barcanista: He had NO idea! He's being out of government for more than 30 years na. He's lost touch with reality. His social programme alone will be gulping a very sizeable part from the entire budget. 30 Likes 2 Shares |

barcanista:u said that sure p didn't capture up to 200k people, and I told u that the case wasn't because the govt had no money to cater for more than a million candidates, but because of corruption and the willingness to steal. My argument thus is that paying 5k to some millions of unemployed youth is feasible but no advisable. There are many avenues to raise that cash. So, I will advise he pay thru skill acquisition programmes. If $2 is saved from each barrell produced, there will be abundance to cater for many woes. 2 Likes |

francizy: Buhari has no democratic ideals and coupled with his 12million "Talakawa" voters up North it would be difficult unseating Buhari. The future looks bleak though nature has been known to favour Nigerians when faced with autocratic rulers. 20 Likes 3 Shares |

dearpreye:The same Buhari that has been talking of reducing "Recurrent Expenditure" is the same buhari that promised a non-feasible social program that will add a whopping 1.8 tr annually to our recurrent expenditure. Where in God's name will he see the money to fund it? Will he take loan? Taking loan to fund social program is synonymous to eating your future. That will be "Another Greece Loading...". I have a firm belief that Buhari may end up achieving nothing tangible throughout his 4years going by your thread barcanista, his social programme no matter how lofty the ideas are are bound to be hijacked by the snakes in his government because Buhari is a weakling in power.....smart politicians in his cabinet will still wreck more havoc to his plans except he stick to technocrats for power, petroleum, agriculture, education and foreign affairs ministries. 15 Likes |

I just downloaded, read and took a screenshot of all 20 pages of said APC roadmap. I would be quite callous to expect them to deliver on all those. Those were actually written and graphicalized by good copywriters who had very vivid and idealistic sense of imagination. I have always praised the PR and Media arm of APC, I hope they come up with some form of abracadabra to turn off to an appreciable level, the level of expectations Nigerians have bestowed on the incoming government. My heart goes out to Buhari, who might not be able to handle these pressures and when they start pouring in, really I fear for his health. Why has Osinbajo gone silent? Why are there more news filtering in on Jonathan's loss and his campaign funds. Could this be a propaganda to quell the masses demand for 5k and free meals with the excuse that Jona finished all our money on elections (which might as well be a lie)? Why is Buhari so party conscious, this is the same path Jona took (trying to placate everyone) and lost popularity with most of the populace. The social media painted to me, an image of a man who is ruthless, who takes no prisoners....having read his recent interview, I must say this, I am not impressed, I have to point out though, that he made some statements that showed his selflessness and will to do the Nation good.....I hope his willpower sustains that. Well, these are mostly random thoughts and I hope things pan out for the better in the near future. Despite my convictions about the APC, a huge part of me still looks forward to a better Nigeria, a changed Status quo. So help us God. 29 Likes 4 Shares |
