Ahead of the May 29 hand over date when the new administration of President-Elect Muhammadu Buhari takes the reins, there have been speculations about political appointments and position.

The question of who takes over the job of the outgoing Dr. Reuben Abati as the Special Adviser on Media to the incoming government has been attracting a lot of interest.

After much scrutiny by the ExpressNG editorial team, we bring a list of the top five candidates who may get the job of the mouth-piece of the newly elected regime of the All Peoples Congress (APC).

Dele Momodu

“Oh, I have no doubt that General Buhari is set to create an upset in Nigeria’s political configuration,” this was the prediction on ace journalist and publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu.

Known for his brutal words, Momodu who gunned for the number one seat on the platform of the Labour Party in 2011 would no doubt stand out if given the ‘megaphone’ to speak for Gen. Buhari.
Dele Alake

Henry Dele Alake is a Nigerian journalist, activist and technocrat recognized as one of the heroes of Nigeria’s democracy.

He was a former Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Lagos State between 1999 – 2007 under the then Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. He got involved in active politics in Nigeria as the communication advisor and confidant of Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola the acclaimed winner of the annulled June 12 presidential election in Nigeria in 1993....
