It occurred that she looked emaciated and we decided that she should go for test and the test result says she's is HIV positive. Being a weaker vessel, she was highly depressed and very much afraid. About a week after the diagnosis she developed stroke such that she could talk properly, she can't move her hands and legs and worst off all, one can hardly hear what she is saying.
She was rushed to Lasuth and later to Mainland hospital at Jibowu Yaba. She is currently on sick bed in serious pains and agony. She only screams cos she can't talk. She can't eat so she has only be taking drips which we try to pay for on daily basis.
The doctor and nurses even said her being alive is miraculous.
Right now, she can eat and is responding to treatment but we members of the family seem stranded financially as we have spent all we had on her in terms of paying a worker to clean her up on daily basis, buying hospital materials like glove, face mask and pampers and all manner of drips and we've already spent over 30, 000 naira as she has been on the hospital bed for close to two months. Now Pampers and glove have finished. Today, the doctor asked for about six thousand to undergo series of test before placing her on the much needed ARV drugs but NO MONEY. Please Nairalanders help!!!

Yea, the doctor/nurses said the ARV drugs are free but family members are currently stranded cos the children have spent about 30k already. Though, I wonder what cause stroke, weather it is the virus or fear/hypertension/depression. We hopefully hope to get money for the test and for every other things cos she's is currently writhing in pain at IDH, in Yaba. Sadly enough, she has been the bread winner of the family while the children being students are doing little or no work.
