As reactions to the infamous threats against the Igbos in Lagos by Oba Akiolu (The Oba of lagos) increase, Nigerians in the Diaspora have taken it to the international sphere by protesting and submitting letters of protest / petition to the White House, International Criminal Court (ICC), Canadian Parliament, the British Parliament and No 10 Downing Street, United Kingdom.

The Oba was over zealous. Sure he never meant what he said.
One must be mindful of what he says. Words once spoken cant be retrieved.

The Oba's statement was tasteless but the question is - what should be the reaction?

King Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived said this in Eccl 7:21-22

Also, do not take to heart every word that people say;+ otherwise, you may hear your servant calling down evil on* you;
for you well know in your heart that many times you yourself have called down evil on others.

In life , we must always appreciate what we have.

Presently there is peace in Lagos State and businesses are thriving. A wrong reaction or an over reaction to a stupid will jeopardise a lot of things.

There is a way that looks upright to a man but the ways of death is at the end of it said King Solomon.

Remember that man's wrath or anger does not work out the righteousness of God (James 1:20)

Perhaps 100,000 Igbos perished from the progroms, the secession to right the supposed wrong just led to death of another 3million or so.

A 40year old complains she has no husband. She is involved in an accident and loses a leg. What do you think will be uppermost in her mind now?

What do you think should be uppermost in the minds of people now? We all have "a leg" we take for granted. Don't through the baby out with the bathwater.

Remember, man's wrath does not work out the righteousness of God!

This is how it starts; protest to create awareness, next it gets to mainstream media and finally a formal petition to ICC. Before you know it Oba Akiolu is whisked out of Nigeria to Hague in broad daylight. Two groups of people you don't threaten...Jews and Igbos.

Oba akiolu you better start kissing your wife goodbye, you'll be first Nigerian traditional leader to enjoy sentence at Hague.
Foolish uneducated bigot. Foolish leader of yorubas.

take a chill pill,he was with friends, Igbo friends and they were having fun, haba.

This is how it is going to play out

1. ICC would ignore those jokers protesting in those pictures.

2. Akiolu would remain the Oba of Lagos and he will not apologize to anyone

3. The Igbos ( not all but a mischievous majority)would vote in annoyance for Jimi.Agbaje.

4. Most previous Yoruba supporters of Agbaje will give Ambode a swing vote because of the annoying unending tribalistic rants of the Igbos ( not all igbos but the mischievous ones)Online and Offline.

5. Ambode would win

6. Igbos (mostly the mischievous ones) would have permanently lost the little remaining trust and goodwill the yorubas used to have for them

7. Life would continue in Lagos to the shame and consternation of mischievous Igbos ( not all igbos are mischievous.)
