IPOB condemns shutdown of Nnamdi Kanu’s Facebook page

The Indigenous People of Biafra has flayed Facebook Nigeria for allegedly shutting down the page of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

The group’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, in a statement, said the action was taken by Facebook Nigeria to diminish the growing popularity of Kanu in his cause.

Powerful said the page had endeared Kanu to most people as it was used to expose the atrocities of government.

He said Biafra, during the Nigeria’s Civil War, suffered great denial of media space, and IPOB would not allow a repeat in the 21st century.

Powerful said, “We can confirm that Facebook Nigeria has shut down the page of our leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

“This is not unconnected with the fact that our leader’s page has become a rich resource for those determined to expose the evil regime in Nigeria and enthrone a better life for the masses.

“We mince no words when we say that Facebook Nigeria is more corrupt than the corrupt government they are seeking to protect.

“Biafra suffered immeasurably as a result of denial of media space in the late 60s, a situation we are not prepared to allow in this 21st century.”

1. Iranian-backed militia fire rockets killing an American soldier and a few American contractors in Iraq.

2. Trump orders a retaliatory strike on the Iranian-backed militia, killing at least 25 of them.

3. Iran and Iranian militia are outraged and Iran orders retaliation against America, they instigate an attack against the US embassy and set fire to it with the intention of burning it down.

4. Within hours of embassy attack, Trump sends reinforcements to the embassy to prevent a repeat of Benghazi 2012 embassy attack which killed American Ambassador to Libya.

5. Trump orders the killing of General Soleimani who ordered the embassy attack through the militias.

6. Iran is shocked that Trump made true his threat to make the Iranians pay dearly for crossing the red line and attacking the American embassy. So Iran vows to retaliate and “make the Americans pay severely”. They threaten fire and brimstone against the American troops in the entire Middle-East.

7. Trump makes it clear that he does not seek war, but if Iran decides to start a war by retaliating and killing any further Americans, He will bomb Iran like they’ve never imagined. 10. Iraqi Prime Minister informs the troops and Americans sharing the bases with Iraqi troops that Iran will be firing missiles at the bases in 1hour, so they need to evacuate. The Iraqi and American soldiers at the bases all take cover and evacuate.

It was all joy for Ebonyi Civil Servants in the capital city of Ebonyi, Abakaliki today as queue was observed in all the the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) within Abakaliki as jubiliating workers were observed to be carrying out transaction after early morning alerts of their January salaries which the Governor, Engr. David Nweze Umahi FNSE FNATE ordered their payment to effect the new minimum wage of N30,000.

With this, it’s crystal clear that Ebonyi State Becomes The First State To Pay Minimum Wage amongst the 36 states in Nigeria and at the same time aligned with the Federal Government and Nigeria Labour Congress agreement for the new minimum wage of 30,000 Naira.

The Federal high court in Abuja today grant the application by DSS to detain publisher of sahara reporter, Omoyele sowore for another 45 days. Sowore the convener of #Revolutionnow movement and formal presidential candidate of the AAC was arrested by the department of the state secret service (DSS) over the weekend over allegations of attempting to overthrow a democratically elected government.

The presidency was in high spirits after the #RevolutionNow protest across Nigeria this week, and it showed in the press statement it issued.

A feeling of triumphalism swept through the presidency on the night of August 5, 2019, after it quelled the #RevolutionNow protest spearheaded by a group called the Global Coalition for Security and Democracy in Nigeria.

One of the lead conveners of the protest, publisher of online news platform and former presidential candidate,Omoyele Sowore, was picked up by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS)a day before the street marches and remains in the custody of the secret service.

Presidency spokesperson,Garba Shehu,issued a statement afterwards, gloating about how poorly attended the revolution protest was across the country, even though the organisers had boasted beforehand that it was going to bring the federal government to its knees and possibly sack it.

1..The ‘revolution’ was derisively called a ‘phantom’ one Phantom is another way of saying something is fake or doesn’t exist.
