Every year, approximately 180,000 graduates leaves the NYSC scheme per year. Though the figure will fall because of the recent reduction in NYSC Batch. The big question that all corpers should ask is, What Next after Nysc? Less than 2% of corpers are absorbed into the labor force. What happens to the 98%? That's a puzzle.

Wise corpers use the nysc period to add value to themselves to improve their chances of employment. Some embark of PGD, others do NIM etc, these are all professional development course. In your CV, there is a section for Professional Development Activities where you put your training, seminars etc relating to the job you're applying for. Thus, it is wise to take up a course to improve your potentials.
