It is no longer news that the great Igbo people are true promoters of unity in Nigeria with the Igbos developing far away lands where they reside across Nigeria and West Africa. The wisdom, intelligence, brilliance, tolerance and ingenuity of the hard working Igbo people are not in doubt.

Lagos have been and is still the major non Igbo state beneficiary of Igbo developmental contributions with Igbos rapidly developing the real estate, commercial, manufacturing, entertainment, education and other socioeconomic structures of Lagos State. Thereby, greatly boosting the Lagos economy by the income generated from huge Igbo paid tax, provision of employment opportunities for Lagos residents by the large number of Igbo Industrialist and business men and women, provision of luxury and affordable accommodation which beautify Lagos unlike other Yoruba states, provision of social amenities like potable water, roads, health care and scholarships by the Igbos to Lagos resident as well as boost the quality of education by provision of quality private schools.

One of the major reason Lagos is the economic center of Nigeria is because the Igbos developed the manufacturing sector and control the Lagos markets and continue to invest and spend on the Lagos economy thereby improving the overall purchasing power of the Lagos economy.

I make bold to state that Lagos would have been under developed like other Yoruba states if not for the numerous vital Igbo contributions to its economy. Ask yourself why Abeokuta and Ibadan is backward and under developed despite being close to Lagos and being Yoruba regional headquarter respectively.

@OP. You are an ignorant fool. I usually ignore your sort because your low IQ and cretinous idiocy means your brain is incapable of taking in knowledge. Yet I will contribute the article below for the sake of ignorant folks from the SE raised on a diet of unquestioningly peddling the ignorant drivel that "lagos/SW will die if we pull out" and such delusional nonsense. The problem with you guys is that your parents failed to get over the civil war and they brainwashed many of you to the extent you say the most stupid, illogical and asinine garbage that makes you ignorance and deceit personified. The SW would be a thriving Country if it were independent due to the unique and understated talent of the Yorubas you are incapable of giving them credit for because of the vile indoctrination that has turned you into a creature of hate happy to lie to himself and others. Instead of Nigerians, like people of the SS because of the part in bold about the region, to face what is important you will all come online lying and denying the Yoruba credit because of historical hatred. You guys should get over yourself and start respecting others because you are only sensitizing the new generation of Yorubas that you hate us and do not appreciate our tolerant live-and-let-live approach to life. You have your own issue you never face and must wake up daily to seek confrontation with the Yorubas in an attempt to prove a post-civil war point to us.

Be very careful OP. There will only be one loser in the war you guys want today simply because you have not gotten over that fought many decades ago. The article below , for those who don't deceive themselves, show how strong and near independent the SW is today. While the new generation leaders of the region have been working silently you are all bragging all over the place, migrating to the SW and then abandoning the plight of your region of origin. Charity begins at home dude. You and others will not find it funny when you get the confrontation you want so start respecting others and let peace reign in the SW which is a peaceful, tolerant and very accommodating region.

Igbo people seriously need to grow out of their inferiority complex. The civil war is history, the igbo people lost it. You guys should accept this fact and move on. The African-Americans have still not moved on from the post slavery wahala that is why they are always angry with whites. My generation is not responsible for the war, we don't care about you guys, we don't migrate to your regions cause our region have enough prospects for us to succeed, we don't compare our region to yours because we are not inferior people. Why the hell will an American wants to compare New York to Lagos? it is only an inferior Nigerian that will always want to compare Lagos to New York.

INFERIORITY COMPLEX IS A BAD THING. Even if you open 1 million thread, it won't still go a way, it's within you.

Classic.

I guess OP wanted to provoke a heated response by posting something like this, right? High time you began to understand that you may be doing more damage to the unity of Nigeria than you thought. There is a huge difference between facts and tribalism. Tribalism is a cancer that often kills the tribalist.

Point of correction,if u argue about tribe u dont single out an individual,,,dangote might be the richest in africa & adenuga a telecom magnet, but do u know tht anambra state in the east has the highest number of bilionaires in nigeria,,,
if u are talking about cities i've being to virtually all sw states,& se states & can confidently tell u tht Lagos is the only city more developed than other se states just like aba is industrialized more than ogun state because the number of life markets & industries in aba has changed cannot be compared with the number of life the few industries in ogun states has touched..
. The markets in aba & onitsha sales far better than whatever market the sw has in the likes of ibadan coz ibadan is even facing recession coz it cant compete anylonger those 2 markets in the se states i just mentioned,,,coz the standard of living in aba & onitsha is far better than tht of ib,,,check out how dirty & backward ibadan is as a commercial city compared to the developement in onitsha & aba...
moreso,if u have travelled around the world u wount be talking about lagos & abuja airport because our neighbour here ghana as small as the country is has a more better international airport than ur so called giant of africa,,
Finally,if u talk about federal universities in the sw & se they remain the most competitive in the country coz both region can be ranked equals academically so dont be decieved tht u stay in lagos & watch tv stations of things happenong around you..
tour the world & see things for ur self...

This is an insult to the various other tribes like the edos, the ijaws, the urhobos ,the hausas ,the fulani, the kanuri the tivs, idomas, who collectively made Lagos what it is and the accomodating nature of the yorubas .

Keep it up. Keep whipping up negative sentiments for yourself and your brother's. When you now see the fruit of your labor, you will be crying. Yoruba's don't talk but act, and they have very long memories. Be careful, your stupidity and lack of respect for other's will not take you anywhere. Is it rational that I will leave my father's house a dump, and go and develop and contribute money to another's?

A lazy and mentally handicapped person will wait till soup is done and go and try to reap where they did not show because people like you OP are too mentally damaged to cook your own soup. This thread shows you have a low level of intelligence, lack critical thinking and puts your people in a very bad light. Like sub species or little kids with limited wisdom.
