I would say it's because most Nigerians are not properly informed on the one hand, and also because our politicians do not address the real issues. . . |

I would say their voting honestly does not make any difference. The winner will stil be selected, so why go queue? |

The common Nigerian will sell their vote for a few Naira because he/she needs the money and believes whoever he/she votes does not count anyway so i'd better make money out of it. A more educated Nigerian just wants the best for himself and will vote for the candidate who's likely to help him the most i.e the one who's either his/her uncle, or friend or friend of a friend so he/she can get something in return when the candidate comes to power. All Nigerians that do not vote just can't be bothered because of all the above reasons. How can you be registered if you don't have a home above your head, how can you trust the electoral process if at every election some voting cards with relatively same writings just appear out of nowhere etc |

Some economists have explained that voting is not a rational from the point of view of any individual - your single vote won't make any difference. So if you want your favorite candidate to win, you also need to mobilize others. |

because their votes doesn't count. Voting is just a ceremonial thing in Nigeria and that's why the results never tallies with the number of voters |

I think we should try our best to vote and encourage others to vote. But before that, we should be active in promoting the candidates that seem to have good intentions. |

They THINK voting does not make a difference. They do not trust the electoral process. YET, it's the same pple who will open their mouth and say elections were rigged or complain abt how inefficient our leaders are. If u do not vote, u do not have a right to complain! |
