Persons suspected to be assassins yesterday attacked Benjamin Oke’s family of Umuogodoakpu community, Ngbo in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and killed two of his children.

The attackers also injured one member of the family.

They were said to have butchered Chidiebere, four and later, machete to death Chisom, seven before attacking the eldest child, Chinonso.

The police in Enugu State have arrested a suspect, Monday Nnaji, for allegedly killing a secondary school boy, Great Nwobodo, in Amodu community, Nkanu West Local Government Area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP Ebere Amaraizu, who said this in a statement in Enugu on Monday, added that the killing happened on June 6.

we all know that PDP is not contesting & you are very much aware the both parties(APC & PDP) will never agree to one candidate. I still maintain it APC might see themselves now as Barcelona while the PDP is Liverpool so you see the more reason to be careful by any of them that wish to most importanly PDP

Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State on Sunday attended the funeral of 25 persons killed by bandits in a fresh attack which occurred on Saturday in three communities in Rabah local government area of the state.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Tambuwal together with heads of security agencies, traditional rulers and government officials later condoled with the families of the victims after the burial held at Gandi town.

NAN gathered that the bandits who were in large numbers raided Kalhu, Tsage and Geeri villages near Gandi and killed the 25 persons.

The attackers were said to have engaged in indiscriminate shooting from around 5pm on Saturday till Sunday morning, after which they carted away hundreds of cows, sheep and other valuables.

Rabah has been experiencing bandits’ attacks in recent time, with people losing their lives while many others who were rendered homeless now taking refuge at an Internally Displaced Persons camp in Gandi.
