ARGENTINA SEEKS TO STRENGTHEN RELATIONS WITH NIGERIAN AIR FORCE

The Argentine Ambassador to Nigeria, Mrs Maria De Carmen Squeff, has expressed the willingness of Argentine Government to deepen the existing cordial relationship with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in relevant areas such as aircraft acquisition, training as well as surveillance and radar technology. This was revealed today, 28 February 2019, while on a courtesy visit to the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, at the Headquarters NAF, Abuja.

The Ambassador emphasized the strong desire of the Argentine Government to strengthen the relationship between the two countries beyond economic and political collaboration. She noted that Argentina, beyond being renowned for meat production and excelling in the game of football, among others, has over the years, developed significant capability in aircraft manufacturing and radar technology which has helped the country to better secure its land and maritime borders whilst also contributing immensely to the successes recorded in the area of agriculture. She explained that the NAF could explore the opportunities inherent in Argentina to strengthen Nigeria’s capability in surveillance and radar technology to further build on the successes so far recorded in the counter insurgency operations in the Northeast of the country.

In his response, the CAS thanked the Ambassador for offering the NAF such a great opportunity to improve on the relationship between the two countries while noting that the Service was always ready to explore all avenues to further professionalize and build needed capacity. This, he further explained, was the reason why the NAF had invested greatly in the training of its personnel not only locally, but also abroad in countries like the United States of America, Russia, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan and many others, to acquire the needed skills to perform their jobs more effectively. Air Marshal Abubakar expressed the willingness of the Service to explore the opportunities presented by Argentina and would make arrangements to send a team of NAF officers to visit manufacturing/maintenance facilities, production plants and military training institutions, amongst other places of interest, to assess the opportunities available in Argentina. He noted that the Government of Argentina could as well send a team of experts in relevant areas of competencies to engage with NAF specialists here in Nigeria.

Why are you so wound up about India vs Pakistan? Are you Pakistani? Or possibly an African or a white guy?

India isn't Israel either. Only outside powers like US, EU, Russia & China can challenge India. All countries together in this region and nearby regions can't stand against India alone.

Wg Cdr Shahzaz Ud Din of No 19 Squadron (Sherdils) flying F-16, son of Air Marshal Waseem Ud Din, Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Operations) PAF one of the pilots of the F16D block 52 which was shot down by a MIG21.

He has died in hospital due to the sustained injuries during ejection and the subsequent beatings by own country man ( kind of tragic comedy ).

Haven seen the Indian navy and knowing Pakistan operates subs a blockade could work but it would be costly. I don't rate the Indian navy that high

A post by Khalid Umar he is family friend of the KIA Pakistani pilot whose family reached out to him with the news of their sons death. It was he who first made public the news of the said pilots death and the reason behind it. Later confirmed by Ind... assets. Yet to be acknowledged by Pakistan. Google if u want.

The moment when Pakistani officials got their ass handed back to them when they tried to demonstrate " Truth is the first casualty of war " was when Taiwanese airforce categorically rejected their claim that the AMRAAM wreckage shown by India is from Taiwan stocks.

Pakistan released the Indian pilot because what else where they going to do. There is now war so he is not a POW and he is a severing member of his armered forces his acts where not a criminal act. So if pakstan kept him they would of viloted several internastional laws and could of suffered trade embargoes. This is why even Iran let's the US sailors who got lost go. Brazil released the RAF pilots that made a emergency landing (even have the Jet back) and China released the crew in a spy plane that was spying on them go.

Hell most littraly spies are released if captured (traitors not but spies yes)

So the fact the guy was let go is not shocking. He was probably captured, checked out in hospital then interviewed/Intergated and then let go.

Hell Angola let a south African sepeciol forces operator operating in angola in civilian cloths go. In fact he was all most executed until the realized he was SA spec ops and not a merc.

Countries by and large are not the type to keep hostages.
