How ironic is it that with all the ministries and agencies setup to develop ND from their oil, nothing much is still on ground. Not forgetting that those agencies and ministries are all headed by Niger Delta sons like Orubebe and they all have billions of dollars in budget.
keep hating while SW keeps progressing. At the end of the day, some people will say they developed Ogun and that Oke-Imosan (where the gov. house is located) is a no-man's land.
Oh BTW, it is reported that Ogun state has the highest number of industries in the country. Its the industrial hub and according to punch the state is like Jersey in US
[b]Did you see similarities between Ogun State and New Jersey? Absolutely! Ogun State is the ultimate bedroom community in Nigeria, serving the commercial nerve centre of the country – Lagos. According to 2007 GDP estimates by Wikipaedia, Ogun State is ninth in Nigeria in terms of GDP ranking, with approximately $10.5bn GDP. And the state population based on the 2006 census, is about 3.75m and 16th among the 36 states in Nigeria. It also has the highest number of post-secondary institutions in Nigeria, and is reputed to have produced arguably the brightest Nigerians over the last century. Ogun State has the highest number of Fast Moving Consumer Goods companies in Nigeria. Agbara Industrial Estate in Ogun State is in fact the largest single industrial estate in Nigeria that houses plants that are among the biggest in the world. Cumulative cement production in Ogun State is among the largest in Africa by a state (or equivalent). Though there are no publicly available GDP figures for Nigerian states since 2007, it is safe to assume that Ogun State may have slightly moved up the ladder in recent years. But the state should actually consistently be among the top four or five states in Nigeria in terms of GDP and economic growth.

I am pretty sure the state can find substantial fund from its IGR. The federal revenue from oil is just an extra income tongue
So keep hating while SW keep moving forward.

Nooooo.

We are planning with Ondo and Itshekiris' oil and our IGR, being the most industrialised state in the country.

The same state has oil reserves around tonkeji island, between badagry and Benin republic boundary.

How about that.

My brother,
I am not even concerned about the oil sef. History has shown that ideas rules supreme over money.
Just checkout the world powers. How many of them rely primarily on oil.
The US has vast oil reserves but for decades they were even importing from us. UK has zero oil as at the last time I checked but many so-called Niger Delta indigenes will be glad to trade their Nigerian passport with that of UK. Meanwhile the oil rich Niger delta have averagely lower standard of living than their SW counterparts. Of what good is oil money if it cannot better the lives of the citizens?
I know their is oil in Ondo and recently rumored part of Lagos, but I am more concerned about the ideas the government will bring. Money without ideas of what to do with it will just end up in the hands of OPC like it is in the hands of the militants in SS.
Bring good ideas, and you will be surprised that the funding will come - with or without oil. I will rather live in Switzerland instead of the oil rich venezuela.

Lol

Itsekiri oil?

First of all, the Itsekiris are limited to a section of Warri and are found only in Koko island outside warri township.
So stop claiming Warri as an Itsekiri town. There are Ijaws and Urhobos who claim Warri as well. There is the Ovie of Warri and the Olu of Warri as well. Also Delta state is not only Warri. We have most of the oil wells sited in Urhobo and Isoko as well as Ijaw areas. Escavros is a main oil producing area and it is mainly Ijaws!

As for Ondo, what little oil you have there lies in a disputed border area with Delta and is under Ijaw communities.

As at last year, ondo oputput was being projected to increase to a mere 30,000 bpd.

So I use God beg you never ever in your parasitic life claim warri.

See this leech.

Even if itshekiris have just a parcel of land in Niger Delta, we have every right to claim every resources that lies therein.

So the Ilajes in Ondo have suddenly turned to Ijaws? Wonders shall never end!!! So, you have suddenly turned the high sea I had dwellers into land grabbers. I tire got you oooo.

Read up your history and come back for a sound lecture.

Even if Ondo is producing 1,000bpd, it is still called oil. Even at 30,000bpd, it is still the highest producing oil state after Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta. That is a fact.

Forget all your noise about oil. Does China, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany, Finland or Denmark have oil.

Ideas, mental capability, thinking faculties and human capital are the currencies of the 21st century. So purge your myopic mind of oil that constitutes nuisance to the environment and expand your mind to accommodate ideas. Bill Gates is not an oil mogul and he is richer than 2/3rd of the countries of the world.

Who said Warri belongs to Itshekiris alone or are you reading backward?

Which GDP will give Ogun people the money to afford to pay the fare?

PPP's also involve govt financial commitment as well

So between Ogun state govt and passenger fares when will the 3bn be paid?
the truth about this project is that it is part of a national grid the Chinnese were offering under Jonathan.

With an APC govt in place, the Chinnese are re marketing the project in APC states in order to persuade the new govt from not scrapping it!

But trusting the ever lying SW Apc rascals, they will want to claim credit for it.

Again this project is a scam in the making

This project is a scam n Jona was d one that initiated it?Hmmmmm.Told u last tyme.Trade ur beauty 4 some brain. This is if u av any.
