadership and separate from leadership by a gulf in class, intelligence and the life chances and opportunity that these afford. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

iboboyswag:If the FG have not been treating the IPOB issue with an iron fist, maybe we won't be where we are today. Before IPOB started carrying arms, securityt agencies will attack them for holding a peaceful protest or meeting. But whenever Fulani heardsmen attack a community, killing and destroying properties, the security agencies will be no where to be found, while the FG will start giving different excuse on behalf of the Fulanis. This is one of the reason the South West Governors decided to create Amotekun, to defend the South West against the fulanis wrecking havoc. The South East Governors messed up with the way they handle the Fulani heardsmen issue, If they work together early like the South West Governors and created a security outfit, maybe, Nnamdi Kanu won't have created ESN. If fulanis herdsmen were not pampered by the Government, and were been handled with iron fist like IPOB and Sunday Igboho, we might not be where we are now. 11 Likes |

As I observe keenly I see that many of the people here who comment about the IPOB, ESN, UGM issue do not actually do it with all the variables, causes, effect, solutions, etc and with a balanced view. Some deliberately distort the history of this menace just to be politically correct, others even make unsubstantiated claims just to massage their blind and political and ethnic biases. Here I see many Nigerians who are blind, deaf and dumb to equity, justice and fairness. I have seen how misguided MNK and his group have been, I have also seen a President that is completely clueless, unintelligent and unfit for that exalted position. Governors of the South East also created a vacuum in governance, while their people were being slaughtered at night much much earlier they put up acts that portrayed them as powerless and helpless. As it stands Nigerians take the word of their security forces with a pinch of salt because of years of abuse, corruption and injustice perpetrated by these security personnel and a government that is usually indifferent. See ehn we can talk from now till tomorrow, until we have leaders who are ready to do right and citizens who are ready to stand United against bad leadership without ethnic, religious or blind political bias this country will go nowhere. 11 Likes 1 Share |

Xbee007: Put the blame on can and Catholic bishop conference. Every church have a youth wing and nothing stops CAN or catholic bishop conference from empowering the youth to defend their land. If the youth in the area aren't enough, more can be gotten from neighbouring communities. The Christians in Nigeria are not holier than the Pope and Christians of old who declared and fought crusade in other to rescue Christian countries from Islamic rules. 4 Likes |

The dreaded Boko Haram Islamic sect has taken over 500 communities in eight wards of Shiroro Local Government of Niger State. The latest development also came six months after Governor Abubakar Sani Bello raised the alarm that Boko Haram elements had hoisted their flag in Kaure Village of the same local government area, with Buhari doing absolutely nothing about it. The incident in Shiroro Local Government Area was confirmed by the Chairman of the council Mr. Sulaiman Chikuba while that of Munya council which occurred on Thursday this week was corroborated by the council Secretary, Mr. James Isaac Jagaba. The two officials spoke to journalists in Minna yesterday. “As the Chairman of Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, I can tell you that Shiroro is not only dealing with the issue of banditry, Shiroro has a lot of Boko Haram, I have proof of this as the chairman,” Chikuba said, adding that “Boko Haram has proclaimed that they do not want conventional primary and secondary schools, their only preference is the Islamic school. “They have told the people that they do not want primary or secondary schools in the communities and that they only want to see Islamic schools. They have been trying to incorporate and recruit the residents of the communities to become their members, telling them that they will give them arms and assist them in fighting the government,” Chikuba explained. Narrating what happened at Kachiwe community the council secretary said: “the entire community was wiped out, the miscreants took their time to set all the houses and barns ablaze before leaving with some women.” “The bandits set all the houses ablaze, burnt 10 people alive, abducted 10 women and slaughtered the others. “After carrying out their atrocious act, they met two people on the way out whose vehicles broke down, they stopped and killed those two people and burnt their vehicles. In the process, three of the abducted women escaped and the bandits went with the remaining seven women,” Jagaba said. The secretary further disclosed that the miscreants after the operation at Kachiwe moved to Shapè Village under the Sarki Pawa ward where they slaughtered nine people while others in the community took to their heels pointing out that they (bandits) also killed seven people in Gogope ward. Jagaba lamented that the miscreants were successful in their dastardly act because of lack of communication which made it impossible for them to contact the security teams in the areas before pleading with the government to restore the communication network to the local government area. https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2021/10/02/boko-haram-takes-over-500-communities-in-8-wards-of-shiroro-lga/ |
