Man, 23, Shot Dead Over Alleged Ballot Box Snatching In Plateau by ijustdey: 5:15pm On Apr 11, 2015

The Plateau State Police Command on Saturday
confirmed the killing of a 23-year-old man during
the governorship and house of assembly elections
in Jos, identified simply as Salim. “One Salim was
shot dead by unknown security operatives during
the elections.
“We are not sure of further details but we shall try
to find out the circumstances and get back to
you,” Mr Emmanuel Abu, Spokesman of the
command, told the pressmen.
Sources told newsmen that Salim ran into the
voting arena at the Ali Kazaure Polling Unit,
grabbed the ballot box and attempted to run
away with it.
The source said that security operatives keeping
vigil at the polling unit, ran after Salim, arrested
him and hurled him into their security vehicle, a
Toyota Hilux.
However, as they made to move the vehicle,
Salim jumped out and started running. The
security operatives were said to have ran after
Salim and shot him dead.

What is this country turning into? When will we get sense?
Why are some of our youths allowing themselves to be used for cheap political goals, while the politicians are in safe haven, enjoying themselves?

Everywhere you go, ballot box snatching, thuggery and violence of all sort..

Still looking forward with hope to that time during elections in Nigeria when:

1. People will not travel massively from north - south or vice versa due to fear of election violence.

2. Our politicians will be matured enough to accept free and fair elections and stop sponsoring thugs to disrupt polls for their selfish interest.

3. Our youths will wisen up and shun evil politicians that want to use them for political thuggery.

4. When elections in general will be held peacefully, free and fair.

I strongly believe that day is coming!

I read d write Mr knw it all... Yeah he jumped out of d pickup... So our trained security officers can not catch a single young man alive but injured

Alikazaure is the street I grew up in. It's now dominated by the muslims since after the previous crisis in Jos.

However, the abokii shortened his life for nothing. Youths should stop this rubbish
