Getting Rid Of Tinubu Remains The Number 1 Challenge For Buhari Administration by adekole: 8:55pm On Apr 29, 2015 |
There is no way Buhari will be able to do his job accordingly as the president of Nigeria when people like Tinubu still lingers around his brand new administration. President Buhari must quickly discover a perfect strategy to disable Tinubu... Is either he probes him or set him free. Something must be done within the first 100 days, or else Tinubu will once again get comfortable and turn things into business as usual. Regardless of the end result, Buhari must take action. This is the only way many inside and outside Nigeria will take this new administration seriously. How do you arrest or probe thieves when your best friend is also a thief? It makes no sense...Therefore, for me, Tinubu remains the number 1 challenge for Buhari...everything else can be dealt with accordingly. 17 Likes 2 Shares |

If Tinubu is corrupt why hasn't he been prosecuted even with GEJ as President? 13 Likes |

Yes. If Buhari is sincere about sanitising the system, then he will soon run into a war of attrition with Tinubu. If not, he is a joker. I see both men disagreeing on key issues very very soon. I see Buhari getting rid of Tinubu. 8 Likes 1 Share |

How is this true? If Tinubu is corrupt why hasn't he been prosecuted even with GEJ as President? That is the point. Jonathan or Obasanjo couldn't probe Tinubu because these people are not only corrupt as well, but also keep corrupt friends. This is why we can not afford to have Buhari keeping dirty friends...the end result will be the same old story. Buhari must get rid of Tinubu asap, so that everything else could make sense. 11 Likes 1 Share |

I tire for una ooo PDP ruled nigeria for 16years and they couldn't come out with a case against him and you want someone who is yet to be sworn in to lock him up? Well bro atleast his looted funds brought a candidate we all have hope in to power not like others whose looted funds are used to develop other countries. adekole: 4 Likes |

You are all jokers. None of you here could give Buhari the platform to become president after 3 previous tries, then the same Tinubu you all love to hate got the job done in spite of PDP's hate-filled campaign against both men. Tinubu essentially repackaged Buhari for mass appeal and practically handed him the ticket to the presidency. He made him likeable across-board -- a feat hitherto unachievable by the general, hence Buhari's admiration for Jagaban. Now you wise-crackers want Buhari to get rid of Tinubu. Well, you got another thing coming coz it ain't happening. If you all are serious enough about Tinubu's guilt you don't need to wait for Buhari to bring him to book coz you all can initiate the lawsuit. The million dollar question is why didn't GEJ's gov't prosecute Tinubu all along? So it's Buhari that will now do that? You are sitting on a long thing. 15 Likes 2 Shares |

Without any questions, Ashiwaju has done well, and we appreciate and respect what the man has done for his country. But if Ashiwaju truly cares and loves this country, now is the time for him to step aside and allow president Buhari and his crew to take us to where we want to be. There is absolutely no way this administration could prosper with Tinubu in the mix. In fact, other thieves on the list to be probed are waiting to use Tinubu as an excuse. The idea is, Buhari can not touch anyone if Tinubu remains his best friend. In a nutshell, If Tinubu is not touched, then Buhari must not touch any corrupt government officials. So, I agree with OP. getting rid of Tinubu will not be easy, but it will happen without any doubt. 5 Likes 1 Share |

It would be easy to get rid of Tinubu now Buhari is President. Tinubu only has 4 states as opposed to Buhari's 16 states in the North. Buhari has the power to lock up that crook for life. 5 Likes 1 Share |

adekole: OBJ probed and jailed Tafa Balogun, Bode Goerge, Alamiasegha and many other perceived political enemies but has nothing on Tinubu. Jonathan, the dumbest president of all time tried using code of conduct bureau to arrest Tinubu but has nothing on him. The only place you hearabout Tinubu's corruption is among you sore losers. OBJ probed and jailed Tafa Balogun, Bode Goerge, Alamiasegha and many other perceived political enemies but has nothing on Tinubu.I can not be a loser, simply because I support APC with my heart and soul, but if we want the best for our country, we must be honest and work together as one. Tinubu must lay off. If you do not know that Tinubu is a thief, then something serious is wrong with your head. Just because other thieves weren't able to nail him doesn't make him to be an angel. Even Tinubu knows that Tinubu is a complete thief. It is now up to Buhari to either send him home or send him to jail. If anyone could make this happen, it will be Buhari. I guess, we shall see the end result, but Buhari must take action asap. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Buhari apparently didn't know Tinubu was a thief when he was sponsoring his bid and ensuring he won the presidential primary. Fact is without Tinubu's effort Buhari won't be in that office today. 5 Likes |

TippyTop: You people never learn. Didn't the same North vote for Buhari in 2011? And didn't GEJ trounce him then in spite of that ? Without the Southwest's 25% votes for GEJ in 2011(which the same Tinubu youlove to hate delivered to him), he wouldn't have won, despite his popular votes tally. Buhari is honorable and tactful enough to handle Tinubu without burning bridges like GEJ did with OBJ. We all know how that turned out. 8 Likes |

OoduaVanguard: GEJ won many northern states in 2011 compared to now. Even Benue and the rest of the North central went to Buhari, stop arrogating Buhari's emergence to Tinubu. Tinubu couldn't deliver 60% SW votes to Buhari, the SW was shared between Buhari and GEJ 55%/45%. 3 Likes |

TippyTop: Dude, no amount of fuzzy math or spin will change the fact that GEJ lost to Buhari in 5 out of 6 SW states -- FACT. You are allowed to claim 'moral victory' all you want. Bottom line is without the ACN/CPC merger there would have been no APC, and we have Tinubu to thank for that more than any other individual(s). 9 Likes |

Apc/Tinubu supporters and hypocrisy.they want Stella jailed, they want GEJ jailed infact they are urging Buhari to to probe and send to jail all corrupt politicians but any time thie.fnubu name is mentioned they become defensive.Thie.fnubu is one of the most richest politician alive today,so the source of his wealth must be invitestigated like others or else Buhari should forget it.For those saying why hasn't GEJ probe him all this while if he was corrupt that's not an excuse because nobody knows what deal they had before 2011 election and more over GEJ didn't probe Madueke and Stella Odua too that means they are all innocent. We Nigerians will not accept selective justice from Apc.So op is on point...Buhari should start with Thie.fnubu and Amaechi if he wants to be taken serious. 2 Likes 1 Share |

@OP Allow GMB to run his government and work with people he chooses. We all can judge his performance and the people with him after. Everybody (The Good, The bad and the Ugly) has his/her usefulness. It depends on how and where GMB will make use of Tinubu. Dont take Panadol over what is probably not giving GMB an headache. 5 Likes 2 Shares |
