NOT BUHARI...IT IS GEJ THAT DID. PEOPLE SHOULD STOP SPREADING FALSE RUMORS.
both you and every other person that commented on this didn't even care to read d article. It simply says, "Buhari endorses Adeshina". It didn't state that Buhari chose him or has been pushing him forward. He just simply "OK-ed" d guy..

Between 1983 and 1985, Peter Onu of Nigeria was Acting Secretary-General of the OAU. At the 1985 Summit in Addis Ababa, statesmen like Julius Nyerere, President of
Tanzania, lobbied for his election as substantive Secretary-General. However, there was a major stumbling block to Peter Onu’s candidature: his Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, was campaigning against him.

In the election of the OAU Secretary-General in 1985, Buhari voted against Nigeria and for Niger instead. He secured the election of Ide Oumarou, a Fulani man from
Niger; as opposed to an Igbo man from Nigeria. By so doing, Buhari became the first and only Head of State in the history of modern international relations to vote against his country in favour of his tribe.

Hmmm food for thought but couldn't he get votes or did buhari have the sole power to install him. Makes you wonder about his competence/popularity for you to be disowned by your Countryman

Did you not read the singular reason for buhari to campaign against him was his ethnicity

Do you know who's Julius Nyerere?...For him to support anybody tells so much about Peter Onu's pedigree in the office he's occupied for almost two years prior to Buhari ethnic bigotry...

There's no way out of it for buhari in terms of ethnic bigotry... Did you see his interview on why SE/SS aren't voting APC his party...Buhari has not changed but I pray he doesn't allow his bigotry to define his administration... thanks

@ Rawani and smartChoices. you guys thought I was making this up. just as I got the name from my dad and was about to furnish u guys with d info, whynotthetruth answered. u see, Buhari was very sectional and tribalistic. he would execute people from other tribes for crimes that don't deserve execution but would pardon or give lighter sentence to his own. but like I said I hope he's a changed man.

Dr peter onu was a reputable man even other African leaders were disgusted at buhari. so stop making excuses for buhari because he's very far from being a saint that many people of this generation think he is.

Was idi agbon a fulani

stop playing the victim
this is what caused all our problems in nigeria, always ascribing race as a reason for every failure
