The cult war raging in the last six months in
Agbor community and its residents, Delta state,
reared its ugly head when suspected cultists
operating in the areas allegedly killed two
persons, including a pregnant woman.
According to Leadership, the tragic accident took
place around the Benin-Asaba Agbor
expressway on Tuesday, April 15, 2015. The
victims of cultists were killed and dumped by
the roadside, thereby causing palpable tension.
Local police have arrested several suspected
cult members but upon interrogation and
investigation, highly placed persons allegedly
intervene to set them free.
Police sources at the divisional police
headquarters said that officers were on the trail
of the suspected cultists. He added that two
persons were arrested while the search for
others continues.

Meanwile, the corpses of the victims were taken
to Agbor General Hospital Mortuary, while some
persons who claimed to be relatives of the
deceased were seen crying profusely.
It is worth mentioning that Agbor and its
environs have been under the siege of cult
related activities where scores of people have
been allegedly killed in the last few years.
Two month ago no less than 12 persons were
killed by a group of cultists in Agbor and Boji-
boji Owa communities of Delta state. Among the
